If done right, this type of could be incredible, groups joining up with other groups to split loot and dominate or to be taken out by rival fractions, or it will be DOA
Graphically, it looks very good. Which is expected from Embark, they did a phenomenal job on The Finals. Trailer-wise, I'm getting strong vibes of Anthem, where they did the staged "team gameplay" and narrative combination, and we saw how that game turned out. The video is not showing compelling gameplay or gun battles, which is very concerning. Plinking away at small drones isn't fun for long, and the big distances look very empty here, with long distance gun battles that may encourage a lot of camping. The "search the collapse and fight small bands of players" feels a lot like The Division. For some people that's great, for me, I found the game to lack engagement quickly. My gold standard for PVPVE is Hunt Showdown, which has much more interesting environments, more NPC enemies and more variety than shown here, and peak gunplay which is fairly unique given the setting. I hope this game does very well, and I will probably give it a try, but this trailer didn't sell me on it.

@@omegaprime223I don't actually think that that is a bad thing. So I'm confused.. when I first got excited for this game in the earlier trailers it already was gonna be multiplayer, Then they changed their minds and confirmed they were gonna change the direction of the game by making it single player, which also got me excited cuz my first thought was that it meant we were gonna get more of a deeper roleplay narrative story in an open world. So I was like ok cool! I'm intrigued! And now without addressing it they've changed their minds yet again and decided to make it multiplayer after all??? Don't get me wrong either way I'll still look forward to it! But I am starting to get concerned. And is it just me? Or did the earlier trailers looked more open world? @@Archetype_M3T4L Its like DMZ frim cod or Escape from tarkov. You loot places in the map. And then you do an extraction. If you die, you lose everything.
The sound effects are fantastic!
I will admit, the sound design is impeccable
Well sound design (atleast combat sound) shows they're really the people who worked on Battlefield and Battlefront games.
It’s been a long time since I saw the earlier amazing trailer with superb music.
So they turned it into an extraction looter? Damn well so much for waiting.
Yea i was super excited when they announce it was gonna be a f2p pve type game too.
I'm hoping this scratches the itch that early The Division gave me. As long as it stays how this trailer looks and doesn't add things like The Division did (like the shield "ultimate" and spam rolling) then I think this would be a fun game.
I really like the art design
This looks well made! Not inventing anything new but looks solid and fun
Looking forward to the final release. Enjoyed the test thoroughly, this team did an incredible job.
using bots to raise expectations...
@@LEV1ATANso anyone who looks forward to playing the game in the comments are all bots huh
@@TriNguyen-mu9ok do you know how to read? These types of comments, the way they are written, are not normal.....
this kind of words/phrases you never use in your life
And let's be clear, I have this game on Steam on my wish list
@@LEV1ATAN Bro I know this person in real life. I don't think this is another corporate studio wanting to bank in on some cash, otherwise they would have just went with a f2p scheme. To be fair, Tab's comment can seem a little off considering how many games have had a straight up sad release. From what I've seen, I think this team and their leadership, is gonna do a good job.
I was expecting Helldivers copies to start popping up but I think we're still in the extraction shooter era
If done right, this type of could be incredible, groups joining up with other groups to split loot and dominate or to be taken out by rival fractions, or it will be DOA
This was a nice gameplay trailer, I look forward to seeing more of this game next year.
Looking forward for to this. Hopefully they can nail the quality of life and long term content to make it fresh. All the best to the devs
I was interested until they introduced pvp. Thanks no
why?
@@VladTheSoursome game were better single player than pvp
This game + pvp is basically tarkov
@@VladTheSour Because not everyone likes being the punching bag. The people there for PvE are forced to PvP that they don't want with zero recourse, meanwhile PvPers can just ignore the PvE content by ganking PvErs for their loot (which PvErs are not allowed to get out of because 'it's part of the sauce').
