I've been using this model for several years and no problems. I can get about a night and a half out of the batteries.

Thank you for the real-world range test with audio. If I didn't already have the Phenyx system, that test would have sold me. Loving mine so far!

Have you tried using it to send two separate signals into the transmitter, then switching the receiver to MONO mode so you can pan between the two inputs? Not one review view I have seen yet does this... (for our church, we want one channel being the audio track, then second channel being mix of the 6 singers, so thos who want more music can self pan to that, those who need more vocals can pan to that...)

I haven't ever done it that way, but that's a good idea 👍

Nice review! There was some static in the audio used for the range test, can’t you link the track used for the test? Or can you comment on whether or not the static was a lo-fi effect used on the track?

Yes just to clarify that was some sort of "lo fi" copyright free track I found real quick as a last minute idea for the video and though I don't remember which one it was now "lo fi" was in the title and the vintage record crackle sounds you hear are in the track itself. The only static that was present from the unit was around 5:42 when I got to the back of the fence line well over 100 ft away. It's about as clear as any high dollar SHURE unit I've used, but no doubt some of that will get lost between the unit and the camera, this test was more to show the distance and that it's not going to drop out on you while moving around on stage. Thanks for watching.

I've seen a lot of cheap IEM stuffs having issue with low end (40-50 Hz) and dynamic headroom on the bodypack. I hear insane representation of the low end in your recording.
Is the recording test made from the bodypack itself or the headphone out of the transmitter?

the distance test in the back yard was coming out of the bodypack headphone out transmitter as shown, plugged into the camera mic input - that track was a lo fi copyright free track with record fuzz added to the music itself - not the best track to use for a demo, but I didn't notice the lo fi record fuzz until editing as I just picked a random copyright free song here on youtube. I left it because this was not an audio demo, but a distance demo to show that it wasn't going to drop out on stage use. The original song I used when playing my sax was recorded out of the rear transmitter itself so that I could hear using the bodypack.

    Is the beltpack metal?

The belt clip is, but not the beltpack. Then again, neither is my SHURE so I didn't count that against it.
