The VOC in my apartment (80 m2) randomly shoots up to 2000 ppb any time during the day. I have purchased this machine, and yet it is unable to reduce the VOC values as advertised. Am I using it incorrectly?
You’ll need a purifier with a lot of activated carbon to capture VOCs. The Airpura has 26 pounds. The Austin Air has 15 pounds. The IQ Air Plus has 5 pounds and the multi gas has 12 pounds.
iv heard poeple say this with alot of the carbon purifiers. I think it has something to do with the vocs actually being funneled into the filter directly and maybe the vocs arent being pulled in. IDK iv heard these machines giving off odors themsleves and offgassing, but if it was so good at vocs youd think it would naturally reduces its own vocs to the point you cant smell it.. Also maybe its too much voc content and coming from one spot and the machine is too far from that spot. I remember I had dehumidifiers releasing a chemical scent, i purchased a cheap charocal filter material, taped it directly on the machine and it got rid of the scent entirely. So how does that work to reduce the smell but these machines cant? Are the solid carbon actually better than a filter sheet? IDK Heat causes offgassing, during the day the heat may be doing up
Iv heard this before on other reviews. On their own website they said in the review that complained about it that their own machines are sealed with materials that can offgass. So they said their machines dont offgass themselves but what they use to seal them does, AKA the machine offgasses

But do the buttons glow? Mine are hard to see bc they don't, but I have the previous model. I wonder if they corrected for this in this version?

Yeah, I just one the Healthpro plust with the V5 Carbon filter and same thing. It does not appear to lower VOCs for me either.
Get the Aeris Aair 3-1 that’s also Swiss made.
Aeris Aair is better than IQair and i have both.

@@npcRegardnailed it, it’s about the adsorbent materials mass and how often air passes through it!
