When Cap gave the shield to Sam, it just broke my heart. My wife (who's not a MCU fan as me) also pointed it out that it should've been Bucky. Cap fought the good guys just to prove Bucky's innocence and he hands the shield to Sam?! Doesn't make sense to me.
Both me and my friend are still mad about it to this day. But can you imagine Bucky's journey as he not only works to become the next Captain America but his journey on the road to recovery
Cap fought Iron Man, left the Avengers, all to save Bucky but for him to just give the shield to Sam is bad writing. After watching the new Cap trailer it makes me just wish Bucky was the one in it instead
The conclusion of hte Falcon and the Winter Soldier series IMHO proved that Sam was not worthy of the shield. That wasn't the intention of the writers, they wanted to show how great Sam was, but it was how it landed. Sam literally ended up defending the actions of a foreign terrorist who wanted to kill American citizens on American soil (and had already murdered a US serviceman) in front of the people she tried to kill. He is the the total antithesis of Steve Rogers and the values he represented. He's self-righteous, arrogant, self-absorbed and desires recognition and praise on the basis of superficial traits like skin colour.
Giving buck the shield would have been amazing. Everything between bucky and steve would have came to a conclusion. Bucky woulf have been the perfect nect captain America. He wouldn't have to be the same cap, but rather, use it to create his own legacy for peoplw to see aas hope. Giving it to the bird guy was so ridiculous to me. I thought i just misunderstood the shield giving to bird guy but NOPE! Bucky should been given the shield.
I agreed with you until the end. I'd personally prefer it if Bucky kept the shield, but that's just me. Otherwise, great video! I am DEFINITELY going to include this in my Winter Soldier essay!
Story telling be damned, canon be damned, if Sam doesn't get the shield, your all racists. Never mind the fact that Sam Wilson was already a well-respected hero as The Falcon. Ignore the fact that passing the shield to Bucky would have provided good stories and closure to his character arc. Hell, forget the fact that "Captain America" was created for no other purpose than propaganda before the U.S. even entered the war. "You have to do better, Senator!" Better than what? Better than whom? Thanos murdered half the population, you heroes brought them back. We weren't ready for that. Do better how? Show us how to "do better," Sam. Show us why you're Captain America now.
That’s absolutely ridiculous, you can’t shut down someone’s opinion just by saying it’s racist. Bucky was better friends with Cap . Bucky was a super soldier. Sam didn’t even want the job as captain America. Steve’s legacy meant more to Bucky. It just made more sense for it to be Bucky. If anything it’s a little racist they forced it to Sam simply to look more diverse.
@@brentoutashape9141I’m glad you clarified you were being sarcastic because even though I read the entire post I was still confused. Honestly It’s sad that there are some people that actually think it’s racist to think Sam shouldn’t have gotten the shield as if it’s cool that Sam now has to put being The Falcon (being a superhero in his own right) on the back burner in favor of being the next Captain America.

Right!!! What was the point of doing all of that to clear his name and mind

Hey dude, it's been a while

@@thebman02 I actually agree with you. I think maybe you didn't read the whole thing, because the first sentence is sarcasm.
@@brentoutashape9141 mb man just saw the first line and went straight to typing 😂
