His career is full of so many great titles, oldest world rank no.1, European 2x World Cup winner, the man who could beat the Chinese ec.t. I mean come on, he’s played all the way from the Liu guoliang ages to the Wang Hao and Ma Lin, to Ma long and zhang jike, and now to the Fan zd and Wang chuqin era, he’s completed so many incredible things and now gracefully provided a foothold that has now led to the one of the least Chinese dominated era since 1990. As he allowed players like Felix, Franz and even German players like Dang qui and Duda to thrive.
Timo, over the three (3!!!!) decades (decade = 10 years!!!!!) he played on this world class level, has led literally 10.000s of German table tennis players and fans worldwide to follow his example! Young and old, leftie or rightie, we all are thankful for such a shiny role model of sportsmanship, fairness, dedication and pure joy of the game that is table tennis!
