This brings so much clarity and confirmation on so many subjects. I’ve received my heart transplant 😭🙌🏽 it was grueling at times and He stood by and held me up as I went the scenic route to get to where I am now; but He’s so gracious, so loving, I had to learn the hard way at times too, BUT GOD!! Its been the hardest journey, and the MOST rewarding because this time I did it with God and I made ALLLL the difference and it’s soooooooo worth it! There’s no greater love- none! my heart now breaks for what breaks His. He has created in me a clean heart and a steadfast spirit. He continues to teach and minister to my heart; the greatest therapist, greatest surgeon, healer, redeemer, deliverer, the great I am! I now have eyes to see and ears to hear because I am a child of the most high- the only God, my Abba Father! I am my beloveds and my beloved is mine💕 often times people chase blessings and not the blesser! Amen to this sermon! Ask yourselves: what can I give my father for His birthday? What can I give Him? He is thee bread if life! Nothing matters unless He’s in it. He is the way, the truth and life! Thank you for always teaching and speaking on the “unpopular, hard” subjects (this along with other ones of yours) most don’t want to preach and teach. Amennnnnnn 👏🏼🙌🏽❤️🔥✝️💕 the goal isn’t to intentionally offend anyone, but to speak truth and if speaking truth offends anyone- they need to seek Him in prayer and look at their own heart posture of why it offends in the first place; weed out the bad root. thank you for your obedience. Thank you Holy Spirit. All glory to God 🙌🏽💕
Often the sanctification therapy after the surgery is tougher than the transplant. God's Providence gave us a good manual if we'd just use it. Often we don't.
I felt a little wishy-washy in my faith and trust until I read God's Smuggler. Seeing Brother Andrew's immense trust in God inspired me to do that, and it's been like my eyes are opened all over again. I pray, write the prayer down, and look out for the answer. God ALWAYS answers. I feel alive because God makes me alive, and I will go to my grave believing in Christ!
Hey Gerry, who says he hasn’t? You don’t know that. Neither do I. All he said was how a book about a believer’s testimony impacted his life. Ever heard the verse saying believers overcome the enemy by the blood of the lamb and by the power of their testimonies? Testimonies like the one he referenced have the power to overcome the enemy, so I think it’s ok to reference how they impact our lives to trust Jesus more. Heard the verse of Paul saying “imitate me as I imitate Christ”? The Bible is the only Word of God but not the only source of personal transformation. Please do not shame a brother for rejoicing in God’s work!
I remember listening to this whole talk a while back, it’s so good with so much in it! This segment is probably one of the most important parts too!👍❤️
Thank you for your ministry. You’ve been a blessing to me and have helped teach me discernment and how to study the Bible for myself. God bless you and your family and have a wonderful Christmas! See you in heaven, where your reward will be great as a good and faithful servant.
I asked my mother in law yesterday if she believed in absolute truth. She said, “ I’ll get back to you.” It was not cool to hear. It was worse to hear her accept that she’s okay with going to hell. People are okay with it. I’m terrified of it. It is the scariest thing ever to me.
I can't speak for your mother, but if you don't believe hell is real, why would you be terrified of it. You're not terrified of Islamic hell, or Zoroastrian hell, and the same way you lose no sleep over those other hells is the same way people feel about Christian hell if they're not Christian.
Apostle Paul told the Galatians to stop observing Christmas, Easter, sunday, Lent, etc which are service to evil gods and weak beggarly elements. REPENT. Godspeed to every one that keeps the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.Throughout the book of Acts, we see apostle Paul and the Gentiles keeping the sabbaths, new moons, and holy days, If you cannot worship God in his new moons and sabbaths now, will you do that in the new earth for eternity? Read Isaiah 66:22,, Colossians 2:8,16,18, etc.
Its Christmas day 2022 and I awoke at 3 am and went to youtube to look for more hope from Jesus and I was drawn into your channel because you were talking on O come Emmanuel songs meaning. I truly am moved by that song. Thank you for your teaching gift for me this Day !
Do you know what a blessing it is that God would change our hearts. I praise God that He has and is doing a work, that I CANT DO, in my heart! A lot of what is in our hearts we don't even know its in there. Thank you Jesus!!!
So good! I was the “Christian” he spoke about and then I became the true believer. When you know you know! I can’t get enough of Jesus. He is my everything. My whole being craves to be in His presence and to make Him happy and pleased in me. ❤
Matthew 20:28 is by far the most important verse to remember going into this season: We give because we’ve been given. Instead of making Christmas about what good works our kids should do to earn gifts instead of coal, we need to start making it about faith - and about contentment with the one gift we already have that we could never be good enough for. Because THAT is how you celebrate this time of year the way it’s truly meant to be celebrated.
This is such an uncomfortable truth. Thank you for not sugar coating, or allowing us to feel like we are following appropriately by just going to church and that being enough. Or celebrating Jesus' birthday and considering that enough. We cannot ever DO enough. We can build a relationship with the Lord and Savior, we can really look to His word, to His way, to be like Him, then we can actually be the lights we are created and expected to be.
