I liked Gladius when he was introduced, and I do have the feeling Oda was really inspired to draw him at first. Then after drawing him for awhile was like, 'this guy is a pain in my ass to draw constantly' and was done with him.
Gura Gura No Mi has now found a solid competitor for most destructive devil fruit in the world lol. Could easily anihilate entire towns, cities, islands on a whim if user trained awakening enough. Heck, they could probably terraform the grand/redline with enough time!
I’ll have you know Tekking Gladius is one of my favourite characters Design wise Though on a more serious if this fruit’s awakening makes it so others swell up explode but it hurts them or makes so he can make stuff like the air swell up and explode I think this fruit would be really terrifying
Gladius maybe not a character that’s my favorite in the series but out of the Doflamingo Family he is one of my favorites with his Steampunk design & the Pop-Pop Fruit is definitely up there as a Paramecia Fruit I would eat plus I find it funny that he was fooled by Kin’emon with his Doflamingo disguise
For years that moment with Kin'emon had me believe that somehow his garb garb fruit also had the ability to perfectly camouflage someone no matter how bad the actual outfit was. But in reality Gladius was just kinda dumb in that respect lol
The whole gathering of bricks reminds me of an old Reddit story. The Redditor's Grandfather worked as a brick layerer. The grandfather would steal a few bricks a day for the entire time he worked there, and he worked his entire life there. After his death, his boss found out that the Grandfather made a few houses on his property with all the bricks he stole. He was more impressed than pissed, and also really couldn't have gotten him arrested, nor could he have gotten the houses teared down. So, he just let them be.
Gladius was my favorite of the regular officers he has an amazing design and I enjoy his use of his powers.and he was apart of picas army being my favorite of the elite officers and doffy was one of my favorite warlords. So yea im unironically a Gladius fan and I would use his name when I was playing zelda and what not games till now cause I always put in capone bege as my name lol. Plus Gladius fought bartolomeo and was targeting nico robin some of my fav characters so there is alot to love about gladius.

IMHO the most memorable characters from the Doflamigo pirates, aside from Doffy, are: 1) Senor Pink (due to his hardboiled fight with Franky) 2) Pica (because Zoro laughed at his voice) 3) Sugar (very interesting devil fruit; also God Usopp scaring the living shit out of her twice) 4) Trebol (mainly cuz of his boogers combined with him not having any concept of personal space; I know people like that) 5) Dellinger (cuz Zoro kicked him in the ass without even drawing his swords) 6) Lao G (I really like the old man needs his glasses schtick that he did) The remaining members are a bit of a blur for me.

Well some people’s favorite characters are villains that have done worse things than Galdius ( e.g., Akainu, Rob Lucci, Crocodile, Doflamingo). Unless they’re someone who is absolutely despicable/not strong at all/ no tragic backstory to explain their actions like Charloss or Spandam, then I don’t see a problem with people liking evil characters.
Speaking of lesser known characters, one of my favorites is The Fighting King Elizabello. I like his style and his ability King Punch is pretty strong and he doesn't even have a devil fruit.

There are some devil fruits out there that seem capable of messsing up inanimate objects and I worry about how it can basically instantly kill the Sunny.

Gladiua was my favourite, before we knew him and senior pink was my least, and that flipped around when we got to know about them senior pink became my rav on the dofy family ❤
I also thought Gladius would be Doflamingo’s right-hand man after that first time we see him. I was hoping he was gonna be the Darth Vader of the Donquixote Family with Doflamingo himself being the Emperor, of course. His initial design with the top hat was perfect, I don’t know why Oda messed it up. And just like with Mr. 5, his ability had so much unreached potential.
Not my favourite character but definitely one of the better ones in the Doflamingo family. He was really cool and I wish we got more from him. I also wish he was one of the main execs cause Pica and Trebol were pretty disappointing/annoying.

I didn’t know who Gladius was before this video. But now this character is in my top 50 One Piece characters.

Oda is how ideas should be recycled. While the doffy group and crocodile groups have similar ideas and powers they don't step over each other
