This was very touching, well made & interesting. The animiation was different and drew me in & the kids did a great job of the narration! I hope progress has been made in the last 13 years. 🏆
This is a wonderful presentation of a 'lost' part of Welsh history. As a kid growing up in Ely in the 1950's/60's we played endless games around the remains. Now I live in New Zealand I feel an immense sense of pride in sharing this piece of Ely history
I live right by there "heol y castell" which is quite fitting of a street name after watching this. There was a lot of Iron Age and roman activity in South Wales 1000+ years ago. So much to be learnt and so much more to be found.
Amazing research, & filmography, about the historical landmark of Ely, Cardiff, St Mary's Church, as a lot of stuff was hard to discover, I found out, when I researched for making Sarah's curse 1974. Well done to all those involved and for your hard work in creating such a telling and entertaining video
That is brilliant film but shame we had to have idiot Round-heads spoiling the little old church. It was only last year retired Rev. Nicholas (Oswestry Christchurch) told me that he was from Ely and asked me to look it up. But I found no history about it. This is unique. The children from Trelai primary school have done an amazing job. Iron Age hillfort was most probably left out of history books as it is in Wales. Welsh children should have access to Welsh history that it can be taught in schools. The old church could be made into Ely Hermitage Center combined tourist information.Where visitors could buy arts & Crafts rather like we have here in Oswestry on the Welsh Boarder. I like the music used in the short film, here is my website: www.shimro.co.uk