@Mike Winger what'spp 𝟏𝟑𝟎𝟏𝟔𝟔𝟎𝟕𝟏𝟔𝟏 What about the "myths" in Matthew ? Going to Egypt ; the earthquake, darkness and people coming back from the dead ! ; the 'ending' = 28:16-19. ( btw, I'm a Baptist )
Exactly what I needed to hear today. Trying to find a way to sit down with my 16 year old son to chat about how he claims to be a Christian, yet his world view, beliefs, and choices in music and television all say he is not. I have been avoiding the conversation for a long time because I don’t want to mess it up yet feel responsible for teaching him sound doctrine in the subject.
@@daveslyker4431 If what you consume or who you align with is not of sound doctrine, then yes. You need to listen to certain types of music, but you do need to avoid listening to music that denigrates God. I learned that lesson too. Now some of the music I used to listen to makes me sick. It's the same with political parties. God and Jesus don't subscribe to the parties here, because they're not of the world. But if one party is advocating for acts against God's will, then you can't associate with that party (IMHO, neither party is particularly Christian. I'm a Christian before I am a member of a political party)
If your son believes on the finished work of Christ for his sin, then yes, your son is saved, no matter what music or other beliefs he might have. You do not become or "stay saved" or prove your salvation by things you do.
@@daveslyker4431 I couldn't care less about political parties and partisan politics. I will not align myself with those who promote behaviors that are inconsistent with the teachings of scripture.
Hey Pastor Mike I know you may not see this comment, but I think what can be added to this lesson is showing what following Christ truly looks like in our day to day lives or in a practical way. Particularly for those who may have been raised legalistically and may think that following Christ means following arbitrary rules like not celebrating holidays or listening to any secular music. Thank you for your work Pastor Mike, have a blessed holiday and Merry CHRISTmas 🎄 😎.
I call myself an Orthodox Christian, but I’m answering you in a personal manner: I believe God wants us to really live life! Go hunting! Go fishing! Go hiking! Kiss your wife! Play with your kids! Go about your daily affairs joyfully in His Name! The rules are there not only to instruct us, but to enjoy us! When internalize the Truth, He really sets us free! And, moreover, no one can take it away from us!
@@chriskourliourod1651 I think the point of following Jesus is to listen to His voice, obey His voice, live under His Spirit’s direction, His guidance and do what He tells you to do.
Glory to God! My prayer is that as we all pause, and reflect on what Mike just shared with us, that we will hit our knees and pray for our lost family members and friends. We all have so many of them! Pray for God to open their eyes so that they may see and open their ears that they may hear. Time is short so let us not grow weary in doing good. Thank you Father! In Jesus name! Amen ✝️🩸🕊️🙏🏻
I recently finished listening to your verse-by-verse study on the book of Romans, and now I'm watching the one on 1 Peter. Have you ever considered doing a verse-by-verse study on the book of Hebrews?
@@MikeWingerlooking forward to your commentary on chapter 12 because a lot of folks believe God only blesses but doesn’t discipline those that are truly His.
Mike winger I loved this little short bit of your show. But my heart broke a little when I saw your face on level earth stuff, when you were saying it’s all wrong and we are reading the bible wrong, I could see the pain on your face Mike. But I want to tell you from the level earth parts I read in the bible, job and many other parts I then read the gospel after and have been walking we Jesus more and more . Before that subject I had no time for god at all, But know I feel happier and more full filled than at any part of my crazy life, I hope just because you found Jesus without this truth you won’t throw it away so easily Mike. Blessing and love to you mike take care. We are not moving away from everything else in space. God is above and very close Jesus will be back and all the world will see him come back,🙏🙏🙏
I ask myself this.. . I question myself on this very thing, Mike. Is my LIFE about Christ. I want to be found in Him when He returns but am I living for Him today and every day.
Thanks for sticking to the plain truth about salvation, brother Winger. This is why I think "once saved, always saved" is harmful. Many people think they don't have to do anything but "believe" and the warnings of scripture don't apply to them or their faith. God loves them unconditionally, you know! Same with pre-destination: it damns people because they think, and are taught, that if they are "the elect" they can't help but be saved.
Wow! Awesome stuff...and a great and mighty truth! I see this often and do a lot of praying over this for those I see who are not yielding to Jesus. Not to mention, praying to yield more every day, myself. Thanks, Mike. Gonna check out the full sermon.
Brother John, a good start is to read you Bible if you sincerely don’t want to drift away from your Saviour. It’s a discipline. Set your alarm if necessary- you don’t have to read huge amounts. Talk to God as your living Heavenly Father. Repent and ask him to help you in anything you know is wrong. God bless & help you, he will! xx