@@alimanan502 but better, because it's not tarcov
@@omegaprime223I don't actually think that that is a bad thing. Honestly, it's just a niche of pvpve games that players have to get good at both sides of combat in the game, eventually mastering it as a whole! Sometimes it best to lay low to simply get a quest/objective done, or riskilly hunting down others to get loot! The general consept has so much diversity to it and I love it!
And if you don't like that kind of game, that's fine.
Technical presentation looks really good, I especially like the Spanish mediterranean setting.
I love The Finals..a real buzz on that game, mostly I play Hunt Showdown...that gets your heart racing. I'm really hoping this is up there to. Enjoy folks.
Hunt is SO underappreciated
I had several heart pounding moments in the play test. It seems a bit more chill overall than Hunt Showdown (I haven't played that), but still plenty of intense fights.
@@StephenHutson I've been searching for a good extraction shooter that ISNT Hunt on PS5. Its very difficult, of the handful we gave all have been disappointments except Hunt
Hunt Showdown is one of the best games in last years.
It’s nice to see a game without cracked out movement. Will be looking forward to checking out the final product.
Nice art direction
The sound design is really nice. I'm not big on extraction shooters but this looks pretty damn promising. It's looking like a pretty sweet game so far. Can't wait to see how what the future holds for this.
I don't know why they made this game an extraction shooter! A lot of players do not like to interact with other players when it comes to losing everything after death. I think they should have kept the game it was supposed to be originally. IMO.
This looks great. But the thing that sold me was the fact Embark is making it. The polish on their game is nuts.
They should make a gameplay trailer based on the true experience:
Load time to start the match
Spawn
Start looting
Get destroyed by a try-hard
Lose everything
Load time back to hub
If in a good mood, try again
If in a bad mood, uninstall
The people that try to rush down coordinated teams are usually the ones that parish in a fight, the same can't be said for inexperienced players..
@@KuroudoAkabane that wasn't my experience at all when I played it.
the sound stage is incredible I play alot of games with my sound system but this game breathes life, dont think I was this blown by sound since early bf3 and bf4
I like the sounds
Embark Studios has been cooking some good games. Really interested in seeing this game first hand.
im happy its not generic russian army guy extraction, makes it a little more interesting
I still can't believe these guys pivoted to an extraction shooter, I'm even more gutted now that the game looks phenomenal. Oh well, easy come easy go.
bro that crx is died 0:50
legendary 4 door CRX
pretty cool, i like the direction this is going with battle royale and survival aspect
Bring back the PVE game we were promised!
@@MarvinBoydCo no
Yeah no, this game is far better the way it is now.
I had this one on wishlist for a while now
I can't wait for these games to die off
Why?
@@Thepvpguy128 because they are not creative and pvp its old we have enough pvp shooters this was suppose to be different
@jordanward263 what are you talking about? There's not enough pvp games that come out. Singleplayer gets 80% of that. We need more and different ones. Everytime a new comes out you guys always try to run it to the ground. Smh...
@@Thepvpguy128 What stupid world you live in where that's the case?
Most games today are online/multiplayer.
The "vast" 80% are the mobile single player games.
An education does wonders, so you don't look like an idiot who has a poor grasp on how the world works.
@@Thepvpguy128 WTF are you talking about? There are PLENTY of PVP games coming out.
One of my most anticipated games in recent years
Its been like 5 years
Nothing wrong with that provided they put out a good game.
@@_Cyb3rPunk It's not out yet
Played the playtest, it will definitely be worth the wait.
This trailer is open sure, but it gives limited area vibes for each run.. am I trippin? Do y'all know the trailers and announcements I pointed out?
So this is like Forever Winter, but if EA or Ubisoft ran it through the mold machine.
this is infinitely more high quality and polished and fleshed out than the forever winter
@@dogwithdabutter4 And ticking boxes every other game ticks? I’d take some jank over the sweaty corpo shooter everyone else is making.
I remember this game was announced to be released on February 2024 and got delayed because of HD2.
