    98 400DA gas here. I’m gone in the time it took you to turn off the switches. 😄
    Honestly you did everything by the book and to new boaters there’s nothing wrong with teaching the proper techniques especially nowadays. Been boating since a baby.
    My technique:
    I turn on battery breaker to run fridge, run blowers and start. Then unplug the shower power in the transom locker and throw the ropes. To each their own!

    Good video. I captain a 360 SeaRay and I use the same steps. It's a bit tedious and SeaRay doesn't give you a cheat sheet. Good job.

    Have a 2000 380DA that is virtually identical. Have yet to splash the boat since it was trucked up to Maryland from Florida. Your video was helpful, thanks.

      You’re welcome! Enjoy your 380, the classic SeaRays are such amazing boats!

    Why turn off each individual AC relay followed by the main, Couldn’t you just turn off the 2 mains?

      @shoopsdostuff  10 месяцев назад

      Yes, but I like to slowly enable each load when re-powering to shore power. Just personal preference.

    I think you are overdoing it here amigo

    just wondering why you wouldn't just shut off the main breakers for ac voltage after shutting the ac down?

    • @shoopsdostuff
      @shoopsdostuff  10 месяцев назад

      Great question, I like to slowly re-apply the load from each individual breaker rather than powering everything up at once from the main breaker. Just personal preference.

      Thanks! Yeah, we are missing it this Spring already. I don’t have the exact height but my Dad is 6’3” and had no issues walking around in the cabin or at the helm.

    What is your shore power set up? A 50 amp to boat with two 30’s on a y hooked to boat?

    • @shoopsdostuff
      @shoopsdostuff  Год назад +1

      Yes, exactly that. It allowed us to run only one cord to the boat.

    just a tad overkill

      This isn't overkill at all. It's being a smart boater who cares about his boat. You can do what you want on your boat, probably keeping the mechanic busy.