Remember that the things in this world are temporary, but God is eternal. The comforts, riches, and fame we have here will at best be lost when we die. The things we do for Christ will bring rewards that last forever. "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." -Matthew 6:19-21
@johnrimmontaquiso6018 I would like to share something to hopefully help you to stay on track with God. It isn't easy and takes work along with faith. (sorry so long, but I can't talk in just a few sentences) Years....ago. I was raised going to church. Like most people, I sat and listened to sermons. But rarely ever read the bible at home. I trusted it being read to me. So then the years snuck in and I got away from church and became of the world. I never forgot God nor Jesus. But I was not praising them daily nor walking in Jesus' path. And still not reading my bible for myself. I think I was afraid I couldn't understand it. Then years.....later. I was having a debate with a friend about the Sabbath day. Of course I thought I knew the bible, why not? I trusted the preacher was reading the right things and teaching me properly. So I thought I had the answers. Then I was basically forced to go to the bible and look these things up. When I started reading the bible it was like a foreign language. I had no clue what I was reading. But I remembered one verse where God said "if you search me with diligence, I will give you wisdom". Me not being a quitter, that quote kept me going. And over time, I was reading my bible. The more I read the closer I got to God and understanding. Then all of a sudden it was like a light went off in my brain. "Oh wow" I never knew that. And then I start reading the bible daily. I was so obsessed with finding out all of what took place back then. The Whys. My relationship with God was growing. I could feel his presence around me when I read and throughout my days I was thanking him for knowledge and couldn't wait to get back to my bible and find out more. Long story short. God put on my heart to read the story of Noah's ark. The formula to it in the bible did not add up. But I was diligent. I read and read. Then one day, it just came to me. I was given the amount of days Noah was on the ark. etc. So ever since then I wake up (almost daily) and ask God to take me where he wants me in the bible. And he does. He keeps me in his word. Since then I have found out a lot of things I did not know. It is now easier to read and understand. And by reading my bible and building a relationship with God has kept me on the right path. (no not being the best, no one is, but working towards it, God knows the intent of the Heart) I know this is a lot. But I am sharing with you that reading your bible for yourself is the ammunition needed. It will take you to Fight back. Don't give up. And don't give in. And always remember God is fighting also for you. "He let's us fall to our knees so that we will look up" He is waiting on you! God bless you and keep you. You will be fine.
Hey Pst Mike ,u trust you are doing well,my name is Thabani and I love your videos they are so encouraging and I always walk away feeling like I need to become a better Christian and a follower of Christ ,my qsn tho is I dont think I was made to go study at University/ college mainly because I feel I not really smart and won't cole with the pressures of tertiary education ,so I can't do seminary ( also because I don't have the finances ) so I just wanted to know how I can become a studying machine like you are and become one who reads and study different books and to know the Word of God deeply ,you r words of encouragement will really steer me in the right direction I believe
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all else will follow. Study the scriptures and listen to the Holy Spirit, be obedient in the small things and you will be given more; give and it shall be given again to you good measure, pressed down, and flowing over, may God bless you in Jesus name.
Ah yes! The call to discipleship. There is a difference between being born again and being a disciple of Christ and you’re right in saying there’s a deficit of disciples.
Ur comment is a good example of the takeaway I feared this video would facilitate. No one is "fanatic" enough, and just because someone is fanatic doesn't even mean they are saved. The ppl on judgment day that say Lord Lord, but God turns away, those ppl were fanatics. Notice how they lean on their fanaticism to qualify themselves for heaven. Lot was saved, but he wasn't a fanatic. The angels had to practically force him out of Sodom and Gomorrah, yet God declares Lot righteous. It is good to serve God to the utmost, it is bad to rely on ur flawed service for salvation. Or to use ur flawed service as a qualifier for salvation. They'll be plenty whom "served" burning in hell because they rejected God's Salvation. Matthew 7:21-23 New American Standard Bible 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’
@@arcguardian Seems the people who say Lord Lord are those who don't follow Jesus' teachings. Isn't that why He says they practice lawlessness? They aren't doing the will of God. How does that make them fanatics?
@@arcguardian RE Matthew 7:21 Correct - the 'fanatics' are like the 'holy rollers' ' speaking in tongues' Paul mentions - The bottom line is actually living a righteous life - actually living and demonstrating to others what u believe ....sermons that are no more than weekly brainwashings to prevent suicide - excuse me - "Pick up your cross and follow me !" this is not riding the gravy train ! .... and these people will walk right by u as in a trance
This is truly needed! People think he is just a good God that helps everyone and you become a Christian so that God can give you a good life ! They are deceived….

