Hi bro,i am from Tamil Nadu.i share some news Here what I know about vetiver.vetiver is a Tamil word. Meaning for veti in Tamil is to cut/dig and ver means root. We want to cut the grass then dig the soil finally we take the roots. Now i hope you all get to know how the name vetiver came. Then this a most auspicious root in our hindu religion in south India. Because abhisekham (which means bathing god statues - please search in Google for details) is done by soaked vetiver water only.apart from these all it is used as a medicine in various things. Some are to cool our body, ingredient in hair oils Etc. In Ayurveda treatment It's mentioned the smell of vetiver wake up and energizes the nerves in brain,head and hair roots And gives a calm relaxing effect. Used to kill the fatigue. Etc etc.Mr.Thierry wasser (Guerlain in house perfumer) also told they buy vetiver from south India. And posted a pic in vetiver field at sathyamangalam - Tamil Nadu. This vetiver is available in all local country medical shops in Tamil nadu which costs around Rs.10 - 20 for a packet. But mostly it is not a good quality. ( because in my childhood in our home lot of vetiver plants we planted and taken roots. That quality still I not find In stores). sorry for the long story felt to share with you guys. Thank you guys

I just received my first natural attar, ruh khus from ML Ramnarain.
The smell is magnificent. Cannot describe it in words. Takes me back to my childhood days when we used to put khus roots in drinking water which we used to store in clay pots.

Using khus attar/इत्र from last more then 20 years. In my experience it is best in rainy season. No doubt in scorching summer also it is good especially when used in evening. After evening shower. Swaimadhopur forest/ Ranthambhor forest in Rajasthan is the place where it grows and its roots is the part which has such miraculous fragrance.
Vetiver is actually a root. The word vetiver is derived from Tamil word vetti ver. In tamil the word ver means root

I have one from Zak and it's VERY strong, almost difficult to wear for the first hour because of how pungent and earthy it is, but once it dries down it's fabulous! I have an attar of his where I can detect the khus but it's restrained and provides an amazing backbone to the scent - think it's Wajood, or Waquood, something like that!. Great video as always and very informative :)

Vent to my class under Dr.Steve Senat (worldly respected Osteopath, DO, MD), one of my class mate was wearing Khuss, even it was freezing cold (in Dehradun) but she was smelling divine, whenever she crossed my table even without looking at her i could tell it was her who just crossed me, that minty (very little sweet smell) it was sometimes giving fruity taste but sometimes floral, what a dynamic material khuss is, I really want something similar to what she was wearing, which i am not able to find it yet.

I have Ruh Khus from Zak. I use a very verrrry small amount and it is still overpowering. Clearly fresh batch. Does it mellow out with age like Patch and regular vetiver oil?

In your opinion, how do you see a mix of oud oil, saffron and a little of ruh khus oil?
I wanted to give it a try for summers so I purchased from johrimals,good material,very grassy smell first two hours then it turns somewhat sweet. How can one tone down the grassy note at the beginning as it not appears pleasing to women. No doubt This stuff gives cooling effect.

I have felt happy... My father is using from S Md Ayub MD Yakub from 45 Year's. I ordered one this month. I mixed with Dehanal Oud and i felt the waves and Longivety is too good. At end of the night.... Mix turned in to Dry Mogra smell. Just got amazed. Thanks for your detailed Reviews.

I am using "Hayati" by Al Haramain and it smells so wonderful, so wonderful, my entire family is crazy about it. I know that its not dimensional but when something smells so nice, it does not need more dimensions to make one happy. I bought Attar Khus today. Very dark green and think liquid. Strongest smelling attar I have ever tried. Now I know why you like it so much. But I don't think everyone will like it. It needs one to try other lighter attars before trying Khus.

Nice take Nikhil, have ordered Ruh Khus from MLRN. Using Khus C from Ajmal, but it seems to be much less complex than what you describe here. Also it looks green in the bottle but light brown near the top of the dipstick. Is this due to difference in quality or is it something else?

I'm purchasing some khas from Uttar Pradesh that I saw on Hermitage oils. It's produced via solvent extraction. I wonder how similar or different it would be from the M.L. Ramnarain one. Do you know where one can find Taif Rose oil?

Very pertinently put it was those cooler coolant side panels that would exude such a beautiful earthy smell that is hard to put into words. Unfortunately, I can not access any of the attars you review here as I live across the border. In the previous comment I had asked about authentic attar manufacturers so that I may request someone belonging to India to get me some attars when they go home from Saudia where I work currently.

I have ordered ruh khus from agarwoodasams, it's the greenest thing I have ever smelled. Also got a sample of attar oud patchouli , I wish you could review it, it's very special
The great Meme in the sky - I have 2 bottles of oud patchouli from Zakir Bhai, fantastic stuff. One of my all time favorite, get it before it’s gone.

I ordered the ruh khus and the Javanese patchouli from him. The khus.. God the first few minutes are pretty overwhelming and pungent, but then it evolves into that sweet drydown, which is beyond stunning💚
The patchouli was very interesting too, but didn't have that sweet drydown I was anticipating!?
I wonder which patchouli oil has that sweet note? Or are they blends which I smelled and mistaking it for pure patchouli oil?
It does not have sweet dry down. It dries down to where you feel medicinal effects. Zakir bhai has Oud Patchouli on Etsy.

I just ordered 3 ml of ruh khus, I believe it is an attar, that is as green as the one you're showing here. I have high hopes because I do like vetiver as it's used in Lalique Encre Noire à l'Extreme. Some of my other attars have it and it's always the last thing to remain on the skin.
Well, my Ruhul Khus "by D'Arabie London" arrived, if anyone wants to know. It's extremely dark and green, just like what Nikhil shows here. It smells like dusty, OLD wooden barrels. A bit stale, and also somehow oudy. It's not unpleasant, but I'm not sure if this was a good bottle, but I'm hoping it'll grow on me.

@@NIRAJ786007 Price of 1 tola is 700. Hami bros has only one quality but if you go to ajmal (few shop away from hami bros) you will get 2 qualities normal for 700 and superior khus (A) for 1250 rs tola.

Nikhil bhai ek bohat hi important baat. Maine suna hai ki khus ka oil jitna fresh ho utna hi acha aur badiya hota hai. Fresh oil 2 3 saal tak chal jata hai. After that period oil bohat hi thick GADHA hota chala jata hai, uske baad kala ho jata hai aur chipakna shuru ho jata hai aur khushboo bhi kam ho jati hai. Is it true? Ye point zaroor clear kijieyga kyonki mujhe kafi fikar lagi huyi hai kyonki maine kafi quantity khus le ke rakh liya hai.
Khus oil jitna purana utana acha. mere paas gadha wala kannauj ka ruh khus hai jo Nikhil ne video mein bataya hai. Ek boond dusre din tak tikti hai.
