Still listening to these guys in 2024, and more than likely for the rest of my life. I bought their Timeless album back in 2016, and it so good that I named it my album of the year. I listen to lots of music, but I listened to this one constantly from front to back. Even today I still can play it in the car on long drives and fall in love with it again. It came out not too long before Melvin died. As a fellow stroke survivor, I loved the fact that he was still able to sing on this album after his stroke. His voice wasn't as strong, and some studio work was needed to improve parts of it, but you could tell that is was genuinely him. It must have meant the world to him to be able to contribute after such a debillitation medical incident. Every time I'm able to achieve small steps of recovery from my own stroke, I pull out the Timeless album just to hear Melvin's voice as motivation.
What an amazing live performance of one of my favorite After 7 joints. Those voices are gifts of God. RIP Melvin I think it's coming up on a year soon.
