      God wants all of his creation to be saved ... but they clearly won't be.

      Once save, always saved ... is an anti-Christ belief. Hebrew 6 is clear, that you can lose your salvation ... by continuing to sin, not following God, and not having the faith.

    Guys I just feel like sharing my experience wid you about sin
    Ik its random but i feel like i need to ( not by holy spirit telling me)
    I love Christ . I had been a lukewarm christian for 15 years of my life . When i came back to Christ with my own will I recieved the holy spirit and now i feel conviction of my sins, the holy spirit reminds me everyday of a verse that is related to my life when i am taking a decision. But recently I fell into deep sin, it was miserable as the holy spirit kept on convicting me at the same time, this went on for a while but then holy spirit encouraged me by reminding of the verse that says that a righteous man falls of 7 times and gets up 7 times, pls ,my dear brother , my dear sister, whatever causes u too sin..dont take it lightly, run away from it , run towards the opposite direction, whenever there is a temptation...there God makes a way to escape it....

    I appreciate the balanced viewpoint, but I was discussing this with a friend recently and it occurred to me that there are a lot of implications for how we view this doctrine, especially regarding discipleship and how we respond to backsliding or drifting believers. Should we assume God will discipline his children to humble them and bring them back, or should we warn them in the strongest possible way? What is the responsibility of the church? Also, what part does sanctification play in salvation? Is it necessary to submit to God’s process to be saved, or is that something we do out of gratitude for being saved? I find these questions are quite fundamental for how we live out our faith. It would be interesting to hear your views, but I understand if you don’t want to commit to either doctrine, because I agree, there seems to be scriptures that support both views. Maybe we just need to take each person and situation individually and seek God’s direction...that’s how I am looking at it now.

      I don't know if you are serious or not, but in case you are it's important you get the fire back, but don't give up. If you're not involved in a local church where they believe the bible then I would start there. Church is like a fire where each person is a lump of coal and if we go too long on our own, the fire can go out but together we can keep each burning strong! However, if the church is dead it will also not help, so it's important to find a good one. That's my advice. Also speak to your pastor, and build friendships with other Christians who you can confess sin to and pray for one another. That's my advice. As well as the obvious things of make sure you spend some time every day reading the bible and in prayer.

In Revelation 3:5( He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.) ..IN this passage ,our Lord is talking to the Church in Sardis ,therefore if He said that He will not blow their name out of the book of life , i think it means that some people can be negatively chocked if they think that once you are saved ,it is eternal (no matter how you decide to live)...
    if i am wrong in the interpretation of this verse,plese correct me.

      @verite2133 3 года назад

      @Jesus Christ Is My Lord And Savior if He says that He will not blow out the names of those that overcame,that means He will blow out those that failed to overcome...Nothing can be more important than to have our name written in the book of life (Luke10:20; Rev13:8; Rev20:15 ;Rev21:27; Rev 22:19)
      There are also many parables where Matt8:11-12 ; Matt13:41-42; Matt13:49-50 ; Matt22:12-13 ; Matt24:50-51 Matt25:41.
      No apostle taught the false doctrine of :once saved always saved". Even Apostle Paul told to philippians to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling (philippians 2:12). and in another occasion, he said to corinthians ::::'''But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway."""
      therefore no believer should not fool himself and believe that once saved, He can choose to live as he want, and after his death , God will welcome him with joy ..

    Once saved is always saved...
    Our works has nothing to do with our salvation, Faith in jesus is all matters.
    "No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God."
    1 John 3:9 NIV
    It seems like that it doesn't makes sense,but that's why we have faith..
    Religious people won't understand this...
    "When the disciples heard this, they were utterly puzzled (astonished, bewildered), saying, Who then can be saved [from eternal death]? But Jesus looked at them and said, With men this is impossible, but all things are possible with God."
    Matthew 19:25‭-‬26 AMPC

Well he restored me as he did David, he gave me back my joy of salvation, months later I let the demon of anger get ahold of me, my husband was cheating and, I yelled and I hit myself, obviously not in control of myself, so now I sit in agony thinking the Holy Spirit has left me, because I don’t even feel the enemy attacking me any longer, and that’s all I know. I should had ran on my knees and gave the situation to Jesus but noooooo I had taken it into my own hands and now this is where I am at with the lord with Un assurance

      This is how I’ve been feeling for almost 9 years
      Hello there I need desperate help.

