The circle attachment is great. Also get the plastic base so you can screw it onto a board and have the carvex upside down a bit like a bandsaw/scroll saw. Next the angle base is great for angle mitre like type cuts. Takes a bit of handling but works well. The other bases are neither here nor there. You can simply put tape on the base to stop scratches so no need for the extra bases. Get a Collins coping foot for the carvex if you do baseboard scribing. I love the ease of changing bases. Hate the blade adjustment with a stupid Allen key, very annoying.
I love this accessory set. What you have to remember is when you use the compass, you need the thick gold Carvex Festool blades. I tried with other blades with the same teeth but they don’t work as they aren’t thick enough. Nice video as usual mate . 👍🏻
the accessories are cool, the angle unit is definitely useful and one of the few in the market that doesn't move during usage. However it is lacking something that I am surprised it was "not"thought through more, and is that it has no dust extraction as well😅
Can you help me understand how to scribe using the angle base? Usually you will want a back angle when scribing a shelf so that you can easily sand or file to your line for a perfect fit. If you angle the blade inward the pad of the base that is hanging off the edge will get in the way unless your scribe line is very close to the edge.....
I get what you mean mate. If you do a lot of scribing, in your job try the Collins coping foot. It takes some practice but you can cut a back angle easily once you get the hang of it. I’ve got one for my Carvex, it’s great. 👍🏻
All I’ll need for my triton 110v is a Collins coping foot…..not even made by festool. It sits next to the kapex for scribe cuts. This fanboy accessory set is just for the fanboys I think.
Excellent and very informative! Thank you. Convinced me to go out and buy myself the saw and kit because of this video.
Glad I could help!

To be honest with you, I very rarely use the dust extraction on the jigsaw but it’s nice that it’s there if you need it
Also it doesn’t have any markings so you need another tool to determine what angle you actually setting to
👍🙏👍 Thanks 4 video.
Welcome 👍
