  • A brief look at Falmouth in 1953 in original colour footage from the days when Britain had a navy! I assume the ships were in Home waters for the Spithead Coronation Review (either going to or just come from). If anyone can identify the ships for me, that would be great. Falmouth is still used by the Royal Navy with the dockyard servicing the RFA ships among others. The video finishes with some black and white footage from 1950.

    HMS Vanguard until 1.10. Then a short clip of a carrier, but the details miss so the name is hard. Perhaps one of the Colossus class
