    It's good to see that you are getting gold even if small, the grass is starting to dry out over here in the NT in patches but once that starts it isn't to far away from clearing the ground to detect, still getting tiny bits of gold from the sleushing I do just not enough to pay the fuel bill, I should take mum out with me to get some gold, low and slow that is what I do, almost time, yeeehaaa. Leon

    Interesting to watch you getting some gold. Can I ask why you don’t use a pin pointer like we do?

    • @GoldfieldsGoose
      @GoldfieldsGoose  Год назад +2

      Hey there, sometimes we use a pin pointer, but TBH I don't really Like them ,too much messing around , They do have their place for certain situations tho. Great for Relic Hunting..
      The Gold ends up in the Jar at the end of the day and that's what really matters.
      Plus I can just edit out the boring Bits 🤣
      Cheers👍🍻

    Hey guys! I never see you running the 17" coil for these 6ks.
    Give me your opinion should I just stick to the 11.?
    Can't you get a lot deeper with the 17 without losing much sensitivity ?

    • @GoldfieldsGoose
      @GoldfieldsGoose  Год назад +1

      I wouldn't say a lot deeper , 17 is great for patch hunting , I used one on my 4500 for years. 11 works really good , finds good gold at depth. I would say its personal choice on coil size, unless you know there is deep gold in an area then go a larger coil for sure👍🤜

    Which devices are better, GBZ7000 or 6000?

  • @fishinbite
    @fishinbite 2 дня назад

    Great vid! 6000 is obviously a great performer but Ive heard its very noisy on hot ground. Have you encountered issues with this? Is it harder to use than 2300 or 5000 due to this issue?

    • @GoldfieldsGoose
      @GoldfieldsGoose  День назад +1

      It is really noisy on hot ground. You can always turn threshold to zero.The increased sensitivity on the 6000 is worth every annoyance. I would say its easier to use than the 5000 and 2300. Just turn it on and go..

    • @fishinbite
      @fishinbite День назад

      @GoldfieldsGoose okay interesting. So turning threshold to zero stops it from being noisy but do you lose a lot of depth?

    • @GoldfieldsGoose
      @GoldfieldsGoose  День назад +1

      Hard to say, There's too many factors that will affect the machines performance at any given time..This is why prospectors get up super early to detect hot( mineralized}ground while its Cool as the machine WILL run more stable. Like I said too many variables.
      Bottom line is 6000 is a FK load better than the 2300 and the 5000.. I would never go back to those detectors.
      7000 is heavy but the most stable under ALL conditions.
      Depth advantages can be measured in mm so its hardly worth worrying about.
      you'll get the Gold ,or you wont.
      This is why Experienced prospectors move like a snail over gold rich ground.'
      Cheers 🍻Good Luck out there and stay safe

  • @DarronSanderson
    @DarronSanderson 6 месяцев назад +1

    How did you know this area would have gold? Its like in the middle of no where desert. No mine shaft or tailings. You folks just drive out and felt it was a good area?

    • @GoldfieldsGoose
      @GoldfieldsGoose  6 месяцев назад +1

      its not as simple as it looks obviously. Heaps of research goes into likely areas BEFORE we drive for hours burning Diesel..
      This spot we had a feeling there would be Gold and the indication was open holes and litter everywhere left by old prospectors.
      Could Also be as simple as looking around the Old workings from the 1890-1930 time period where they left gold everywhere, or researching geological maps looking for shear zones, contact zones.
      Cheers🍻

      @@GoldfieldsGoose Tell me about it. Mate i drove 2 1/2 hours away today, dug no less that 50 holes.. found 4 rusty nails, 2 pieces of wire and a 100 year old rusted out oil lamp, not even a speck! Absolutely bleedin. Its the detector 4sure. What would u recommend, the 6 and 7 are out of my league and was thinking either the sdc2300, 4500/5000 or the garrett atx? Its golden triangle victoria and the ground has shitloads of iron stone

    • @GoldfieldsGoose
      @GoldfieldsGoose  Год назад

      Yeah Victoria is tough , I didn't find any gold in Victoria the few times I had a look around, lots of trash though..I wouldn't use anything less than a 4500 with a nuggetfinder evolution coil on...everything above that will do better of course, but finding gold is really bloody hard until you start to get a feel for where to look in your area that has gold that hasn't been smashed to bits...takes time and lots of failures unfortunately.
