My applause what a cover bro! 🤟🏻
Awesome Work! Thanks for share!
Your right hand is amazing! Well done, the rhythm and getting the vibe from John. Thanks, well played.
Great video! After nearly one year without playing my bass thanks to work and studies, I challenged myself to play that song. This video will help me a lot with my practice. Thank you!!
Just amazing 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Really nice dude. Keep it going :D
Thank you so much bro :D

That makes me happy bro :D
Sheet music for bass : you are great ❤❤❤
EXCELENTE
Thanks bro :D
Good job! I started to play this song it s full of theory and lessons
It is Nadya , I even have another video studying that trick part isolated :D
Great tone and technique
Glad to hear bro :D
I love the video, but I also love the fact that the your bass kinda sounds like my own. Most sound very different haha
that was very good. I like seeing the notes and the hands. very few people do that. I don't know if you read music or not but you followed perfectly.
Thanks Alfonso!
Just subscribed sir!!!! Wish you the best!
Thank you so much broooo :D

Amazing skills bro!
Love that part bro! Thanks :D
Am I the only one that hears "Welcome home- Sanitarium" by metallica at 3:31 ? . Awesome playing bro ;)
Now that you've mentioned I can listen some resemblance yes :D thanks bro!
3:30 - 3:51
Jesus Christ.
I love John.
as a long time dream theater fan and noobie bassist, I was watching this video and thinking "hey this track isn't that bad..." until that part LOL
Keren
Fucking insane skill my hands hurt watching this 😂
3:32 🤯 this is great!
I think like the bass is a bit burried in the mix for the album in that part. I never realized that the bass was doing that insane part.
@@MarianoGianni1 That's interesting! I'd always listened the bass in that part and thought to myself how is it possible that someone can actually play those scales so fast. But yeah it's not very clear, perhaps because you have a guitar in the background and strong vocals and drums at the same time
nice playing but why would you make the tabs so small
Head-banging while playing next lesson yeah.
Both hands would be out of picture if I do haha
3:20 Hell yeah!
My fave part too :D
@@RobsonBaroli you have to be a beast to play that, very nice !
Rob before his great arm tattoo lol!
A looooong time ago XD
Great man. What bass do your use?
Hats off to David Prater for the outstanding drum mix. If Portnoy had his way this album would have not gone gold in the US and Platinum in Japan. 👀
Im give up thank u
Me : i am bassist
3:30 - 3:52 exist
Me : i am not bassit 😅
Any chance of doing same kinda video with Freebird?
Some insane Bass lines in there. Hard to find a proper cover.
Ofc there is, my friend. I have a Patreon page that you can support the work and request any song you want. :) www.patreon.com/robsonbaroli?fan_landing=true

Is it possible to get a link to the tab/music itself? My eyes are terrible and I can’t see them properly.
It is! A got a PATREON with all of it :D www.patreon.com/robsonbaroli?fan_landing=true
i love your facebook page how did you set it up that way?
Glad you like it bro!! Well I just try to keep organised :D
Before reaching the bridge: Yeah I can probably learn this relatively quickly...
After reaching the bridge: well, 0.25x speed here we go.
where can I download these bass tabs ?
hello sir where can i download na tab? thank you so much
You can get this tab on PATREON www.patreon.com/robsonbaroli
Ayo man just learned that bass unison thanks to you, can i ask ur opinion? U can find the video on my channel
How to buy your sheet Tab bro ?
Hey bro, at patreon - www.patreon.com/robsonbaroli :)
What brand of bass are you using in this video?
It is a Lakland 5501 bro :D
Thanks any pointers on the part of the song with the scale progression up the neck
Gotta love min 4:00 after slaying the whole thing, he lets go his left hand like “this is way easy frfr”
What kind of bass is that?
Tunning?
Gnl bass?
Why is your playing slightly different from the tab added?
This song its most of the easy you can play at fact the john myung used a 4 string on that record. But i play 5 string and have atleast 7 basses but i use my 5 string to all music. But the other DT music its hard you need to be good to play them
Wtf are trying to say?
@@theodorleijonbergandreasse3228 you need to be very good to play these song by Dream theater on your freting hand
@@recordlabeldao7820 yes that's very much true haha. Thought you went a bit all over the place with your first comment. I agree with you that Pull Me Under is probably one of their easier songs on bass. Still requires some stable technique and skill.
Theodor Leijonberg Andreassen yes not east i think this dream theater lines are for bass player who have played a long time and learn to master the frets fingers.
I usually play DT with 6 strings, but Images & Words was recorded mostly with a 4 strings indeed :)
I’ve always wondered why the song ends so abruptly
its just how their recording works
its the same as fading out, but the songwriter doesn't decide to fade out
The song intentionally cuts off like that, because part of the song deals with how sudden death can be. The sudden ending of the song is just like an unexpected death of a person.
Another explanation is that it was inspired by The Beatles’ Abbey Road side A ending, and MP explains that the melodies are building up and it just “pulls the carpet out from under you”. When asked about the abrupt ending while at a drum clinic in Atlanta in 1999, Mike Portnoy explained “We had all this tension, and it just kept building and building, and we had no idea where to take it, you know? So we decided to just pull the plug on it, like The Beatles did with She’s So Heavy.”
The song’s abrupt ending was modified in their Greatest Hit compilation.
Can you share the tab sheet? :)
Yeah, sure bro! Join my discord server by my Twitch channel. i think it's the easiest way to send you the tab :D
@@RobsonBaroli Nice, thanks a lot! Awesome cover btw! I'll be playing this song with my band at Hardclub (Porto, Portugal) tomorrow night :D
@@zepereira6292 finally got me a PATREON where you can get all transcriptions :D www.patreon.com/robsonbaroli?fan_landing=true

That music gives me some "Metallica" vibes. Kinda like "Sad but true".
Are you a human bro ??
haha I sure am, I guess XD
It's not in HD
You have the option between 720p or 1080p depending from your internet connection :D
You're right, my bad... Awesome playing btw :D
Bass was actually audible. 0/10. Just kidding, very cleanly played, kudos!
