Thank you so much, I don't receive child support at all for neither one of my children. However, randomly my daughter's father would send my daughter maybe $150 every 6 months or maybe $300. When he does he try to question where the money goes or why I spent money at target. I get so angry because if he knew his daughter she loves target clothes, and they have her personal needs she needs on daily basics.

Exactly. My ex took me back to court in Texas to lower the CS. He stated in the petition that his CS paid my bills. After I submitted all my child's bills etc he looked like a fool in court. His CS went 100 % to my child while I contributive 300 %. His CS was actually then increased based on his income he submitted as he lied to avoid increases.

How about we stop giving primary custody to the parent who is less financially stable automatically, if you can’t handle the basic necessities on your own as a parent child shouldn’t be with you...... child support is not helping the child it is only subsidizing the income of the other parent to be close to the others, but at the same time the parent without primary custody still has either the same or close to the same expensive everything that parent with the child has the opposite parent need to have whenever the child comes with them..... and most of the time when the parent without primary custody has the child for an extended period of the time the other parent doesn’t compensates them their money back for the time the child wasn’t with them..... if you can’t take care of your child while they are in your custody that is no one else fault but your how about you do better at life

From my experience as an attorney, I can’t say that the child is automatically given to the less financially stable parent. Financial stability doesn’t play much of a role in determining who will be the primary parent. It has more to do with one parent’s daily duties of the child.

von How about stop having a provider/dependent model [i.e. (non)custodial parents] and not being solely concerned with what the noncustodial parent makes for the purpose of putting a price on the (wo)man's head? Here's another idea. Let's leave the Federal government out of parenting all together.

I agree. The government should not have to tell parents how to rear their children. The parents should work together and decide. However, that’s in a perfect world so in cases where parents can’t get it together, the intervention of government serves its purpose.

So, everything you just said the custodial parent has to pay for applies to the non-custodial parent as well with the exception of school lunches, but it could be argued that it is a grocery bill that increases when the child is living with you. Now this is fine for a single parent whose baby's momma or daddy doesn't want the child in thier life, but not for a parent that wants 50/50 shared physical custody. Even if they only got 45% physical custody the non-custodial parent still has these same bills as the other parent. Where is that calculation added in at. Oh!! That is why Texas and all other states besides Kentucky don't have a default shared custody law. This is why the courts make it exceptionally hard for non-custodial parents to get more physical time with thier kids, so that the courts can justify child support. This is an absurdity that is tainted by politics and not the best interest of the child!

In California mothers income also is taken into consideration. Just saying
I never hear that here always the noncustodial parents income. I really tried to be reasonable in requesting what was needed. I feel sorry for father’s in Texas. All the ugly fighting about money is sad.
My daughters relationship with her dad more important to me then lots of money. So I did not let it become issue. At one point I was getting nothing because he was not working. Then went to low paying job so I was only getting $35 a week. Then went back to good paying job and I started getting 200.00 every 2 weeks. I just did not slow the money to define what was important. Child support was extra money. I can take care of me and my child. I think not many people are able to feel as I do. I also only have one child. I like nice things and I wanted to live a nice life so I made that happen for me and her. I got this! The end

He mentioned that total operation for child support is $3 billion enforcement but state profits $ 11 billion. 9 billion profit the state if Texas and absolutely doesn't go for the beat interest of the child. Poor black. Brown and our white brother are struggling to be responsible and where does that money go. Respectfully speaking please tell us the entire truth about child support.

Can't put bills in the mix because that's their own bills and people don't always spend 11 dollars a day however everything that you have to do as far as living functional and the custodial should get relief and it's called shared custody. Child support the way it's set up not only hurt black or poor people but it's a downfall for building stronger families.. This American court system has robbed me of my kids and placed my daughter with a child molester who has them as slaves. The state stole my rights lied in court given me janky psych docs fony parenting class which I could have taught i went to jail and got out she wasn't picking up or answering the door at those class times they sold my daughter and her siblings like cattle to a child molester man who's single and gay and the boy is always locked in the basement while my daughter is working as a maid i can't call cps because they would make it harder for me to find.her. as I didn't do anything wrong to get my rights or the kids took they shut.me and my family down i need help taking these ppl down end getting my daughter and her siblings with my family where they're safe but the state is a con from child support dfs cps and those bs title 4 section D laws that's made to profit off black people.

Dont they have to pay for all those same expenses? Like an extra bedroom, extra light bill, clothes, etc. And what about the custodial that is on public assistance not due to a disability? Should they be given access to food stamps, section 8, daycare vouchers, when they can work? But then the state goes after non custodial to pay debt back to state, isnt that double dipping the non custodial? And to get those benefits the custodial is basically saying...." I cannot properly take care of my child" but instead they are given help, but if a non custodial is behind in CS, they are punished?

