I visited the pickleball scene at Holiday Park at Fort Lauderdale, FL and it was bustling; 6 courts had on average 50 people playing 3 continuous hours both in the morning and evening. It was free to play and they converted a roller rink into 6 fence divided courts. Great to see NY has a space now too. 14 courts can support 110 people, with 8 people per court, switching players after every 8 minute game. A fond memory for me in this sport was competing in my first tourney with players 20,30,40,50 years old with equal competence; it was physically humbling to be challenged by the even older players.
