I had an early Citizen back around the late 90s, it was interesting because it came out of the sleeper cab of an 18-wheeler.
It was of course dual voltage and dual inputs.
When it comes to Cosmetics the gray TV would be more desirable but less desirable when it comes to inputs.
I always found the TVs with the VCR on the top were interesting, I've only ever seen maybe 4-5 of them, I remember one in school in the mid-90s and then seeing a few of them at Royal Banks.

it's funny that these are so sought after because these were always my least favorite. I've found they're always this bubbly black or silver plastic. my neighbor recently threw out a perfectly functioning one and its mine now, but I'd never pay anything for one unless it was from the 1980s or very early 90's excellent video!

I'm just such a sucker for TV/VCR combo units. Especially the ones around 13 inches. Thanks for making this video.

I got a white Panasonic one a few months back on Facebook marketplace just as an impulse buy.
Now it's become an integral part of my retro gaming setup, (with the added novelty of being able to watch old VHS films) These are just really fun to have.

Thank god my stepfather already have a crt tv I was using it for 3 weeks as my second monitor replacement sense my second monitor broke from the fall, But overall it’s great for retro style pixel games like “Freedom Planet 1 & 2” for example and maybe i may use it as my third monitor once i actually buy it, While using the crt tv it’s feels good to use

Nice video! I've had a couple CRT TVs from before back in the day when I was younger, but I never had one though with a built-in VCR or DVD player even though it would have been really nice to have one.

So i collect CRTs, mostly pre-2000. I hadn't thought much about these (mostly because the couple i had found previous were all broken and missing the remote) but then i finally got one that worked perfectly and found they're PERFECT for reviewing VHS camcorder footage.
They're not good for selling, none of this stuff actually is if you want to sell things. Been there done that and never wasting my time on it again. But they're fantastic to have and you want to watch tapes (and you should)
Word to the wise, those video inputs WILL require the remote.

I would not suggest these wet cleaning tapes. It can easily damage the video head. If someone puts too much fluid in it, it can make its way into the rotary transformer, and the glue that holds the windings in place does not like water and solvents at all, it can come loose a few years after it once became wet (bearings also aren't a fan of a bath). I would only clean a VCR by disassembing it and cleaning the head drum and the tape path manually. These cleaning tapes, wet or dry, only clean the head drum and the audio/control and erase head, and has minimal to zero cleaning effect on the tape guides, capstan shaft and pinch roller.
Some issues with these combo units:
These combos are usually a PITA to have good access to the tape path for a manual cleaning, so I too would probably use a cleaning tape in these, despite I despise cleaning tapes. But only ever use the dry ones, and only from reputable brands. DO NOT USE a wet cleaning tape dry, only use cleaing tape that is designed to be used dry.
I would not suggest using these units as a VCR for anyone who wants to use them regularly. Only for casual VHS playback. But there's a big issue with these later models: the tape transport is completely open, so a lot of the dust the high voltage attracts into the set ends up on the tape transport, and they also become dusty just from sitting, because of the vent holes on the top of the set. Standalone VCRs either has no vents at all (later models), or only has vents around the power supply, so the tape transport gets zero to minimal amount of dust. Earlier combo units had the VHS transport in a mostly closed metal shielding. Now those are really an extreme PITA to clean or repair, you have to disassemble the whole unit to get to the VCR part, but at least the tape transport won't be full of dust.
Hint: always keep these later ones covered with a blanket when they are not it use, to protect them from accumulating dust. If you like the look of it, want to use it as a display piece and don't want to hide it, cover at least the vents on the top. *But never ever forget to uncover it when you use it!!!* Attach a string or a narrow fabric band to the covering blanket that hangs in front of the middle of the screen, that will remind you it has the cover on.
If you don't want to use these as a VCR, don't get these combo units. Especially these later ones are usually designed as such if the VCR malfunctions, you can't use the TV part either, because it switches off. If the belt / control motor clutch breaks or the mode switch gets oxidized in the VCR part, the whole unit is unusable until you fix the VCR part.
These combos, especially later models with the mostly / completely open tape trasport have an issue of buzzing in the audio, because the audio head picks up the stray magnetic field of the deflection yoke. You can experience this effect even with a standalone VCR, if you put a small TV right on the top of it, or right under it. You can't do much against this with a combo unit (you can put the standalone VCR further away from the TV to prevent this - if you want to use them side-by-side, always put the VCR on the left side of the TV, because the gap of the audio head is facing towards left, and you want to face it away from the TV). The manufacturers tried to minimize this effect by making the already bad audio quality of a mono VHS even worse: they set the low freqency rolloff to around 150-200Hz, so the 50/60Hz buzz from the vertical deflection is less audible...

I just picked up 3 CRT Tvs. One Emerson Tv for combo model number VCT120 it's both AC and DC. Never seen one that way. It also has a bunch of dip type switches on the front with scroll wheels and triangular tip screw knobs. The other is a Philips model PR0930X301 that's a 2001 model works great colors good. Then the last one is Quasar TT5947WC From 1988 still works great. I'm debating on restoring them then looking for vintage gamers who may need an old CRT Tv.

I have one made by Admiral. It works really well, only downside is it is mono and only has one speaker so audio splitters have no effect. It does have a headphone jack so in theory you should get stereo sound using headphones.

Got a Memorex little 9 inch combo and its fantastic other than the incredibly loud whirring from the vcr. I'm of course familiar with how noisy some units could be but this one is pretty obnoxious. Of course it's fine though since it still works and treats the tapes well. No problem with audio since it has a headphone jack.

Why do the TV VCR combos have such limited inputs and only have mono? My TV-DVD player combo has two composite inputs, one composite output, a component input and a spot on the case to mount an S-Video port along with its wiring and circuit board thing. Too bad this model didn't have the full s-video port, though it had so much other stuff as well and is all I really need technically. Obviously my TV also has a thing to plug a cable or antenna into and an analog tuner built-in. It also has a thing on the case to mount an antenna.

I have that same Panasonic one! Love that thing so much! The TV works perfectly. But the VCR has problems. It has snow. I actually managed to find VCR cleaner from Best Buy! Because it is saying it needs to be cleaned. But I tried many times but it's still stuck in that condition! It has been in that condition for 2 years now! Any advice on how to fix it? Because I don't want to just replace it. I have had it since 2015 when I was 8

Likely you have some capacitors that are failing; best to replace the tv with another one or find a local tech who can swap the capacitors.
