Can you please let us know the most authentic Turkish restaurant closest to the Istanbul Airport (for breakfast, lunch, and dinner). I'll be traveling there in 2 weeks and I'll be staying in the hotel connected to the airport. I want to stay near the airport on the first day. Thank you.
Also, can you please share a caffeineted beverage that contains dairy? I noticed that Turkish chai and knave typically don't contain dairy, but I like my coffee and black tea with heavy cream, half n half, or milk. Or would I just ask for an American coffee?
The best Istanbul food guide I've seen. Period. I've been a big fan/recommender of 'Eat Like A Local' in CDMX for a long time and to realize there was a connection made perfect sense. :)
Hello! I just returned from a trip to Istanbul and your videos were wonderful prep for the trip. We tried all of your recomendations for food and they were all spot on. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas!
I am looking forward to visiting istanbul very soon ( for the new year even ) with my fiancée. I would like to thank you for your very informative videos and guides. They have all been bookmarked and saved, and I am hoping that we will be able to share some of your experiences for ourselves. And to see what bargains for us Western Europeans can be had. Thank you!
I LOVED the video. You should work for the Turkish Tourist Board as you would inspire anyone to the lovely country. I would, one day LOVE to visit and eat all these lovely foods. Thank you for this wonderful glimpse into Turkish food.
Me and my partner went to almost all your food stops and not only did it make our trip so lovely in terms of putting us in touch with local foods, it was tremendously delicious! You are the best- thank you!
Bery Thank You so much! I am using your restaurant guide to do a self-guided food tour from Taksim Square to Galata Tower. Currently sitting in Lades Menemen and about to head across the street for Durum. I also have used Airlo and it is the best! I have made a note that next time I come to Istanbul, the first thing I will do is book is your tour!

I have just discovered your channel, and like it very much. I was in Türkye in 2021 and plan to return this autumn, so your tipps come very handy. About the food: I dont eat meat, so a lot of the dishes you showed in this video, are not really for me (but I still enjoyed seeing them). I am a fan of menemen, and also like pide, gözleme and soups (especially jogurt or lentil soups) a lot. You didnt cover any fish dishes (I love fish and seafood) :-(. I particularly like hamsi, we had it almost every night in a restaurant on the galata bridge. We also had an amazing sea bass fresh from the market in Kadiköy (where I also enjoyed the "pickle juice").
Best kokorec is in uskudar- salacak kokorec. Its a very small and cozy place, but after trying kokorec there, the other ones do not look appealing at all! Hope u can try and include maybe in your next video! Thanks for your recommendations!
12:25 Which type of menemen did you have? It looks so delicious 🤤🤤🤤 I have tried some in Istanbul, but they were kind of sour. I am used to bulgarian version "mish-mash" and we put a little of sugar because of the tomatoes.
