Back in the day when i was an apprentice gamekeeper i would catch mink in a blind set dug in the river bank with a fenn trap and a rabbit head or a bit of fish for bait. Those traps of yours look far superior to the fenn. That set was almost invisible.............Good work.
That’s a hot spot when you can find a small inlet coming into a bigger stream, you’d doubling you chances there. A spring inlet to a stream is dynamite too it won’t freeze in the winter. I love the bodygrip traps, I use 110, 110 magnum and 120 with the double spring.
Excellent, delighted you caught the mink. Last year and this year was a write off for me, I was and am still dealing with a seperation so all my focus has been on my kids. I will hopefully in the next few weeks get back into mink trapping and making videos again but they won't be to the level I was as they take a lot of time of which any chance I get now is spent with my kids. Bit like I said I will shortly, I'm just waiting on a few things to fall into place. Congrats again on the catch!
Hope it all works out for ya, you've some great skills and make the countryside so much more interesting for the kids, have you read "outdoor kids in an indoor world" I think you'd like it. Take care
Sorry for delay in replying. On a set like this I don't use bait, it's a natural travel way for them so it will catch without bait. Cage trapping I'll use either tinned tuna or cheap tinned dog food.

The mink can run but they can't hide from Hollowpoint 🙂
