This is very naive. The more influential a person is, the riskier it is to hold them accountable. Most people are docile wage slaves who are risk averse and will look the other way. In a corporate structure, being willfully ignorant is how you get by. In that same structure, being a psychopath can make you successful. Would you be willing to risk everything for something that you could just ignore and it wouldn't have a direct effect on you? If you look around, most people don't wake up until the issue becomes unavoidably personal.
