Thank you! I wish I could’ve pounded the stakes in at better angles, but here in Connecticut, we have about 10,000 rocks hidden just beneath our lawn that tend to get in the way! 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you! I wasn’t planning to make them, but when I found vital gaps in information in so many areas, I wanted to share. I have a good one coming soon on the hidden truth about hanging bear bags too!
Good tips! Just closing out a week of backpacking with the standard 2P XMId. While getting the tent up is trivial, getting a really good pitch is not. I think you may be onto something concerning the issue of the straight lines. That’s precisely the problem I was dealing with where it seemed It was virtually impossible to have perfectly straight lines the way the bathtub connects. I will need to experiment a bit more, trying to focus more on the angle and not so much on each individual edge as I first stake it out.
Thank you! I’ve been trying to get a good pitch without adjusting the corners at all, depending on them less, so I can utilize them for variation pitches. I actually avoided using them in the video (even though I demonstrated them) and it came out pretty well!
Nice video. Thanks for putting this together.

Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing - I’m purchasing this tent in 2025 for my PCT Hike
Can’t wait to hike the PCT! Probably not til 2031 when hubby can join me!
