Today all the Rtses are scrapped sadly to know that and then me hearing 5240 was the last to do service today and what not.... then it gets pulled from service being the last Rts to be in the city. Man oh man these Rtses will never be forgotten and will always be in my heart as I grew up with these thank God I rode them one last time yesterday and saw 5171 on the B41 to before it got pulled of from the B41.
Vids were taken throughout 2018 till 2019.
I had more Rts clips but my Google drive wouldn't let me redownload for some reason but these vids I got too.
Also Those last 3 vid were taken yesterday doing there last run.
And yes they are all scattered vids on all scattered routes.
Oh no... days before the High School Spring Break, I could ride these RTS after school, the B9 school days trip by Ulmer Park. When there is an XD40 and an RTS, I always choose RTS, and I sit in the front of the bus. The special view as a passenger, you know... And now it is impossible to ride an RTS after school. I'll miss them, forever...
Indeed
@@antoniojmonetti They retired beforehand
I’ve been riding these buses for practically my whole life. Not every ride was a pleasant one I admit, but they got the job done every single time. I’m sure gonna miss them.
These were real busses, now we are stuck with low floors!
Yes.

these are one of my favorite NYC busses. So sad that they were scrapped bc they were the busses that I rode when I was four. So many memories go through my mind when I see these busses.
Yeah they could have lasted a little longer, but people were complaining about them because they weren’t the buses that supported chargers etc. so they sadly had to go, I love these buses a lot and I’m still sad they are gone.
Imma Miss My Greatest Childhood bus. Rest in Peace RTS and thx for 38 Years in Service
Rest In Peace 🙏. Man You Were like the best bus in The MTA.
Those are a thing of beauty
I grew riding this bus when I was little. I do miss the rts buses.
R.i.p to these amazing Rtses
They will be missed, and not forgotten. However, if you wanted to own one, they have lots of them for sale.
Oh yea for sure I might get one in the near future
I will soon as well.
DAMN! 5 years already??? Smh!!!
Yep lol. The year goes by fast.
@@transportationnetwork1324 I couldn't imagine if I lived last 5 year at NYC without those Legends along with R32s. I couldn't. Now Orions are disappearing.
I wish they have technology to remake the RTS but Dame with out the RTS being retired MTA won't be the same again
They cant and yea
@@transportationnetwork1324 they need to

I also wrote an article commemorating these beautiful buses on Medium, check it out at medium,com/@chris6d. I will surely miss seeing these pass my house every day. RIP
Ahhh yes
Not all of the RTS's are scrapped
Yes they are. There are Rtses that is in the museum and that is converted into a metro card bus and police unit but that's it.
@@transportationnetwork1324 that is like wasting money when scrapping buses
@@aaronsamuel2823 nahh it's no waste in money LOL.
I don't know why MTA scrapped the Nova buses there's no reason for them to do that. They could just send them to the museum and that's it.
They are in the museum
@@transportationnetwork1324 thanks that's GTK
@@transportationnetwork1324 not all of them are scrapped right since they're in the museum?
@@transportationnetwork1324 does it have like a history on it if when it was built when it used to run what happened to it you know something like that
@@aaronsamuel2823 the older models had bit of problems but it wasnt that bad.
