      I feel like the crowd that is fighting for things like "theybies" rights are entirely separate from the people who fought against female stereotypes decades ago.
      To a person with relatively conservative views, there seems to be a politically correct way of thinking that unites the liberal activists. Well, all I see are groups of people with contradicting goals that claim to be supporting each other on occasion.

      I think people have confused sexuality and gender. I truly believe sexuality is fluid. I have no issue with Trans individuals, but 27 genders is ridiculous. When I was young I remember wanting to be a girl because I felt whenever little girls were around they got more attention than me, but if my parents went along with it I guarantee I'd be really screwed up and confused right now, because I know im meant to be a man.

    • @charliewegner
      @charliewegner 4 года назад +181

      I wish my parents had let me wear boy clothes. My mom insisted on me wearing cute clothes until she became tired of arguing with me, which was at about age 15. She still sneered at me/ridiculed me if I wore boy gym shorts or other masculine things. She was fine with t shirts and shorts, so that become my wardrobe. I’m 20 now and she is a lot more chill about it.

      My mom was kinda like that but the moment she learned about the transexual concept she questioned me everyday since I was 13 because I cut off all my hair and wore "masculine" clothes. She even threw away all my "boys" things and bought me makeup and dresses. I just thought I looked kinda cute bruh. Let kids be kids.

    • @Nautiko69
      @Nautiko69 3 года назад +11

      When I was a kid I was an extreme tomboy, I wore boy clothes and even wanted boys underwear because it had batman on it (which is actually true they were boxer shorts). But THANK GOD i grew up hating my body and not knowing exactly why until I was around 15, that my parents assumed I was just a girl and when I came out as trans to them they dead named/mispronouned me and made me feel like shit when I corrected them, that they'll never see me as their son and have disowned and replaced me with 2 new babies.
      What children need aren't parents who believe in a strict gender system created to set a "norm" in society. Instead they need parents who accept them and go with the flow when its in regards to their gender and sexual identification. What children need are parents who say "Okay" when their child, no matter the age, tells them they're a certain gender. Because even if you start off by saying "no you're a *insert sex*", especially at a young age, it just instills those toxic beliefs that gender and sex are the same thing when they're not.
      These kids may grow up to be nonbinary or they may not. What does it matter of they grow up understanding to accept and love people regardless of what they identify as.

    • @zoej1844

      Space Boi
      Dude, I never said I don’t support transgender people. I just don’t support adults pushing labels onto impressionable children. The point of my post was to show that children can like stereotypical “masculine” or “feminine” things at a young age and not be trans and adults shouldn’t entertain the idea that they could be because it could seriously mess them up. When the kid becomes older and starts becoming a teenager and young adult, that’s when they should be taken more seriously. But for many kids, it’s just them being themselves!

      A child being transgender is about so much more than just wearing dresses or playing with dolls. It's about feeling deeply uncomfortable in your body. It's about it feeling wrong when people refer to you as a boy when you feel that you are a girl or vice versa. Psychologists and parents of transgender children completely account for the fact that there will always be boys who like girly things and girls like boyish things and that those children are not actually transgender. The American Academy of Pediatrics go into depth about this in their guide for caring for transgender children, which you can find here: www.aap.org/en-us/Documents/solgbt_resource_transgenderchildren.pdf
      Also, it needs to be said that absolutely no one is giving kids hormones or surgeries. The whole point of puberty blockers is that it prevents transgender children from going through the wrong puberty, and give some time to decide whether they really are trans. No one is pushing them into it. If you want a good video about that subject by an actual doctor this one is good: ruclips.net/video/rzbtSeVZeEE/видео.html
      I wish with every fiber of my being I could go back in time and have puberty blockers and not have gone through male puberty.It's absolutely horrible.Please don't be misled into thinking that this is about dolls or dresses. Transgender teens that are allowed access to puberty blockers and later transition have been repeatedly shown to have much better mental health, while those who are not allowed that show higher rates of suicide and depression.This is literally a life-or-death issue for some transgender children.

      @@ladyvoldything What you don’t seem to get and seem to want to be offended by is that kids are constant and changing and it is much harder to for them to know who they truly want to be. All the person is saying is stop being so quick to label kids how you want, some times a kid just wants to play with a trunk because their siblings has it (no gender confusion at all). A kid still understands very little about the world and making life change decisions at that age for them is one of the worst things you could as a parent. A kids decision making skill is horrible they don’t t really think long term. Let them make this decision when they are much older like 17 or 18. Just accept them for who they are, if your son wants to wear a dress let him, he want to be called she fine. However don’t let them make a life altering decision that young, because if they are old enough to make that kind of decision than they are old enough to be treated like an adult in every other way. Became you know quite a few kids who had surgery at a young age transitioned back later own right, but that kind of change can’t be fully undone and that’s the parents fault because they let a little kids make these huge decisions.

    • @Brendawallingbear
      @Brendawallingbear 3 года назад

      @@shayla106 I'm not aware of any kids who were given gender surgery unless they were born intersex. And they used to do that surgery before the child was old enough to be included in the decision. Many of these children grew up to be adults who disagreed with the gender that was assigned to them.
      Another thing that happened in past generations was torturous gender therapy. When I was 4 and told that I had to be a girl, I was really upset, I didn't believe it. I knew I was a boy, and if my body wasn't a boy body, it was the mistake. My Native American relatives would have raised me to learn both gender roles' skills; but the white side of my family was against that. I was hooked up and they put electricity in my brain. I remember that, it was torture. I was shocked to realize how mean people can be, how hurtful. I was not allowed to go outside to play and run around with the boys.
      Later, I was given " play therapy" in a pink room with a plastic kitchenette, a crib and babydoll that pees. I did take care of feeding and diapering the baby, and I took the broom and ran around the room. I was also hypnotized several times. When I was 9 and refused the hypnosis, he returned at 3:45 am and sat me up in bed and hypnotized me against my will while I was vulnerable because of being half asleep.
      This messed with my Life. It was truly child abuse. Took me a long time to deal with it.

I was a child and it was just a dumb thing I found interest in but it wasn't anything serious. It all started because I'm a tomboy and have always been one and one summer we had a lice problem in the house and my sister and I had our hair shaved off to make it easier to manage. When I went back to school I obviously dressed like a boy because I was a tomboy and my hair was short as well so lots of my classmates mistook me for a boy and I thought it was fun to be seen as a boy so I created a persona. It was all fun and games to me. I feel like too many people mistake children's fun and games for serious adult like things. Just because a boy likes pink it doesn't make him a girl. Just because a girl likes trucks it doesn't make her a boy. Just because I was happy to be called a boy back then doesn't mean I was born in the wrong body. I was a child and children are dumb and shouldn't be able to make life changing decisions such as this.

    Here’s a peculiar question. Why does the incidence of LGBT in children increase with LGBT parents? It’s even many factors above straight parents, you could argue “oh well the kid can hide it”, possibly, but that’s still the minority. The gist is that these children are being pushed into these lifestyles, it’s always interference from the parents, id love to see an experiment where a group of children are raised with straight parents, and a group of gay parents, with zero pressure or bias onto the child and seeing where it goes
