Most people hate her now because she's causing so much drama and is acting bitchier and more immature than she was before. Plus, her newer songs are terrible compared to her older country songs. Sure we get that artists change and develop, but if she goes from writing beautiful songs like this or Love Story to immature diss tracks and repeating the line "Look What You Made Me Do" over fifty times, it won't show the "evolution" that people are expecting and is basically just her selling out to pop for cash. If she is gonna change, she should change for the better; otherwise just stick to your old style that many love.

I agree. 4yrs ago, I was in a toxic relationship & the guy was awful, abusive, and narcissistic. After I finally left him, I was so broken, I didn't think I'd ever be whole again. Then I met my current boyfriend and he saw just how broken I was and he took the time to put me back together. 3.5yrs later, we're still together and I'm the happiest I've ever bee. But I would listen to this song a lot during the 6mo after my ex and I broke up. It helped a lot.

I want to say I agree, but you're halfway there. I feel like the song speaks more of how a mentally toxic relationship can shape your expectations in future relationships.