I had this warm fiery presence in my heart for a few months after, I felt guilty and remorseful when I sinned, but I started going back into my sins I did before getting saved. Little by little the holy spirits presence faded and faded. Then it was completely gone. I noticed I quenched the Holy Spirit by going back into willful habitual unrepentant sin. The last time I had his presence in me was January 2015. Almost 9 years ago. I can still stay away from sin, and have been. I’ve been praying for years I just cannot pray while believing but I’m sure god can still hear my prayers. I don’t feel remorse for things that are bad but I know what’s wrong and what’s not wrong to do and I stay away from the wrong things. I strongly fear going to hell, I doubt my salvation A LOT and have been for YEARS, I just want to have the 100% certainty of going to heaven back like I did when I first got saved. I’m born again, but I quenched the Holy Spirit but I know the Holy Spirit doesn’t leave a true believer. He’s just been silent, and his presence has been quenched and I need to know how to light his presence up again. I’ve prayed for it many times for years but still nothing. I’ve been dreaming of getting baptized and I’ve never been baptized before (when I was a baby a catholic priest sprinkled water on me but the biblical way is full immersion which I’ve never done.) in my dreams, the Holy Spirit filled me and his presence was lit again when I got baptized in my dreams. I felt all this peace love and glory immediately after just like I did when I first got saved when the Holy Spirit first came down into me. When I get baptized, will his presence be lit up again? Will I once again be on fire for god? He’s so close to me yet I feel billions of miles away from him. I can’t keep living in this fear and doubt of if I lost my salvation. I know it’s all a result of quenching the spirit. Please help

    Faith alone justifies but a justified person with faith alone would be a monstrosity which never exists in the kingdom of grace.
    Those who are humble, who turn from their sins and who have faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ have access to God’s gift of grace. And no one wants to lose that blessing.
    We are told to “pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright” (Hebrews 12:14-16).
    Once one receives God’s grace and stands in His grace, future unrepentant actions by that individual could cause him or her to fall short of being under grace. For instance, if bitterness, which is actually a state of anger and hatred, is not repented of, one could become defiled by that wrong attitude or spirit and fall short of the grace of God. Likewise, we could be like Esau who sold out his future for the pleasures of the present. Therefore, we need to continue to pursue peace with all people and maintain holiness.
    The apostle Paul noted the following in Galatians 5:4: “You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.”
    Paul explained that anyone could fall from grace-even he himself could! He was the apostle to the gentiles and was mightily used by God, yet he realized the potential for losing the condition of grace given to him from God. He explained this using the analogy of an athlete competing for a prize.
    “And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified” (1 Corinthians 9:25-27).
    Paul realized that he had to continue staying close to God, being humble and being obedient to God: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works” (Ephesians 2:10). Having the grace of God is a wonderful gift, but if we neglect such a gift by turning away from God and His way of life, we would fall from it (see Hebrews 6:4-6).
    But here is the encouraging thing to know: God wants us to continue in His grace, and He will help us to do that. Notice Philippians 1:6: “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
    So, we can only fall from grace-from God’s wonderful gift-if we ourselves allow it to happen. Therefore, we must remain steadfast in holiness. We must not forget that we are justified by Christ’s blood. And we must make sure we do not become disqualified by our own undisciplined or disobedient actions.
    God promises His grace, and we must not fall from it!

He is our righteousness not us or what we do, BE ye Holy as I am holy there is no way I can be Holy Like God, NO WAY... this is why Jesus is our Holiness and our sanctification, our redemption, our justification Jesus is the Alter, He is the Offering, He is the sprinkled blood on the Alter. The only way I was able to see that was when I actually believed what Jesus did at the cross. In the Gospel of our salvation, disciples were walking with Jesus and He tells them anyone that who wants to be my disciple will need to take up his cross and follow me daily?? seriously Jesus? yes But has anyone ever did that? of course not, Jesus knew that they couldn't do that, He wants us to give up and say LORD I need you to save me because I cannot be that perfectness that you say I need to be, that is why He said that and many other things, because He wants us to come to Him, not look to ourselves and think we can do it.
      to many people today think by keeping commandments they will be fine, when they are just mocking God, the children of Israel did the same thing they thought they could keep the commandments and God would tell them no you can't they said yes we can, so God let that generation stay in the wilderness.
      Friend just believe in him that is all He asks you to do.
      When He came look at what he said when the Pharisees thought they were keeping the commandments look at what Jesus says;
      Mat 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
      Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
      Now why would Jesus raise the bar? because salvation is not found in works but IN HIM, He wanted people to look to Him not to works, BUT I notice people take these and other verses and twist them instead of reading them in context.
      God is not looking for HOLY people He is looking for His Son in people that is the holiness. It wasn't until I realized I was saved that I got the biggest breakthrough in my life.... I came out of a Pentecostal church and boy I thought I was losing my salvation almost every wk. Now I just rejoice and rest upon the Lord for he is my rest, I don't have to be walking double-minded and not knowing if I did something to lose my salvation, for eternal life is OSAS.
      If Jesus wanted us to live a life hard why would he say;
      Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
      29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

    Mathew 10:42, though I do know if you become lawless you will lose your salvation, but even when you sin (put down one of the 10, for example adulatory, many Christian’s and saints suffered from this, heck even David suffered severely from this most adults focus on that sin of his while children love the David vs Goliath story. Maybe even Paul when he said “I don’t do what I want to do and I do what I don’t want to do” could be pointing at that) you will be known as least but imo being known as least is better than being known as the greatest in hell, your alone in hell so there’s that lol. And I believe letting down your love for God Jesus and the Holy Spirit is extremely difficult, but you can still lose it if you think someone is committing blasphemy. Also i don’t mean to pick and point and verses but Jesus said a lot of things that He wanted to prove it’ll be difficult to lose the salvation as long as they believe and try your hardest, He did say, you will all fall. Just don’t forget there’s also the forgiveness of oneself, if you cant forgive yourself then idk maybe you can lose your salvation.