I hope you can help me with some advice. I have run a UK Christian ministry for 42 years and the ministry are Evangelical Alliance members. I have always been a very dedicated Christian. Last year one the guys involved in the ministry did something to me that completely ripped my heart out. This may sound like a very simple question but for me in my circumstance it is far from simple. HOW do I forgive this man? I really have no idea how to start and I really do need to find a way. You are by the way my all time favourite bible teacher.
Was the sign of Cain a Lion. Cain worshipped Jehovah God. He offered sacrifices to him. So did Jehovah forgive him by marking his land with the Lion. The Mark of Cain. Genesis 4:13 At this Cain said to Jehovah: “The punishment for my error is too great to bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land,* and I will be hidden from your face; and I will become a wanderer and a fugitive on the earth, and anyone who finds me will certainly kill me.” 15 So Jehovah said to him: “For that reason, anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times.” So Jehovah established a sign for Cain in order that no one finding him would strike him. 16 Then Cain went away from before Jehovah and took up residence in the land of Exile, to the east of Eʹden. Genesis 4:24 If 7 times Cain is to be avenged, Then Laʹmech 77 times.” Matthew 18:21 Then Peter came and said to him: “Lord, how many times is my brother to sin against me and am I to forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him: “I say to you, not up to seven times, but up to 77 times.23 “That is why the Kingdom of the heavens may be likened to a king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves.
Truth . I began this Christian walk as an obsessive compulsive fanatic for the God who saved me and plan to continue exalting Gods word that is “Spirit and life to me
Very good point! Although, doesn’t John 3:16 say that God sent Jesus because of His love for us? In a way, isn’t the Salvation from our sins the ultimate showing of love? I do agree with you that dumbing down the message to “Christmas is about love” is an oversimplification of the Christmas message (which is really the gospel)!
Added to this great insight, is the lie that says God came to save men of goodwill??? There are no men of goodwill...we are all fallen. It is God's goodwill towards men in Christ!!!
I miss this old format Mike. Go back to posting this style of teaching sometime, I feel like I'm in the room with a pastor and not just watching a Podcaster
Hey Mike, i have a question about dispensationalism in the Bible. I know that the Mosaic law is not applicable to Christians today but does that include other parts of the Old Testament such as Proverbs? Do Christian’s today still need to abide by wisdom given in Proverbs or is that not as important because it was written under the law and gives wisdom for those under the law? Sorry for the random question
Mike’s basically saying that we must be for real in this life. In that vein, while I call myself a Christian, I know better than to think that I’m perfect, and I’ve resolved to worship and glorify Christ even if He casts me to hell. We have our own lives to live, but at the same time I can’t help wondering how things would be today overall if He hadn’t come when He did. That very thought has actually kept me sleepless due to the sheer evil of these times. May we all be prepared and resolute in Jesus’ Holy Name.
In case anyone finds this helpful or is interested in praying for our Christian ministries/leaders/shepherds/evangelists/apologists like Mike Winger: 16 prayer points you can pray for them: 1 You can pray that they will always have a good walk with God (that they will not forget their first love), that God will bless their daily private Bible reading and prayer life, and that they will have good sound doctrine. 2 You can pray that they will be full of the Holy Spirit and that God will bless their ministries so that many more people will come to faith in Jesus for God’s glory, and that they will feed God’s sheep and disciple them properly. 3 You can pray that they will be humble, that they will remember how many Christian leaders in the past have fallen, and that they will have a very healthy fear of the Lord. 4 You can pray that God will protect them and the ministry God has given them from: Pride Love of fame Love of money Desire for the approval of people rather than the approval of God Being worried about offending people Compromising God’s Word Sexual temptation Demonic attacks Persecution (from outside the Church and inside the Church) 5 You can pray for their PHYSICAL HEALTH and that God will heal all their health problems. 6 You can pray for their MENTAL HEALTH. Pastors and Christian workers often have stress and battle discouragement and depression. Please God touch them and heal them of all mental and emotional problems and distress. They can also sometimes be hurt by the people they serve or by other Christian leaders - so we can pray that this won’t happen but that if it does that God will heal these wounds and strengthen His servants to forgive each other and that God will restore unity for His Glory. 7 You can pray that God will bless and protect their families. Satan often attacks Christian workers by attacking their loved ones. So you can pray that their family members will all have a good walk with God, have good sound doctrine, that God will protect them all from demonic attacks, that God will also bless and protect their physical and mental health, heal them of all infirmities, and that God will bless all their family relationships so that there is peace and love in their families. You can pray that God especially blesses and protects all areas and parts of their marriages, so that they will not be tempted to look elsewhere. Also please God bless their marriages especially so that they can be a model and example for other Christians. 8 You can pray that God will abundantly bless and protect the finances of the ministries and also the personal finances of God’s servants (especially finances needed for health or medical expenses). You can pray that they always have abundant finances so that they can always do every good work God wants them to do. 9 You can pray that God blesses and protects the relationships between Christian co-workers in ministries - so that no jealousy or strife or bitterness takes root. That they will all have Christian unity and that their focus will be on God getting all the glory and rejoice in any and all work for God. 10 You can pray that God prevents any technical or logistical or legal or any type of problems for their ministry, but if they have any such issues/problems that God will help them resolve/fix and totally solve and remove these problems. 