I had success with the yellow pad! Going to your wool pad. I have it now ready for the spring. I also have the red jewel pad and been using the gold standard polish. Very easy to use no taping no sling. Shows decades of experience.
Took your advice from this video; I had tried a myriad of different company's products, but like Yvan said, find one line of products that work together and stick with it! I've been pleased with the results from several of the DIY Detail products...the tire shine and Rinseless Wash are my favorite go-to items! The battery on that polisher being on the body instead of under the handle is frickin genius. Better weight distribution and less chance of hitting the vehicle with it.

Gotta say, what a dramatic turnaround!!! 👍🏼👍🏼 But like you said, there’s still scratches in the car and you weren’t going for a show car finish. The lighting you all use could be a lot better, though. With that said, the gloss and shine was heavily increased and the major scratches were very noticeable reduced. Bravo!

Most of the time, those are not scratches, but transfer from finger nails. A MF towel with either DIY Detail Tree Sap Remover or DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish is all you need. If you want to do it with a machine, 6 inch Jeweling pad is my method of choice. In this video I polished behind the door handles
Great video. I just did my first DA Polish today on my black 2012 Toyota Camry. I brought the Gloss back, but didn't get some of the swirls and scratches out. I used Meguiar's Ultimate Cut Compound and their Ultimate Polish. I used a Medium and a Soft Foam pad. So slightly unrelated question: is lactic acid, water, and fragrance/stabilizers the only ingredients in diy wsr? I’m sure you’ve seen some of the comments on it leaving behind a slightly more hydrophobic surface. Impressive polishing work btw.
Do you have a suggestion for removing bee feces? My truck gets covered all spring and summer and it is so hard to get it off. Part of the issue may be that it almost gets baked on the black paint while the truck is sitting in the sun while I'm working on my bee. I've tried several different bug and tar removers and APCs and they don't work as good as I'd like. Most of the time it requires manual removal to get it off, usually a razor blade.

Does all clean diluted 15:1 remove or damage ceramic gloss in any way? Because i noticed if i apply all clean to a ceramic glossed wheel that been coated for 1 week the water beading disappears immediately after rinsing off the all clean. this is not the case with the diy 8year coating that stuff always beads no matter what I throw at it!
DIY Detail All Clean will temporarily scar the surface of DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss. If your wheels have DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss on them and you wash at least monthly, you don’t need DIY Detail All Clean to clean them.
My car was wet sanded last week for free as the new paint job left much orange peel. The paint is much flatter now but has surface scratches still from the sanding. Can I go back and use a polish like Sonax with my Meguiars DA and polish the car? Just want to make sure I don't damage the paint.

Use a 14 inch gallon paint tray it’s dark green I believe at Home Depot. It has ribs and it works the pad really well. Get a 5 gallon bucket for the spin out. Use rinseless in a pump sprayer with some all clean every other clean out. I use it three time so far with great results. Waiting for their pad washer to come out though.

Many polishes , compounds leave white marks on ruber seals ( probably easy removable) and white marks on black plastics, hard removable ( pencil rubber can works) Prewax cleansers,polishes are safe. And DIY G.Standard. I dont know why dont made all that polishes safe for trims. But its good mask edges with heavier, heavy compounds. Not only trims.

PSA! Unsure of Vehicle Year? There is a chart that you can research online that correlates the 10th letter digit from the VIN numbers in North America to correlate with the model year!
Why not use an inspection light to see the actual defects before and after? The shop light wasn't enough to judge well in my opinion. Is the final result good enough for the owner? Probably, but use proper lightning so we can properly gauge the end result, otherwise you're overselling this method.

Some paints are softer, and may require a little more refinement.

a 15 will do anything you want.
25mm will give you better cut and finish, and is smoother.

There are a few more. Lactic acid by itself will temporarily increase hydrophobics, but it’s a very temporary reaction

That’s a short stroke tool, I would suggest the wool pad, DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish, and a bit of patience

Compressed air. Those pad brushes ruin the pad even though you may not notice it right away.

A damp pad cools the pad, provides lubrication across the pad, and increases cut and finish.