      Jesus knew we couldn't keep the law, or love him more, or take up our cross, He said all those things and more so we can figure out that we cannot keep up with what He requires, Perfection the Law was given to show us our false and condemn us if we break it, but the goal was for us to give up and say LORD I need you to save me for I cannot save myself..... BUT no people to this day still think they can save themselves this is why Jesus said ONLY believe in Him;

    Personally anyone who believes you can lose your salvation should stop following Christ immediately. Your life is hid in Christ, you are sealed until the day of redemption, do you really think he’s gonna say oh sorry you are no longer saved because of ........? Like really? Paul is convinced that nothing shall separate us from Christ’s love. John 5:24 says enough and John 6:40. By the way Pastor that scripture you made reference to Hebrews 6 it is really talking about those disciples who followed and left Jesus John 6:60-67. Folks, have faith and know that there is a blood covenant and God does NOT go back in His word. Have confidence in Him who is able to keep you, take no confidence in the flesh for it WILL FAIL you.

    The absolute division is based on the responsibility on who, God or the believer. Sadly, it's either or, not both.
    OSAS always looks on God's responsibility and avoid THEIR RESPONSIBILITY on obedience, taking dominion over sin, seeking God, desiring holiness, etc.
    Romans 11:17-22 speaks on God not sparing the natural branches, what makes us think He would spare us if we are not abiding in Him.
    1 Timothy 4:1 speaks of those "departing the faith." How does one leave a faith if they did not have faith to begin with?
    2 Thessalonians 2:3,10 speaks of a falling away and those who did not adhere to the love of the truth.
    Revelation 2:1-9 speaks of those in Ephesus "left their first love." Nowhere does it say they never loved Him or had no faith, it says they walked away. Jesus waits on them for repentance. It does not say if they did.
    Revelation 3:14-20 speaks of Jesus "vomiting the Laodicean Church out of His mouth." This indicaties they were once part of His body yet, decided to serve two masters. Worse is it was Jesus would made the move, not the god of materialism. Yes, repentance is again made but there was not ONE GOOD THING Jesus could commend on this church.
    The Laodicean Church is the modern church today.
    Even Hebrews 10:26 speaks "if we sin willfully AFTER that we have RECEIVED the knowledge of the truth, there remainth no more sacrifice for sins." Note the word AFTER.
    These people heard and received the truth and still sought sin. Why? Because I believe like many today, they can toy with sin and the flesh and still believe God will pull them from the fire.
    Jesus came to deliver us from sin and He gave the Spirit to help us overcome sin, our flesh and our human weakness.
    We are not taught to count the cost to follow Jesus. It is a great cost to Him and it should be a great cost to us. Our sins, our life, our self-righteousness, our friends, the world, all to follow Christ.
    Sorry to say, many I read and hear about in Christian circles, they are more interested in avoiding hell than chasing God. Just go through the motions every week and expect those duties of going to church and giving will be satisfactory enough for His approval.
    Not me.
    "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee, the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom thou have sent." (John 17:3)
    That is my full intention, to know and understand God (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

      No. We go by the Word of God not my view. You do study ah?
      Look devils believe that Jesus is the Son of the most high but do they believe in the finished work of Christ at the cross absolutely not. Not even satan believes that or satan and all the devils that were here at the time of Jesus would have done everything in their power to not let Jesus go to the cross. Very simple this is why satan is the accuser of the brother he cannot believe that the blood of Jesus has cleansed us from all sin. Just like people today that believe what satan believes and think they can lose their salvation satan is the one who fed them that story and people eat it all up….

      It is for unbelievers who at some point in their life, came to know who GOD is (attending church) but just decided that Christ is not fit for their “lifestyle” remember the man who asked Jesus he wants to be saved, but Jesus told him to sell all his riches and follow Him. The man wept because he couldn’t sell his riches and follow Jesus.

    The once saved always saved prayer is false . You have to choose one side or the other . The lukewarm he will vomit out of his mouth . Meaning you can’t believe and follow Jesus , then live in sin by being drunk or adultery, we can’t dip in the world of evil with good . Just pray for the sinners and pray that they will repent . Dark and light cannot mix . Just my thoughts

    Yes, God will justly judge as stated in Hebrew 6 ... where it says you can lose your salvation.
    Faith in Jesus as Lord & Savior ... is a choice that you must make every day ... just like a husband & wife chose to be together in an eternal union.
    God obviously chooses you for ever ... but you must choose him each & every day ... to get your eternal salvation through Jesus Christ.
    Once saved always saved, is clearly a false teaching, and mislead people into believing they can continue to sin. Only God knows when you have the faith that that will save your eternal soul ... and ... when you haven't.
    Christ wanted his children to be a light unto the world to draw the sinners to salvation ... by choosing each & every day to follow in his footsteps.
