This was the moment that crowned Vegeta as king for me. This is what made Vegeta really change into a force of goodness, and ironically it's at the end of the original story, but it's so GOOD of a moment.
I am surprised how similar Vegeta's original voice and Vegeta's latin american one sounds, considering how Goku and Gohan sound nothing like, but at least those are cool sounding.
I'm kinda surprised that one of Hololive's talents went into DBZ. I'm glad she's experiencing the same set of feelings and emotions that a number of us had watching it. It's doubtful but I hope she's able to enjoy the TFS version even if she doesn't stream it.
Vegeta is my favorite character because he is essentially Japanese. He acknowledges the bad his planet did, but also the good. He sacrifices himself selflessly, like a true warrior
The animation was fun, but you have to admit that whole scene is easily one of the more heartfelt genuine scenes in anime. Between the character development for the stoic and prideful vegeta, the emotional impact in the typically action oriented anime, and the stellar animation choices, I think its one of my favorite scenes in anime as a whole. Makes my eyes water, just a bit.
I love Vegeta's character development throughout Dragon Ball Z, and even though I know about the Dragon Balls are able to wish him back, it was still emotional. T-T
honestly vegeta sacrifice is the most watched moment in the series from introduction his change of heart to wanting to achieve equal stature with goku it wasn't just piccolo it was also VEGETA!!!
I don't know if I cried the first time I watched this scene. Or remember if I did the second time I saw the scene. But this third time, yes, I had a tear. Beautiful expressed, Artist. Having said that, the transition from the end of the dramatic scene to the closing music was too soon for me and could have appropriately been less informal with its music. But you have your reasons, what I can and can't imagine. Wonderfully drawn.

I find it crazy that Toriyama didn't give a shit about Vegeta and he still had the greatest character arc of DBZ and one of the greatest in shonen. From genocidal mercenary to loving father and husband, and defender of earth.
