To be fair, the lyrics of both bands are pretty rudimentary and basic. Just one is more party type and the other is more emotional. Comes down to what you're looking for at the time.
I think Linkin Park lyrics are better too but not that much, LB has a lot of messages in especial on "Results May Vary"

João Caldeira Its not to show that there similar, its to show two bands who fall in the same genre go against each other to prove there creativity and diversity in playing.
There would be no point to put them together if they sounded the same, cause it would just prove how similar they are.

Wes Borland is arguably the better guitarist between the bands. He incorporates a lot more different styles

For me, LINKIN PARK wins! Both are very good bands but Linkin Park is my favourite band and it was the one that influenced me the most! But there's one Linkin Park song that would destroy Limp Bizkit, and that song is A Line in the Sand of The Hunting Party. That song is a beast!
That riff at the end is so sick... Perfect way to end the album

Wes Borland is incredible, and I'll always love a good handful of Limp Bizkit songs. But Linkin Park was one of my first favorite bands. Introducing me to the metal genre and it's many subgenres. Meteora, Hybrid Theory, and The Hunting Party will always have a special place in my heart.

Both bands deserve respect for their musicianship, regardless of what you think of their frontmen, even though they were a big part in their respective bands' commercial success.

Both different bands, with different visions, different messages. You have to embrace the diversity, not compare each other. Both bands have some incredible good songs. These bands were together with us as we stepped into the future growing older, and it's just a bittersweet memory of how awesome our childhood was, with good and bad shit alltogether.

Honestly, I can acknowledge that the guitar for limb bizkit is not bad. I just can't get into it. Linkin park will always be the winner for me.
Limp Bizkit's guitar riffs are more swinging and interesting, in terms of Wes guitars, and the whole band, are winning for me

This is like the number one seed versus the last seed. It's an easy win for Linken Park. The only way you get a Bizkit win is if Linken Park benches its starting lineup. lol but in all seriousness there is no competition. If you take out the Hybrid Theory riffs there is a chance but as soon as Papercut came on it was over man.

What’s the main stylistic difference between LP and LB? I would say LP is more emo inflected while LB is slightly more rap inflected
Featuring Daron Malakian on "Rebellion" was a great idea on Linkin Park's behalf. One of my favorite riffs along with "A Place for My Head."

Wow, that's a tough one. Linkin park is my favorite band from the past and limp bizkit is the one from the present. Still, linkin park's riffs felt more powerful to me.

Wes Borland is the 21st century’s official guitar god. Fred Durst delivers his raps in a more aggressive, pumped up way than Mike Shinoda. DJ Lethal provides more to his band as a DJ than Joe Hahn ever did. Sam Rivers is a crazy bassist with even crazier moves.
The Bizkit wins. Linkin Park can kiss their asses.
Have to disagree. In terms of guitarists Wes and Mike Smith are indeed better than Brad, but Lethal has nothing on Han, check out "Cure for the itch", and don't get me started on how Shinoda is an infinitely more talented rapper than Durst who, admitedly has some flow, but otherwise is just a laughing stock. Other than that they're close, obviously except for Chester Bennington's singing. LP wins hands down. The only thing LB has better is the guitar playing.
Linkin Park is my fav band and wins, but Wes Borland is definitely the more skilled guitarist. Linkin Park has more creativity amd versatility

There are a lot of people who make fun of LB but back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s they were incredibly popular. Same with Linkin Park. These two, Korn, Deftones and System of a Down were my favorite bands and still are.

Dude what? He plays the guitar on various songs. Search for faint, somewhere I belong, castle of glass, etc. He also sometimes plays keyboard on the more mellow songs, like on Numb.

As a guitarist who grew up loving these bands equally when they were in their prime, I personally feel like even though LP is the better band overall, the guitar parts are really basic and generic nu-metal. Not bad, just nothing I couldn't think up myself. The stuff Wes plays has it's own unique amazing sound that is specific to him. Not to mention this guitar lacks any of the really interesting clean stuff Wes does, any of his crazy harmonics, any of his tapping, any of his whammy effects. This only shows the pretty generic stuff.

Linkin Park vs Limp Bizkit. My most favorite band vs one of my top 5 bands. Both Brad Delson and Wes Borland are super talented writers, but Wes Borland is probably a bit more talented when it comes to writing, and a lot more talented when it comes to playing, which we can see not only in Limp Bizkit, but also in Black Light Burns and The Big Dumb Face. With that being said, I personally prefer Brad Delson's riffs, his playstyle, his sound and his songs. As a starting guitar player myself, I'm learning Hybrid Theory songs (and plan on learning to play all LP songs that I find a tab for). There's just something about Linkin Park that makes me like them more than Limp Bizkit in every aspect
