I just wanted to start a Photography based marketing company to help out some relatives, I picked up a Skylite bundle from Rotor Riot a few weeks ago and I don’t think a day has gone by without me watching some FPV content.
Now I'm really sorry I missed Rampage this year. Would have been cool to meet Potato Jet. I drool over the camera equipment and quads he gets to play with.
Its funny because im into cameras and learning and Gene was a channel i watched heavily. Once he started flying drones on his channel, I got into the hobby (again). Ever since being in the FPV world, Bardwell has been my favorite channel to watch. So i have the best of both worlds in one video.
Totally agree with Gene - bind n flys are the way to get started. The learning curve is steep enough and you learn so much just setting up a bind n fly. Learning to repair one thing at a time is so much easier than figuring out how to build everything (largely thanks to JB). There are so many people recommending to start with a full build and pick out all your own parts... I think that's a mistake for at least 90% of people.
LOVED the collab! Been a big fan of Potato for along time due to working in the video world, potato actually was a large inspiration for pulling the trigger on FPV and incorporating it into my videography bushiness. Great video.
"All the fame and money in FPV". Bwahahahahahahaha. FPV is an addictive hobby that takes all your money and gives you headaches in return. I LOVE IT!!!!!!
It's funny how they say it begins to take over your brain. I was passing by a mall over the weekend where a Sears closed down a year or so ago and thought it would be a good spot. The parking lot is pretty barren with barely enough cars to be an issue and there was a good number of trees and lights to fly around not to me. I don't know how often security patrols that end of the mall though. I've passed a few other office park spots that i look at a different way now.
