Just watched the first video where I actually learned the correct instructions for planting the seeds (my kit was accidently packaged with seedling instructions) so I appreciate this additional advice, thank you.

Great info. I never seem to have much luck with plants unless it is a succulent.

me too althought it used to be easier, I think the garden stores have changed their soils , because back in 2-005 I could grow almost anything! and I notice that soil you get from garden stores always has Japanese Stilgrass in it because its spreading everywhere now!

I’ve lost 3 dawn redwood seedlings indoors and 1 coastal redwood. I have a 3y old potted coastal redwood that’s thrives on a FL patio that gets about 4h indirect morning sunlight. My best advice, a squirt bottle - think of windex. I water it like a normal plant every other day during summer, and every third day during winter. But everyday it gets sprayed 2-3x. It imitates fog, which they live in Cali, and the coastal redwood can take in moisture from its foliage is my understanding.

That makes a lot of sense! Thank you!

I was told by a master gardener that whenever you stratify seeds, any type seeds
they need to be planted in peat moss & watered then the whole thing placed in the
fridge. When you pull the planted seeds out of the fridge, if you were to poke around
a bit you will find the seeds have little root shoots coming off the seeds where
there was none before. THEN you are ready to plant.

I just put them in the fridge how moist do you think i should keep them?

Just thoroughly wet the soil so it drips through a little, and that is plenty of moisture while they are in the fridge