11 If it’s an internet (e.g. RUclips) ministry you can pray that God will help the videos spread on those platforms and get many views and that God will use the videos to bring many people to repentance and faith in Jesus. 12 You can pray that God will help Christian leaders be good shepherds of Jesus’ sheep and continue to feed Jesus’ sheep, and that they will not only convert people, but also disciple new converts so that they can grow and develop and mature in a healthy and supported way. 13 You can pray that God will give them the heart of a servant. 14 You can pray that God gives them wisdom and helps them and powerfully guides them when making all decisions and plans. 15 You can pray that if they make mistakes or sin that God will grant them humility and repentance and restore them. 16 You can pray that more Christians will pray consistently for Christian leaders/pastors/shepherds/workers/ministries. *********************** You could make a list of pastors/ministries you want to support and pray for them regularly. Jesus said: “ when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:6
14 more BIBLICAL prayer points for praying for the LOST: Jesus and Paul actually told us specifically what to pray for on several occasions: 1 “pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified” 2 Thessalonians 3:1 ------- 2 Jesus said we should pray for more labourers. "Then Jesus said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore PRAY earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”" Matthew 9:37-38 Jesus said: “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore PRAT earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." Luke 10:2 ------- 3 We can pray for more opportunities to share the Gospel, and for God to open more doors for effective work: "pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains." Colossians 4:3 “because a great door for effective work has opened to me” 1 Corinthians 16:9 ------------------------- 4 We can pray that God will give us all the right words to say. "Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel," Ephesians 6:19 ------- 5 We can pray that God will give all Christians the boldness to share the gospel. "Lord... grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness... And when they had prayed... they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness." Acts 4:29-31 ------------------------ 6 We can pray that Christians will speak boldly RELYING ON THE LORD: “they spent a long time there speaking boldly with reliance upon the Lord” Acts 14:3 ------------- 7 We can pray for God to draw more people to Jesus and to grant more people to come to Jesus. Jesus said: "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them" John 6:44 Jesus said: “No one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.” John 6:65 -------------------------- 8 We can pray that God will REVEAL the reality and truth about Jesus to more people. "Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not REVEALED to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in Heaven." Matthew 16:16-17 "At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and REVEALED them to little children." Matthew 11:25 --------------------------- 9 We can pray that God will teach more people. Jesus said: "It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him COMES TO ME." John 6:45 -------------------------- 10 We can pray that God will open more hearts to attend to His message. "The Lord opened her heart to attend to the things being spoken by Paul." Acts 16:14 ------------------------- 11 We can pray that God will open more eyes to see and open ears to hear so that they would turn to God and God would heal them. Jesus said: "I send thee (Paul), TO OPEN THEIR EYES, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." Acts 26:17-18 “while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand….. OTHERWISE THEY MIGHT SEE WITH THEIR EYES, HEAR WITH THEIR EARS, UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART, AND RETURN, AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.’ But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.” Matthew 13:13…16 “The hearing ear and the seeing eye, The Lord has made both of them.” Proverbs 20:12 “Yet to this day the Lord has not given you a heart to know, nor eyes to see, nor ears to hear.” Deuteronomy 29:4 ---------- 12 We can pray that God in his mercy and generosity will bring more prisoners out of spiritual dungeon into the freedom and light of Jesus Christ. “proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.” Luke 4:18 “a light to the nations, To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the dungeon And those who dwell in darkness from the prison.” Isaiah 42:7 ---------- 13 We can pray that God will grant more people repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth: “in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth” 2 Timothy 2:25 --------- 14 We can pray that new converts/disciples will find/be guided to/or have guided to them good Christian teachers who can help to disciple them correctly in the way, so that they can mature as God wants them to: just as God provided Philip to teach the Ethiopian so that the Ethiopian could understand what God wanted him to understand in Acts 8:26-40, or as God provided Priscilla and Aquila to teach Apollos in Acts 18:24-26 or as God provided Paul to some disciples in Ephesus who lacked knowledge in Acts 19:1-5 AND: We can rejoice, thank and praise God in our prayers for His Holy Spirit who guides all genuine new converts/disciples into all truth: “when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL THE TRUTH; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.” John 16:13-14 --------- 15 We can pray that we will have more of God's love in our hearts for the lost so that we will not be afraid to share the Gospel, but that God's love in us will override any fears and make it automatic that we share the gospel in love. If there was a frozen lake, you wouldn't want to go swimming in it. But if a small child fell in, you would automatically dive in to save them. We can pray for love that will cause us to act. ------------------------- "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." Colossians 4:2 Jesus told us multiple times throughout Scripture to watch and pray always.
"We can Pray For Love, that Causes us to Act," I Love that! It's Easiest to Spread The Gospel to Strangers, But to Family, I find it the hardest. I need to Pray on this. God Bless You, Thank You So Much, for the Scripture.

