"some just can't be bothered to stick around another day" and "save the speculation for another time" both feed fuel to the flames of the rumors that Rev's death may have been suicide. Also for those who don't know and I'm sure sure if it's been said but this whole album is dedicated to their drummer Rev who died right before this album came out that's why if you look at the gravestone that says forever their REV is bigger than the rest of the letters so much love for this band
Ah man, this is my favorite Avenged Sevenfold song. I lost my little brother a few years ago now and it resonates with me quite a bit. It's one of their songs that they don't perform live, I can only assume because it's a bit too much for them. For me, it feels like there is some anger behind the lyrics which also causes some guilty feelings as well.
The line “I’d rather trade it all while somehow saving you” hits really deep for me right now because my mom has cancer but no matter the treatments, the cancer keeps coming back. Gotta stay strong tho
