Fujikura best of the best
Fascinante
Why touching it with a greasy finger after cleaning?
Good Practise to brush from the edge using finger tip, to seperate the fibres which stick together after alcohol wipe. Note that only the edge of fibres are touched/brushed which will be cleaved off into fibre scrap bin anyways. The finger does not touch the part of fibres which are going to be spliced.
yes you are right@@FluxNet
Wow good
my 70r burns singles but will splice ribbons just fine have calibrated electrodes but it keeps burning singles. what are some trouble shooting tips to fix issue
Ribbon splicers are generally not recommded to be used as a replacement for single fibre fusion splicing because different fibre count requires different ARC Power adjustment. Its better to have a cheaper core alignment fusion splicer handy if you are doing a mix of ribbon & single fibre splicing. If you want to use 70R for both single and ribbon you will need to do ARC calibration each time you switch from ribbon to single or from single to ribbon fibres.
Hard to control splice loss