I grew up in the Church of Christ . We did not celebrate Christmas as the birthday of Christ. We did the tree, presents, and fellowship at home, but didn't single the day for celebrating our saviors birth as a church service. We celebrate that EVERYDAY ! It alienated our church from the regular denominations in.our area . We were called bad names for not making a big deal of Dec 25th. Looking back, maybe we should have made a bigger deal of it to aline ourselves more , but we feel its less than Christ deserves to make A DAY to celebrate. I wish we had aligned more with the festivities for one reason. That is to be among the others so it would have been easier to push the message that everyday is a celebration of his birth ! I say this in a past tense because the church closed down years ago . There are Churchs of Christ in other areas, but the one I grew up in didn't last . I still practice all I learned and continue to study. I dont need a building to keep my faith strong. Best wishes to all !
@@ironrupik Mathew 28:19-20......this is the scripture the church uses as a reference for baptism . There are scripture that says to just ask, and I dont doubt God's word on that. My thoughts are, since mathews 28 says to do so, I'm going to do so . I guess my question for you is, why not be baptized?
@@davidbilliter5619 I am not opposed to baptism, it is the first step of obedience after salvation. Any Christian that refuses to be baptized is a disobedient Christian...but it is a work, a physical action. We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, not of works, lest any man should boast.

Shame you didn't feel that way reading the Bible.

