They’re gorgeous. I had the pleasure of feeding them in my backyard for a few years. The central Texas town of 90K I live in passed an ordinance against feeding wild animals so I stopped. (Lots of deer and other critters here.) There were only a few YT videos of Gray foxes. There are more now.
This video proves that gray foxes are truly the best Fox and they're so cute you're my favorite animal and gray foxes are definitely my favorite type of fox
For the last year or so, I've had a den of grey foxes living on my property. Their den is very close to my house. I see a grey fox almost every day. They usually appear in the late afternoon, and early evening. I love watching these guys!
Both Red and Grey foxes come to feed at my yard here in Maine and even with an Infrared camera, it is easy to tell the difference. The Greys I have only seen at night but the Reds do appear in the daytime as well.
the outro is soo cute!! i'm doing my undergrad thesis on the evolutionary genetics of grey foxes and this video made me even more excited about it haha 😀
Pretty interesting . Ive always loved foxes ...ive seen some beautiful ones on my moms property ...i could sit and watch them for hours...Grey foxes also like watermelon...
Great job! Would be nice to see video clips of what you are specifically talking about during your presentation (grey foxes climbing trees, etc). Foxes interacting with other animals? Cats? Your on the right track😊
I just saw three at the same time walk into my yard from the woods across the street and go behind my house into the woods. I didn't even know we had gray foxes here (East Tennessee). I had seen red foxes, but never gray....very cool. They reminded me of the coatimundi we saw in Mexico.
I had an entire den complete with adults and babies who had built a den underneath my travel trailer. . I Made it a point to be bear their den as possible with plenty of human activities without disturbing the den . So when they grew up , I fazed them out their ability to stay under my camper trailer were numbered . But I made the transition as easy as possible for them
Pretty nice video! It has good info and good explanations! May I give you a suggestion? You could make subtitles avaiable, for those hard of hearing or that have a hard time digesting info and such, it would be really helpful since youtube's subtitles are really bad. I'm happily waiting for new videos! 😸
Awesome info. Ive been telling people to do there research because on facebook certain people seem to think that red foxes are similar to Grey foxes but we know that they arent. I shared this video onto my facebook page so people will see and understand the differences. Thanks for affirming my knowledge of the species I already know.; awesome video.
We have a den of gray foxes living on our property. Two adults and 5 kits. I was wondering how to tell the difference in male vs female gray foxes….amount of red in the gray coat, the body size difference etc. Also do they mate for life and return to the same den location each year. This is the second year we’ve had a fox family living on our property and really enjoy watching the kits playing in the yard and on our porch. We do not feed them so they can learn their life skills naturally.
I have SO many Questions! I've been observing the generations of Gray Foxes that inhabit my backyard and surrounding forest area for years now. They LOVE Peanuts btw. I know it's crazy, but have witnessed them do Spectacular things! Great vid and hope to learn even more about these truly unique breed of Fox.
Wow, I just witnessed two grey foxes in my neighbors yard and she leaves peanuts out for the birds every morning! I wonder if she realizes the foxes love them too!!
@@sarahkreuzer8259 She may not, but Gray Foxes really do love Peanuts. If you buy a bag of Unsalted Roasted peanuts for $5 at the supermarket, you'll definitely see foxes at night if those peanuts are still in the yard.
Nice vid and great info! Maybe you know this but not all juveniles disperse after a year, females may stay behind with their mothers if another litter is coming
This retractable claws thing is something u just read someplace….it is very rare to see a red fox in a tree too……they are excellent jumpers but dont have the wrists the turn like a grey fox which is how it can climb so easily
What do y'all think about gray foxes?
I see them sometimes at night here in TX. They aren't easily spooked by cars, and they're really cute!

Is amazing but I have a question what are the adaptations of the gray fox?
Cool vid. I have a grey red mix. Shes got the cat like claws and round pupils like a grey. But she has a white tip tail and looks mostly red.

I also have grey foxes around me. I witnessed a grey fox climb 25 feet up a tree right in front of me. Nearly as fast as any squirrel!
@@GavinWard-yl4zi Cool! I've never seen one climb a tree, though I know that they can.
The internet is amazing. Anything I want to learn about I type it in and the wonderful people of the world are prepared to share a teach. Thank you
Haaa kitty took over at the end

I just ran into a mama fox with her kits. She made funny noises and the kits ran to her. I turned back so as not to bother them.

Yes! Nanny foxes.

I has a Grey

i feed the gray foxes sunflower seeds...same as the birds...hope this is ok
Look at the leg color of the fox u are seeing…a red fox has black socks while a grey fox will not
Looks like a cross between a cat a d a coyote.
:)
Boring!! I would be more impressed with his knowledge of over eating!!
That is not boring it's educational and very interesting
Also that's very rude of you to say that at the end
