- Hi everybody, join me on my trip to Birmingham where I visit the biggest hmv in England. (‘the vault’) and grab a coffee with Jamie Powell and Katie Powell. Hope you enjoy.

Oh my! The decor in your hotel lobby is just beautiful. Right up my street.
Love Karl Pilkington shows. He’s so funny. That HMV is massive!!!! Loving the Chewy & Porgs. There’s such a lot of space which can be a real issue in these kind of stores usually. My husband wouldn’t mind that Wonder Woman, lol.

Lisa Loves Hey Lisa, yeah I thought you’d like the gothic styling of the hotel lobby. I think most men would like the Wonder Woman statue lol! Yeah there’s a lot of wasted space in the Vault but I can’t think there would be many more films they could squeeze in! Maybe a cafe..

Strange that they are still closing stores down but then open the biggest store in Europe lol, I actually still like The 100, really enjoy it, also watched Fringe, that was a great series, Thanks Alan.
Bushman Blu Hey Mark, yeah they’re closing down the high rent places..apparently according to the manager at Brighton, the rent on Oxford Street was 1.5million a year! And they weren’t ever making a profit so it had to go!
I only got to the end of season 3 of The 100 and we lost all track of the story as they left it too long for the next season so we gave up!

Hey mate... Oh you were an hour bus ride from where I live :) haha nice to see you in the Midlands haha. Chewbacca is awesome the Vault is lovely and the statues are just added enjoyment for shoppers :) buzz vs wonder woman hahaha.yeah the HMV is closing down in my town as well it sucks as they were told they were safe. I'll try and check out fringe if I can mate sounds too hope you and your family are well and take care
Lj Draco's Movie Channel Hey Lj, so close but yet so far lol! If I lived an hour a way on the bus, I’d be in that HMV all the time! Loved the statues...if I was rich I’d buy them for myself.

The other HMV that was closing down was packed. But that could’ve had something to do with the sale.

Glad you had a wonderful time in Birmingham. I did not know, you aren't allowed to record in shopping malls. The HMV Vault looked amazing. Plenty of space inside the store. And the big statues looked fantastic! Especially the Wonder Woman statue. 😎👍👍 Take care buddy! 🙂
Movies, Games and Fitness Hey Colin, yeah apparently terrorism laws prevent you from filming in malls now but you can film with permission inside shops in the mall. (Makes no sense to me!).
The statues were amazing, I could see why you liked the Wonder Woman one!

Wow The Vault looks huge, not many people in there though. Lovely hotel and seems quite central to everything. Can’t believe McDonalds got a latte wrong Alan. Lol
Hey Paul, the Vault was massive, you would love it. It was probably empty because the other one was closing down and everyone was picking over the stock.
Yeah if you ever do visit Birmingham, go for the Clayton hotel. It’s a two minute walk to the centre of the city.

Hi Alan, really enjoyed the video. Visited Birmingham myself last summer, real bummer that the Vault opened a few months later but still really enjoyed my stay. Guess i will have to look into Fringe now seeing as i love the x files haha. Take care mate 😁👍

I found the CEX in Birmingham a real bust, not many blu rays at all and what they did have were more expensive than in my home town.
The Vault on the other hand was amazing, I actually spent 4 hours in there! So many great movies, and I could actually choose some blu rays with the slipcases on, lol! The boxsets were pricey and had no deals, but the separate releases had some great bargains.

Yeah that is one of the worst CEX’s I’ve ever been in.. second only to Eastbourne.

I didn’t know you weren’t supposed to record in a mall. That church outside the Bullring is beautiful. Glad you had a nice time and met up with your buddies 🙂

Dave Hedgehog Hey Dave, I was in there just after 9am but two minutes away, the other HMV was jam packed! (Because it was closing down, they had more offers on).
I’m sure the Vault is usually busier than that. (Fingers crossed).

It’s sad a lot of stores like HMV we had in the US have mostly gone bye
MOVIE EDGE Yeah it’s quite depressing when you see all the shops closing down! Gone are the golden days of choice on the high street! We used to have about half a dozen physical media stores in Brighton. Now we’re down to two! Take it easy Mike 👍🏻🙂👍🏻

I don’t think I picked anything up Mike, because I mainly spent my cash in the Vault. Usually I own everything that’s on sale anyway lol. 👍🏻
That Elvis Presley movie is not in the state yet that would been a good pick up for you . Or it might be a different title here in the US
MOVIE EDGE I don’t actually have any Elvis films in my collection, it’s an area I haven’t tapped into yet. I haven’t seen any of his films since the 70s and can’t remember if they’re any good or not. I might have to pick one out to check. 👍🏻