Hell is hell, sir, even if you don’t believe in it.
Hell is just separation from God. Your mother in law is already in hell.

That reminds me of Joel 2:13 that says "Rend your hearts and not your garments". That is so powerful to me.
Do you know what a blessing it is that God would change our hearts. I praise God that He has and is doing a work, that I CANT DO, in my heart! A lot of what is in our hearts we don't even know its in there. Thank you Jesus!!!
On point for current (predominantly western) culture.
Ie Seeking Jesus for what makes one happy rather than seeking Him for truth.
So good! I was the “Christian” he spoke about and then I became the true believer. When you know you know! I can’t get enough of Jesus. He is my everything. My whole being craves to be in His presence and to make Him happy and pleased in me. ❤
I was just trying to convey this idea yesterday on another post. You articulated it perfectly. It's one thing that bothers me about Christmas.
The analogy is on point! People think God serves us.
Everything you say is so incredible. Thank you. Great analogy.

I hope you realize that you don’t need to listen to certain types of music or be apart of a certain political party to be a Christian

@johnrimmontaquiso6018 I would like to share something to hopefully help you to stay on track with God. It isn't easy and takes work along with faith. (sorry so long, but I can't talk in just a few sentences)
Years....ago.
(no not being the best, no one is, but working towards it, God knows the intent of the Heart)
I know this is a lot. But I am sharing with you that reading your bible for yourself is the ammunition needed. It will take you to Fight back. Don't give up. And don't give in. And always remember God is fighting also for you. "He let's us fall to our knees so that we will look up"
He is waiting on you! God bless you and keep you. You will be fine.
I will pray for you. Is there any specific question or doubt?
This is s brilliant short. Excellent 👏👏👏

Good one Mike. I don’t know if I’m a fanatic… pretty sure I’m not fanatic enough.
Matthew 7:21-23
New American Standard Bible
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

14 Today you are driving me from the land,* and I will be hidden from your face; and I will become a wanderer and a fugitive on the earth, and anyone who finds me will certainly kill me.” 15 So Jehovah said to him: “For that reason, anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times.”
So Jehovah established a sign for Cain in order that no one finding him would strike him. 16 Then Cain went away from before Jehovah and took up residence in the land of Exile, to the east of Eʹden.
Genesis 4:24 If 7 times Cain is to be avenged,
Then Laʹmech 77 times.”
Matthew 18:21 Then Peter came and said to him: “Lord, how many times is my brother to sin against me and am I to forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him: “I say to you, not up to seven times, but up to 77 times.23 “That is why the Kingdom of the heavens may be likened to a king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves.

