I see Miovski is leaving Aberdeen for £6.8m. That is fantastic business from them. For me, it just highlights the incompetence at Rangers over these last several years though. We had so many assets and made nothing on most of them because we just would not sell. Morelos is one that certainly should have been sold but we kept him too long. Aberdeen and Celtic will sell their best players at the drop of a hat for the right price. Rangers must improve their player trading model.
Morelos, kent, barsic, and kamara all had large bids made and all the bids were rejected by the board. 3 of those players left for nothing, and i think kamara left for 2m-3m. So instead of making upwards of 50m pounds in transfers, we made 2-3m. Absolutely shambolic from the board to say the least
The main culprit to the own goal was Souter who was never going to get anything but a glance on the ball instead of turning and dealing with what was behind him . A younger Balogun should be a priority
What I really liked about propper is he looks very composed with and without the ball and it'd the little things like normally we would head the ball straight out for a throw but he was finding yilmaz and others from thos positions and we were able to then build another attack instead of having to defend another long throw love defenders that aren't afraid to try the harder stuff it's too easy for most just to head it the way they're facing
Looking forward to seeing Nsiala coming in and contributing to the back 4... one more experienced defender also needed. But not the first priority... experienced quality midfielder first!!!
I think clements going to ride or die with tav at this point, it seems his mind is made up. Tav will start every single game and will be our 1st choice right back. Its a decision i think will most likely cost clement his job in the long run. But we'll see

I’m not sure how much attention you paid to the match but Tavernier and Barron interchanging was one of the most positive aspects of the entire game. Those two work well together. It is something we need to build this team around - Tavernier, Barron, and Cerny on the right side.

Feels to me like Souttar is trying too hard to show he has a higher level in him and thats why we see him so far up the pitch and getting caught under a ball trying to be involved as much as he can on the ball. Im pretty sure in his Hearts career he was man for man and involved in plenty 10 men behind the ball scenarios. I think he needs time to show he can improve and he might just do that with players the likes of Propper coming through the door to keep him sharper.

There are games against European opponents and Celtic within the next few weeks and it is vitally important that we do well. If results and performances go south, the pressure on Phil will crank right up. Remember, Celtic are going for 55 this season and the chance to become the most successful team in Scottish football history. The Rangers fans won’t sit back and accept that. Not unless they are a bunch of happy clappers content to finish second best.

It looks like Philly wants to play a very aggressive, fitness based game. Smother teams and overwhelm them as early as possible. This is all fine n dandy BUT we dont score enough or keep clean sheets. Sima, a CM, an RB and a CB would be a happy end to August for me. Even 3 out of the 4 with a CB or RB coming in January. Scott Wright is too static. Very similiar to Hagi on the wing.
Let's be brutally honest - we are miles behind Celtic. The "squad overhaul" we have been needing for 3 summers in a row now is not coming. It will be a cheaply assembled squad so we can make a profit this year and the board look to get out next summer. The season is a write off once again before a ball has been kicked. Celtic have not even bothered signing anyone and don't need to. It is pathetic. Some fans claimed a draw at Tynecastle was somehow a good result, they got battered at the weekend and we really struggled at "home" to Motherwell. This is going to be a very long and tough season again, as we watch our team fall further and further behind Celtic each month.
Rangers will never win the league and will continue to lose so many cheap goals with Tavernier starting in this team, and as captain… Jogging back when the other team is countering and not even bothering to try and stop a cross is totally unacceptable as a defender first and foremost… Celtic Park, with him and then add in Souttar starting both on the right of defence could be disastrous… Also put Cerny on free kicks…
ypu guys are missing the point you are on the defence case re sutter and co make mistakes because they are contiually covering for Tav time to move tav to the bench or half back and sterling in tavs spot
Ridvan's talent is being wasted at LB. He's creative and should be given a chance in midfield. A few players are in positions that don't exploit their natural ability.

Think its important to remember mcausland is just a pup aswell and having Cerny should bring his game on aswell.