I’m seeing this and I have high hopes for the game.
Looks like HD2, yet not feeling cornered by npcs or other players every 5 min.
Another PvP Extraction 😮💨
Sometimes in the creative process you have to adapt and pivot. And it’s not an easy decision to make. This will probably be a better version of what peoples initial expectations and perceptions were.
It’s like a worse version of the dark zone from The Division. Can’t believe this is what they pivoted to from the initial reveal.
Yoo ive been waiting for this. Embark rules.
Game is DOA. It was perfectly situated to be a replacement for Destiny 2 and they decided to turn it into an extraction shooter that no one asked for. Bandwagoners ahoy.
Love the sound effects
From F2P PvE to a $40 extraction shooter.
So from wishlist to ignore list
You're going to still play it
Rare to see a shooter like this actually respect its own art direction. So nice to not see crazy skins running around.
Game looks great, hoping for a traditional PVP mode as well
"It is wise to check your corners"
Good to see that Captain Price's advice is still relevant 17 years later.
I thought this game was about fighting big robots in a PVE setting. What a waste of expectations 😢
Wow, I totally forgot about this game. The division-style gameplay initially made me skeptical, corny as hell dialogue. I thought it was just a PvE experience. I had no idea it was also an extraction shooter. The ending, however, really sold me with its mix of PvE and PvP, set in a world with massive robots. Definitely something to keep an eye on
3:08 Let's be real... Its not gonna happen.
Wow. I'm bummed I missed the tech test!
idk if this is just the pace of gameplay trailers but every time I see one of these it feels like they're trying to cater to a 2016 console era of gaming
Feels very like The Division in how they are presenting this.
Its just the way of IGN always trying to make gameplay shit cinematic
I'm going to give it a chance because it was the same guys who made The Finals, it deserves a chance!
I could just play the Division. At least it has a PvE mode.
I’ll take my chances with embark over Ubisoft 🤢
@shallot4991 to each their own, but the division is free and it's been out forever now so there aren't really any issues 🤷 I just prefer a separate pve mode and this game doesn't have that
Division graphics suck compared to what was shown
@@rayyanabdulwajid7681 If you play games solely based on graphics, I guess that's a concern, but I don't really care about graphics too much. I mean I will still play on my ps3 from time to time, and a lot of those games are graphically far behind the division. Also, I think the division games still look fine. The snowdrop engine has great weather and lighting effects.
@@themeanlesbeann fair, I’m also depressed they have a hold of trackmania so I can’t say anything

If this is a PVP extraction shooter where you lose your gear if you die, why have 3rd person? Peaking around corners and over low walls is going to be a serious problem
3rd person pvp is camp city, rip this game
Looks solid!
Cant wait for this. Looks great!
I think this game looks really good personally. I never seen the original trailer though and havent really gotten into any extraction shooters but i think i can definitely get into this!

@@nicollokhumalo2826 yes Im a fan of Embark. So?
I played the playtest and I've played dozens of hours of extraction shooters like tarkov and I can assure you this game is extremely fresh and not like any other game i've ever played.
This year is really the year of trailers explained by a voice-over. Let's see how people will exploit the game in the future.
The "gameplay" trailer gives off The Day Before vibes and it's another pvp extraction shooter and an industry where extraction shooters now are dime a dozen instead of niche games like Tarkov did. Can't wait to get absolutely wrecked by cheaters and tryhard streamers who play 38 hours a day
Reminds me of The Division. I like it
I hope there's still a coop pve only mode :(
Dude when the guy got shot after putting his hands up was crazy
This game feels sweaty, not sure if it will suit the casual player
all extraction shooters are, have you played hunt showdown? That was supposed to be casual and look how that turned out.
That's all pvp games now and days
This game is promising enough and i waiting for this game for 2 years. But i would like to have the option to change to first person camera anytime i want it would make the experience much more fun
