    If an athlete tells you he's training 6-8 hours a day there are 3 possibilities-
    (A) He's a liar
    (B) He's not training hard enough
    ( C) He is Tony"el cucuy"Ferguson

    I found it useful to take a week off once every 6 weeks of training, whether it was lifting weights or grappling. It allows niggling injuries a chance to heal, and you come back a lot more enthusiastic and ready to go hard again. My old lifting buddy taught me that. YMMV.
    A couple of rest days a week was also very necessary IMO.

    • @executivelifehacks6747
      @executivelifehacks6747 4 года назад

      Great content again, Chael!

    • @executivelifehacks6747
      @executivelifehacks6747 4 года назад +3

      @Dantes230 if you do get sick for a week, then you don't take the week off, that was your week off. It doesn't have to be a religious every 6 week thing either. I did find it useful to keep up intensity. I think I progressed faster in both lifting weights and MMA components than most others but I did come to many training sessions (more per week than most), and always took notes. That was in my twenties. YMMV.
      For stress fracture, soft cartilage issues etc you can either take some routine time off pre-emptively or you wait until things break and take more time off IME. A week off, you won't forget much and you come back with a zest for it. With months off you forget and lose.conditioning.
