LOL dude, it's not a "cover band" if he's the one who wrote the songs in the first place, no more than McCartney & Wings were a Beatles cover band. Sting's played and written with brilliant guitarist/composer Dominic Miller for well over 35 years, much longer than his time w/the Police.
@@kiwilerner Good points. But what led me to this was that Sting never played with (only) a guitarist and drummer, before or after the Police. Maybe he's had to cut expenses or thought the audience numbers would increase if he mimicked the line up of the legendary Police.