Love of fame
Love of money
Desire for the approval of people rather than the approval of God
Being worried about offending people
Compromising God’s Word
Sexual temptation
Demonic attacks
Persecution (from outside the Church and inside the Church)
5
You can pray for their PHYSICAL HEALTH and that God will heal all their health problems.
6
You can pray for their MENTAL HEALTH.
7
You can pray that God will bless and protect their families.
8
You can pray that God will abundantly bless and protect the finances of the ministries and also the personal finances of God’s servants (especially finances needed for health or medical expenses).
You can pray that they always have abundant finances so that they can always do every good work God wants them to do.
9
You can pray that God blesses and protects the relationships between Christian co-workers in ministries - so that no jealousy or strife or bitterness takes root. That they will all have Christian unity and that their focus will be on God getting all the glory and rejoice in any and all work for God.
10
You can pray that God prevents any technical or logistical or legal or any type of problems for their ministry, but if they have any such issues/problems that God will help them resolve/fix and totally solve and remove these problems.
11
If it’s an internet (e.g. RUclips) ministry you can pray that God will help the videos spread on those platforms and get many views and that God will use the videos to bring many people to repentance and faith in Jesus.
12
You can pray that God will help Christian leaders be good shepherds of Jesus’ sheep and continue to feed Jesus’ sheep, and that they will not only convert people, but also disciple new converts so that they can grow and develop and mature in a healthy and supported way.
13
You can pray that God will give them the heart of a servant.
14
You can pray that God gives them wisdom and helps them and powerfully guides them when making all decisions and plans.
15
You can pray that if they make mistakes or sin that God will grant them humility and repentance and restore them.
16
You can pray that more Christians will pray consistently for Christian leaders/pastors/shepherds/workers/ministries.
***********************
You could make a list of pastors/ministries you want to support and pray for them regularly.

We can pray that God will open more eyes to see and open ears to hear so that they would turn to God and God would heal them.

"I send thee (Paul), TO OPEN THEIR EYES, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me."
Acts 26:17-18

To open blind eyes,
To bring out prisoners from the dungeon
And those who dwell in darkness from the prison.”

We can pray that God will grant more people repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth:
“in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth”
2 Timothy 2:25
---------
14
We can pray that new converts/disciples will find/be guided to/or have guided to them good Christian teachers who can help to disciple them correctly in the way, so that they can mature as God wants them to:
just as God provided Philip to teach the Ethiopian so that the Ethiopian could understand what God wanted him to understand in Acts 8:26-40,
or as God provided Priscilla and Aquila to teach Apollos in Acts 18:24-26
or as God provided Paul to some disciples in Ephesus who lacked knowledge in Acts 19:1-5
AND:
We can rejoice, thank and praise God in our prayers for His Holy Spirit who guides all genuine new converts/disciples into all truth:
“when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL THE TRUTH; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.”
John 16:13-14

We can pray that we will have more of God's love in our hearts for the lost so that we will not be afraid to share the Gospel, but that God's love in us will override any fears and make it automatic that we share the gospel in love.
If there was a frozen lake, you wouldn't want to go swimming in it.
But if a small child fell in, you would automatically dive in to save them.
We can pray for love that will cause us to act.

"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful."
Colossians 4:2
Jesus told us multiple times throughout Scripture to watch and pray always.
Amen, and Amen! Thanks and Bless.
@@viviennejordan215 May God bless you and your loved ones abundantly!
"We can Pray For Love, that Causes us to Act," I Love that! It's Easiest to Spread The Gospel to Strangers, But to Family, I find it the hardest. I need to Pray on this. God Bless You, Thank You So Much, for the Scripture.
Some do Close for Christmas Day. They Have a Celebratory Service the week before. Don't Forget a lot of people visit their Families, in other parts of the country, or abroad. The Pastor and Family, Worship Team and other Church Members may do likewise. Check Online if any Churches near You are Open Christmas Day. I doubt many, would be open, for Christmas Day. You Can Always Watch Services Online, Catch Up on ones You missed. A Happy Christmas, to You and Your Family.
My problem with the Church of Christ as a denomination is the claim one must be baptized in order to be saved.
Good message. Great video ❤
This hit different.
Excellent!
This is so good. Very enlightening. Thanks again for another great video
Well said Mike.
This are older videos?? He looks so different 😂
Wow, what an amazing truth to miss!
