Really appreciate the review and insights from this particular trade. I'm just confused with how you determined that the bias was bearish. I got that they drove price higher to take out buyside liquidity. You saw SMT with the DOW, (but ICT himself said SMT is much better if it's happening with NAS & ES). And then it was kind of "relatively" equal lows and smart money would take out sellside. I feel like I'm missing something or some concepts.
Soo.... once we figure out the DOL then any move above an old high or low we want to consider that a sweep and to go either higher or lower to the DOL. Can we also use lower timframe confirmation. So a lower time-frame CISD to confirm the TS ?
Hey Dan, appreciate your content. I entered a Turtle Soup this morning and was stopped out......and then price went where I thought it would go. Could you provide some insight into how big a stop loss you would generally be willing to take? Many thanks!
He understands that it's most probably a fake CISD because he understands the draw on liquidity. He knows beforehand that price is most likely going to a specific area. He doesn't "know" he understands that it is most probably a fake CISD because he understands that the draw is lower.
why such a tiny SL? I feel like the internal sweep on turtle soup more often then not will have a more significant manipulation leg, especially on the 1m. Thoughts?
I mean, the timeframes matters, cause price can create multiple sweeps and stop you out , there has to be a precise pattern that forms when original TS is formed, it shouldn’t be this complicated
There is a nugget by Linda Raschke, who brought up TS originally in her book "Street Smart". The original TS was confirmed if price (after breaking the previous high) turns back below the previous high. ICT, as usual, just copied that strategy from her
@@backpackguerillayou ever backtest that? Let me know the win rate if you do because I doubt it’s that high. Few very key things always get ignored by people who talk about soup but don’t trade them. No shade just being honest.
@@backpackguerillayou should know that ICT mention her, and said if you understand her pattern and understand what he teaches about it, it’s better for you
The reason this trade worked out is because he is expecting price to go lower (Tuesday low weekly profile, we already took buyside liquidity), and the most reasonable time to expect the reversal is in the NY Am session (after 10am news in this case). Turtlesoup is just an entry model, and it wont work any better or worse than other strategies if your higher time frame bias is wrong.

Absolute Excellent insights... THANKS Dan
Best explanation and visual description I have seen. Following!

Yep that simple fr. The biggest thing is that DOL. until we get there price will be in a sell or a buy program
your entry is same as mine but i entered because of breaker block !

Could you do a video on SMR (vs CISD)? There is not one video that clearly explains SMR.
Hi Dan. Do you think it is ok to use NQ1! And not have to change every quarter to other contracts.
Appreciate your response.
Great content, thanks for sharing 🚀
Hi. Great videos!! Love it!
I don't understand the term turtle soup, is it sell side or buy side liquidity?
Everything else is clear but that term just confuses me.
The x axis is the most important 😂😂😂
If you see it you can never unsee it again 😂😂😂
Thanks
Hello,
How do you know if it's a fake CISD or not?
Thanks

do you give insights on forex pairs in your discord?
So anytime a candle closes below or above 1 or consecutive candles this is considered CISD?
But it must be on key level, sweep Liquidity and also you must have clear DOL.
Best 🐢 video
