- Hi. Been kinda ill for a bit, sorry. Had a scare that sent me to the hospital that has kind of laid me waste, but.. I'm recovering. The joy of it all!
In the mean time, I figured i'd show this off. I'm not sure how much, if any Quint's Revenge stuff I've uploaded to my RUclips Channel (I should really LP the first game), but for now, here is a preview of a level from the second one.

This level shown here is not part of said demo, so if you've yet to try it, the content is all new. The original game can also be found at INC's game's segment, although compared to it's sequel, it's fairly rough around the edges.
Enjoy all the same. I needed a quick break after the marathon that was the 81 part MaGMML2 Let's Play... which naturally I can't upload yet because the game isn't out. Joys!
Big thanks for RushJet1 for granting me permission to use his remixes, as well as MiniMacro for plugging in any holes left by RJ1, such as the additional MM2GB themes as well as the latter portion of this stage.
For the record, progress with Revo has.. occurred... it's just that game isn't that much fun to work on, and Quint allows for a fairly different style of gameplay to work with than bog standard Mega Man.

....did NOT see that second half of the stage coming. Genuinely shocked me.
And that boss battle was pretty innovative. I liked it!
And good to hear that you're recovering, and the scare from earlier was something you were able to bounce back from!
This is a well designed, yet unsettling stage. I was not except the section with the inside of the snake. And that face inside the boss room is the stuff of nightmares.

the boss music is so awesome!!
it could be just me, but whenever the player hit Snake Man with the buster, its' hit sound effect wasn't loud enough. just thought i'd point that out. but wow.. this looks amazing.

Holy fuck this level is cool. Going into the Miniboss is a pretty cool Idea; it's like the one level on the DS Contra.
The remixes, also pretty great.

This looks like a good hack. Though I haven't really seen a lot of Mega Man hacks before.

Really cool, but this seems to be more unique and fleshed out than the other stages.

To be brutally honest, it is a gigantic robot snake. There aren't exactly that many ways to defeat that sort of thing from the outside now is there? This is in fact, a very common video game trope, especially from the 80's/90's games. To quote Gradius - "destroy the core!"
And for the record, this stage was heavily inspired by Ghost Whale from Sonic Rush Adventure, and Black Viper from Contra 4.

What's to understand? The level has you fighting a giant robotic snake, and cue video game logic, you destroy it from the inside.
As for not having heard of those games, you could google them. I can't believe you haven't heard of Sonic of all things.
Strange how almost all Mega Man fan games are using RushJet1 remixes
Hope you recover soon Acespark (and hoping that the health issue will not pop up as frequently), and hopefully the issues with your site gets resolved... I'm unable to download the game as the site appears to be down for me (but other sites are telling me it's up, so idk for sure). The main issue with the site I'm having is that the server DNS address couldn't be found... but going back to this video.
Thank you for uploading this despite your condition. Quint's Revenge seems interesting, and I look forward to eventually playing both games whenever I'm able to.

I just noticed names of gen champion are some gem name and thier real name. Clever
you know this hack for Rockman 5, Rockman Cross X? it has similar concept to Quint's Revenge 2, and even RMs are similar choice. Gemini Man is only one that didn't appeared there, and in QR2 there is no Skull Man, Wood Man, Air Man, Magnet Man, and Shadow Man.
MORE SNAKES FOR THE SNAKE MAN! I gotta say, I dig the gimmicks, even if the premise confuses me

Puzzle Platforming in this stage looks tight. It's too bad that the wind doesn't get more usage though.
Yeah, the stage was getting kind of cramped and lengthy, so a reprisal of the gimmick got nixed. It'll show up again in the Fortress.

It is extracted 'Mega Man IV (GB) Boss Theme' from 'Mega Man 4 Remade Boss Theme' made by RushJet1.

Probably a minor point, but the sound effects seem to vary too much with volume.
Different sound sources will do that. Valid complaint though, i'll look into it.
One question. How we can get the weapons from QR1 in final version.

Well, that was rad. I especially liked diving into the belly of the beast and Snake Man piloting a big Snakey as part of the boss fight.

Not yet it isn't. Life just isn't giving me chance to work on it.
It almost had a second demo release near the start of the year, but medical problems with my wrists means I can't physically work on it, and am undergoing treatment. Simple as that.
