Lo and behold today I was catching up on B Side / never released songs from some of my favorite bands and singers. Holy crap. Here it is. I recognized it immediately as soon as it began.
They wanted you to buy the album and the single, And who knows maybe you would like a picture disc too after buying the "remastered" album. 🤑 I had 7 copies of the first Black Sabbath album, Record, Cassette, 8-Track, Picture disk, CD, German release with bonus track (record) and a first print copy of the record. I think that was all. LOL
It might not make sense but this song along with the whole Diamond Life album reminds me of sitting in my room with the lampshade off. It’s a mood. A whole feeling. Can’t explain.
Love this song one of my all time favorite Sade tracks, I wish Sony would release a cd of all Sade B-sides & import tracks that are not available domestically. Hey there's a concept.

one of my all time favourite of Sade ... thanks so much for posting .. incase you didn't know . all 3 musician form a side project without Sade as vocal .. called "Sweetback " great mid/down tempo Jazz Pop .. ..again ..thanks for posting .. had the 12" ..but lost it from moving around ... A guy from Hong Kong
The sessions for Diamond Life were 15 songs. The album published nine. As b-sides we can add three (Spirit, Should I Love you and Love affair with Life). So three more unissued tracks sleep on the vaults. A pity that sade didn't edited a deluxe version of her albums like Everything But the Girl did not so many time ago...
Apparently when Smooth Operator became such a hit, this one took a backseat. It was never on any of her early albums but was on the flip side of her single When Am I Going To Make A Living as a "b" side offering. Whoever thought this was a "b" side offering needs to have their head examined.
Wish Sade would release some remasters
with bonus track gems like this one!
