X68000 was the console with all the badass music that only Japan was able to have gotten. One of my favorite reasons RUclips exist. While everyone watches cat vids, I turn on some good old J-style chiptune music while doing some programming. Nothing fits the mood better.
@pyr0m I want to take a moment to mention stage 1 sounds a lot like the chorus in "last moments" from a touhou cover band, roughly a minute in. look it up and hear for yourself!
I see that this now has a licensed released on Deezer, etc., but I'm a bit suspicious... Who is Yusup Dalmaz? Looking at his Deezer page, I somehow get the feeling he isn't the composer (just going by the fact that there's a PINGAS meme album). Very weird.
@@ydlmzSound Can you provide any information about who "Digital Project" is? No offense, but I can't find any proof that you actually worked on this game... Thanks for the help.

I don't believe a single word they're saying tbh. I had written up several posts with abunch of links to their claims & past shenanigans as well as manual scans with credits from games they claim to have worked on since afew days ago, but YT refused to let them through 😕 On the internet archive, under "Cyberblock Metal Orange EX Scans", on page 19 of the pdf (apparently linking to stuff might get my message removed, sorry for these descriptions), you can see the credits for this game as they were documented back in 1992, and "Yusup Dalmaz" doesn't appear there. It's clear to me that they're yet another malicious copyright actor, registering something they do not own as their content to profit from it. Shameful…
Man, this is a beast of a soundtrack!! Especially for what looks to be a fan service puzzle game
Also I'm an idiot. I didn't see this was Hitoshi Sakimoto. NO FUCKING WONDER IT'S SO GOOD.
erichwk Same went for me...Sakimoto FOR THE FUCKING WIN!
erichwk It really is incredible. There are tons of hidden gems like this from the X68000 and PC-98 era!
lol thats exactly what it is a fanservice puzzle game
A lot of fantastic videogame composers began their careers on obscure eroges for japanese PCs in the 80s & 90s
Iwata and Furukawa also composers on this. Great stuff

23:25 still blows me away
Best Stage 1 theme, in the history of block breakers.

sounds like doom before doom
It sounds more like racing game music than brick breaker music.
One of the best FM OST's I've ever heard but holy god putting ads all throughout this video completely ruins it.
get brave browser, m9. no pootube ads.
This is great, but I definitely prefer the PC-98 soundchip version.
31:24 This would fit Midnight Resistance on Mega Drive or Verytex
Yeah, instantly thought of "Ruined Area" from their later Verytex. Masterful stuff all around!
34:13
Stage 4 music = best music.
16:47 awesome

Just came across this randomly while listening to old game music. Jesus Christ this goes hard for just some random old fanservice game.
完璧面白😊
