Best wrestling game period. Superstar Stats is one of my favorite features. You can actually keep up with your wrestler's history.

i've been the US champion since the game came out.
i had a glitch once where smackdown stars challeged for Raw belts, and i ended up with the World title and the world tag titles on Smackdown, it was awesome. Raw only had the hardcore, IC and womens belt for almost a year.
10/10 game.
This and Shut Your Mouth were the 2 best WWE games for the PS2

They should re-release this onto the PS2 Classics section of the PS Store. I sure as hell would get it.

Top 3 wrestling games for me is:
WWF No Mercy, in depth controllers, counters;AMAZING! Extremely fun wrestling move set, great character creation, magnificent title storyline mode.
Smackdown Here Comes The Pain: A variety use of weapons without having to charge up for a stupid finisher to do one cool move. The gameplay was fast paste and fair. The storyline was terrific, it didn't overstay its welcome like shut your mouth, fantastic roster and great soundtrack.
Smackdown Vs Raw 2006: Mixed Gender Matches, character creation was incredible, loved the storyline mode and general manager mode, online lobby was like no other and completely satisfied with how the gameplay and mechanics.
And WWE13 what I loved in it was you had the ability to create your own video for your entrance, Fucking Awesome, Create your own Stories and arenas, + But the A.I in this game was a little too dumb.
Why can't they combine all the games great qualities into one? I would love to see my own titan tron of the people's slap, or when you go to shake their hand, instead you kick them. The older ones had so much charisma.
please, how can I do the finisher repetition camera effect like 0:47? can I do the rotation effect like inShut Your Mouth? thanks anda this is da best game, I love it and 2010
The gameplay for HCTP is better than Raw 2 and much more fun.

All these new SvR games are complete trash I rented this game though because I never played it and I was addicted this game is awesome the last good smackdown game was 2006 or 2007

I agree. Although I love everything in 2010 and I think they did really good, there have been better even without all the features. My favorite WWE games in the Smackdown series are Smackdown, Smackdown Shut Your Mouth, and Smackdown Here Comes The Pain. Although I love all the rest, those 3 are the best.

ive got this for my PS2 and smackdown vs raw 2008 on my PS3 and i liked them both, im thinking about getting the rest of the smackdown vs raws

Yup, adding three different types of Backstage Areas, Elimination Chamber, better storyline, better fighting, bras and panties is very minor
this had the best season mode of any wrestling game. i was hooked on that game until the first SVR came out

This is the funnest wrestling game i've ever played, not the most realistic but its definatly one of the best

The way The Rock looks like the way he does it in SmackDown v.s Raw 2010.
The only thing I though was really horrible in Shut Your Mouth, Here Comes The Pain,, and especially Just Bring It, is the Create A Wrestler. I just think the character model is horrible. But the games in all just kick most of all the other WWE Smackdown games.
I love this game especially the story mode, i mean it repeats it self but it doesn't use the same superstars but if you have a big imagination like i do then it'll be pretty fun.
i agree with all of you.this game kicks ass.when i first got it...i played it with my friends for hours and hours.and it's a better game than svr series.like looking at this game....they took off a lot of good stuff(like the bra and panties match)the only good thing about the svr series is the cast of wrestlers.overall this game kicks ass!!!!

@djdrestyles77 no their not check out their website thq said that svr 2011 will be 'their' last svr game, but now thq said that they signed a new contract with something (probably wwe) cus their 10 year contract expired
the next SvR game would be perfect if it has graphics and season modes like SvR 06 and has the gameplay of here come's the pain..
that would own any other wrestling games.

2006 was pretty good after 06 it just went to shit after I don't understand why they changed the gameplay from here comes the pain it had the best gameplay ever

this game had the best roster out of the others IMO,Goldberg, Lesnar, Steiner, Nash, Austin,Rock, the Dudleys,Rhyno, The Hurricane plus shit loads of awesome Legends...what more do you want ??????

This is way better than the rubbish Smackdown vs. Raw franchises.
This era in the real WWE was better than the current WWE too.
This was the best Wrestling game ever. While the new games are better i still like the story in this game.
This game was just a piece or art. Game included equaly fun and challenge. why they can`t make wrestling games like this and No Mercy (n64) , these new WWE games are just too boring and dull. WWE 12 best feature was that WCW was brought back after many years but otherwise that and pretty much everything else after HCTP was just waste of time.

i like the fact that you can decide whether your wrestler is a heel or face nad control how evil of a heel or how cheesy of a face he is. now its boo or cheer. thats not creative

imagine a remake of this on ps3 and xbox 360 and pc with the same season mods and stuff and a new graphic engine they could call it some thing like WWE LEGENDS lol
Well I can only judge games based on my experiences with them. I got a lot of game time out of Raw 2 but I got much more from the Smackdown series.
Yeah but in Raw 2 the AI is so screwed up that your "enemy" ends up being your ally, so the whole friends/enemies thing is silly. The only really good thing about Raw 2 is the create-a-wrestler and being able to edit the wrestlers, although you can't change their hair which sucks.

Their making the series more up-to-date at this point. Roster-wise, that is no problem to me. I love to see the new talent in games. But gameplay/ match-wise, I think that they should go back to the level of SYM and HCTP.
@helookslikefamousppl. Me too actually. The 1st SvR is too liner for me to enjoy anymore. I just played through 24/7 (superstar) mode in '08 almost 5 times without gettin bored. I had to switch brands and lose some matches on purpose here and there, but it was a lot better than I remember it being.

Man I have Legends of wrestlemania , svr 2010 , but this and SYM are the only ones i ever play!
I wish they would put this on psn. Id buy it. And I'm sure many other would to.

@316whatup It had tag team entrances. And HCTP's season mode is better than any story mode.
@hrtuvchrome World Tour was the first wrestling game I ever played. But I actually prefer WCW/NWO Revenge. No Mercy and Wresltemania 2000 copied the gameplay, but in my opinion Wrestlemania 2000 is the best N64 wrestling game, in that it's actually a real SEASON mode not STORY. I wish they would've used the gameplay from Wretlemania 2000, No Mercy, World Tour, and Revenge and the season structure of Attitude, Warzone, ECW Hardcire Revolution, and Anarchy Rulez.

You can play this game perfectly with PCSX2, on your PC. You just need a dual core and a decent graphic card. :) It really pwns.
