I remember coming back from race meetings, after watching Mick and Barry Ditchburn, my hero's back in those days and my ears ringing for hours aferwards, those where the days!
So sik!! Reminds me of the sound my old bombardier 600 triple made. I am all about the environment these days ,but damn these things still pull at my heart strings!!
I love how serious Nigel is haha. You can just tell he's listening to the engine so intently- trying to keep the revs just perfect. I bet he builds a mean engine :)
Hearing this bike rev is terrifying, riding one must be the scariest thing in the world. Look at the guys face as he revs it up, no joking around, not even a smile. A rider that disrespects this much power will pay the price. That being said, I still want to ride one.
Never road a KR750 but back in the day when I worked at a Kawasaki dealer a guy there had an H2 750 with pipes, carbs, and ported cylinders. It was trick. I road it one time and I got over it. The whole time I was on it I knew it was thinking of how bad it would like to hurt me.
I had one...I had raced motocross throughout my youth and eventually earned my AMA Expert License in 125cc and 250cc motocross...my Sr. year in H.S. I had hung up the racing boots and was working and in '74 I bought a like new '72 H2-750. I put on Clip-ons, expansion chambers, 36mm Mikuni's and had the man who did all my port work on my motocross bikes (who happened to be my Dad the Engineer) give her a port job and added a 2 teeth bigger rear sprocket...she would burn the tire in 1st gear with the throttle and would pull wheelies at 100 MPH...it was like having a prepped YZ-250 but on the pavement with double the speed...I had a blast with that scooter. BTW I used to run mine most of the time without silencers (Open chambers), and my GF used to say she could hear me coming from over 2 miles away....it was LOUD....and the cops in my town hated me...lol...I have some good stories.
Probably would sell for $500,000 today. super super rare. Lots of NSR500s and YZR500s and RGV500s, but there ain't even a handful of these monsters left in the word today
Now funnily enough, i was at the start line when the bikes left, and i remember hearing this almighty racket - i got the camera out, and would you believe it - a green Kawasaki stroker - i was about 10 feet away when that thing started!
nigel was his mechanic mick lived in lepton in hudersfieldi thought he was better than sheene as he didnt race in isle of man mick won british super bike and sighned a few pics for me top man needless to say i had kawasakis ,250,500, 900,zx9r

Ha, I was going to say something similar, my brother came home from college with an '72 H2-750. I took for a ride and almost pssed myself.

2 stroke never dies
Thank you for making cool!!
From employees of Kawasaki Japan.
Best sounding two stroke for me 👌
I had forgot how great that sounded.
I remember seeing this bike race back in the day iconic
What a beautiful beast. It would be fun to watch Jonathan Rea take this weapon out for some demo laps!
I saw the H2R's of Duhamel and Bowman at Daytona back in the day, they sounded so good back shifting into turn one with unmuffeled expansion chambers!

@0:42 using an oil pump and not premix? I used to hate it when my H2 would lean out.
This would blow a h2 away
No shit, I was referring to the oil injection pump at 0:42. Anyone knows a pure race bike runs pre mixed fuel, dumbass.
These bikes were total animals rider safety wasn’t even thought of then speed and power was the only thing that counted.
Is that Nigel who had very long blond hair?
presumably there's no way the thing will tick over!
Those were bikes for MEN
Jesus Christ listen to that!!! The gp bikes were total animals in those days
Have I died and gone to heaven????....
Noisy bastard, yeah the throttle does work......
Positively EVIL ! : )
Too scared to ride it obviously .
うるさい!