When the couple was married, it was skys the limit family OR sorry family we on a budget. Now they broke up. HOLD UP time to cut back. Cant roll like back in the day. Daddy's got to move on also with his new life. ( of course the child can come along for the ride) . Its bull to make someone pay $1,500 to $5,000 or more depending on thier income. Good afternoon judge Vonda B. First off I would like to say I have been watching your channel for some time now and want to say that a lot of your information is informative but a lot of it ain’t. You go into breaking down what 350 dollars broken down is a day but you don’t explain that the law states well in New York that is 17% of your gross income is what you pay for one child . So you figure you would have to gross any where between 370 375 a week which would add up to 88 dollars a week that in return be 352 a month. Also the other parent as well is equally responsible financially for their child as well. Also if the person paying child support has a minimum wage job and that’s all he can get due to lacking certain skills, maybe the person does not have a H.S diploma or even might be a felon. These are factors to consider as well. And you not yet specify if the child maybe and infant or a young adult meaning 17 and older. Now yes I would agree with you a 100% on a infant needs a lot of help but again you can only do what you can. But and adult child which I call them that cause it has to come a time when they have to start contributing. Also child support is not intended to leave the other person where they can’t survive or is it? Thank you for you time and your show but you need to show more situations with more people with realistic income instead of 50 and 75 thousands a year. And talk about young adult teens and even college.

Meaning if your receiving child support on gov. Assistance ( living rent free receive gas card also government pay the light bill last thing is they get food stamps. That alone is almost $2000 a month for them. This debunks everything she is saying but guess just dont have kids if dont dont want to have problems.

350? Got damn that's a lot.... Guys just don't have any kids.

  • @tt-wy1xr
    @tt-wy1xr 6 лет назад

That's some very very bad accounting. I hope your not presiding over anyone case. I have been on both sides of the coin(Experience). Kid live with me without any child support and pay child support for a kid. It sounds like your trying to justify that title 4-D funding you all get for them child support payments. First, if both of them parents are involved then that kid has two homes so both parents has to provide a extra bedroom. I am sure both houses has lights to. The primary parent light bill will be slightly higher maybe about 70 difference at most between the two homes. Food cost also may be alittle higher 150 difference and transportation about 75 different. 150+70+75= 295 plus insurance if child not on medicaid about 350 to make a total of 295+350= 645 a mouth split between parents. The child support formula is completely way off and its artificially increases the cost of raising a kid for the one who is paying child support and choosing to be involved. The cost of raising a child is the (parent cost to live- the expense the child adds) which is not a big difference in most cases. That formula only works when one parent is a absent parent or a deadbeat. I don't know where you get 11 a month from when both parents are paying to provide a home for that child. You would have to exclude the fact that the child has two homes for that 11 to be true. Its sad that the system is so focused on title 4 funding that its more beneficial money wise to walk away from your child then it is to be a parent to your child after a break up. Try this math. If he walk away and just pay the 350 and never provide anything else he would pay what he would have paid had the household stayed together. If he chooses to stay and parent his kid then he has to pay 350 or close to it while providing the same thing that the custody parent is providing in addition to expenses such as clothing, products and other things for the child. The parent who does the right thing for they kids get the raw end of the deal. I am sure when the government made this law that they figured that most people will be suckers for they kids. The smart ones abandon they kids and pay the child support.

Shomari Monroe A paternity (DNA) test needs to be performed. The husband is presumed to be the father unless he is excluded through paternity testing.

I hate these analogies. It’s always like the dad doesn’t have the kid at all. Times are different. Dads are in their kids lives. Even though some kids does not live with their dad what about when they pick them up to and from school/ when the father has the kids when they feed them cloth them etc WHILE on childsupport . Shit if that’s the case . When I pick up my kids your ass better make me a pot of food for when I have them and give me 11 bucks for the day when their at my house using up electricity etc

If a father's name is not in the birth certificate of his son and he has been paying child support to the mother. When the name is added to the birth certificate does the father have to pay back all the past years, does it begin only from the day the father's name was added to the birth certificate or is there a quantity deducted from what he payed already in the previous years if there is some prove? Thank you.

Lol I have to laugh at all of you,you mean to tell me that you need someone to tell you what's best for your children and what your children need and don't need huh, which equals what you should have never been a parent you cant even make your own decisions and I bet you'll be the first ones to get offended when someone says you can't possibly be a good parent well how could you your being told what to do by people that dont even know your children for one, and number 2 they probably have more problems than you just be straight forth and say your there for the check like no one can figure that out,and lastly if the parent that won custody of the children had to pay for everything or give the child to the other parent you wouldn't see one person in court this is a B/S scam

You over generalize way too hard in this to support the extortion of good (wo)/men with their childrens best interest in mind..I dont condone dead beat parents but each situation is unique. The judges as well as child support employees benefit off extortion of the non custodial parent. In fact, you all wouldnt have jobs if we had a remedy, so that is something all of you do not want. I could poke holes in most everything you said but I'll save that for a place that it may actually have an effect

David Morris Extortion? Two people laid down and had a child without using a calculator first. That's not Judge Vonda B's problem. If you cannot afford the legitimate expenses of a child you should have kept it from happening to begin with. So go ahead and make a video "poking holes" I'll wait. I don't think you really should be poking holes though, that's how people get in this mess to begin with and then blame everyone except themselves.

And something else that you did not touch on Division of Family Services would not allow a child 2 sleep in the same room as the custodial parent that is why a lot of parents on child support and Social Security barely making it but if they would budget and do without that new car and all of this that they could easily make enjoy your program I wish you would make a playlist I hope did you have a enjoyable day attempt to stay cool over there in Texas because they has been a hot summer
