The Storm outfit is her very first, original look, from the comics when she first appeared in 1975. Yes Charles Xavier, in the comics, had an assassination attempt on his life where here was gravely injured and Lilandra took him to space to give him aid (they actually cloned his body and moved his mind into it, where is original body actually died. The clone body allowed him to walk, but they seem to splitting the hairs by allowing the outfit give him the ability to walk while keeping him still handicapped which actually is a good call for handicapped fans not seeing a disability just hand waved away).
The fact that professor X could sense the mutant massacre from across the galaxy just shows how impactful it was and how many died all of a sudden that he felt it. Also, Prof X didn't die in the show , he was taken by the shiar to try and save him, but it wasn't a sure thing, so they all just said that he died. The X-men know this. They just play along with the death thing. It's easier than explaining that he's in space undergoing alien treatment.
The OG show didn’t end with Charles dying, he was taken away by the Shi’ar and the X-men were there, so they know he was taken to try to find a way to save him, that’s probably why the X-Men never say “he’s dead”, they say “he’s gone”, but to the world they made it look like he died. Fast forward 1 year later and having no news about him being out of danger or not, I think even them lost a little hope on the professor being OK. This episode was very exciting, since episode 1 I’ve been waiting for them to adress the actual ending of season 5, cause we all knew Charles was alive.

I hope we get to have time to explore her magical side because of the magical heritage she possess from her mother lineage; long line of African priestesses who have white hair and blue eyes to include her mother who was a Kenyan Princess I believe and her dad was a Black American journalist. Also, one of her ancestors was a sorceress Supreme and passed down the magical abilities to mother to daughter, So not only is she a mutant but she also theatrically become a sorceress and be a next Sorceress Supreme if she wanted to and is the reason why in one story arc she has her own version of Mjolnir called Storm caster. Her saying I cant breathe is from her long term childhood trauma of claustrophobia due to as a kid, a missile struck her childhood hoe in Cairo during the Suez Crisis, her parents perished on impact and she was buried under rubble for days which developed her claustrophobia.
Fun fact: The dude in the navy blue and mostly red suit is Cyclop’s brother, Gabriel summers. I’m gonna say he’s the baby bro or the middle bro. I hope they bring that together cause Havok is the coolest Summers. Gabriel is the one at 4:13 to be more specific, it’s other mfs with navy and red on 😂.

They just have to get the casting correct in the MCU because she is an important X-Man.
if you notice during the flashback Charles has, he doesn't see magneto because he's not dead... magneto can teleport himself and others. It's a rare circumstance he doesn't do very often, but he can.

Storm's pretty much stepping into her godhood that was always hinted at, but definitely explored in recent years. The tiara and black costume were her first X-Men costume going back to her 1975 debut. It's interesting they have her wearing her original costume but new to the show. And this isn't the first time she materialized a costume out of thin air. Remember when she and Rogue were at the mall in the first episode of the original show? ;)

So, they took him far away to her home world to possibly save him from death which they obviously did. Also, because comics, they weren't going to kill him off for good.
Everyone wondered why Beau DeMayo was fired…well episode 6 alone is definitely the reason. Storm wanting to be something other than what she born to be and how it hindered her…how she denied herself power but learning to love herself she found a power that represented her all this time..she became the lightning. "Kissing the hand that beat you"…loving that which oppresses you..ridding yourself of this disease (demon). Forge spitting facts and Xavier and his argument with him realizing his home is with his people…dancing, drinking and loving with his own kind only. A message that was always apart of the comics yet it took someone who is of that world to articulate it..Xavier and Storm’s moment of "woke" is open as heck. Yeah this is why he was fired. This episode is Amazing and Storm is able to alter the unstable molecules in materials using lightning at a subatomic level and this allows her to change her clothing at any time. Jean was able to do the same later after receiving the Phoenix force. That alone told readers how Storm was already next level and how other heroines needed an upgrade to catch up and again this was in the original comic universe 616. Storm also ascended into Godhood after defeating the God called the Adversary who could only be defeated by a God but this also ties into Storm ancestors sorcery and magic and how she has been using the mystic art along with her natural powers. As for Xavier, I do remember that he was taken into space during his supposed death in the comics and during this time Lilandra was impregnated by Xavier. Its a continuation from the X-men animated series where he was taken because he needed to be healed when he lost control of his power which in the comics it was revealed that his twin sister, a more powerful telepath, who also played apart in him losing control. Hopefully we get to see Onslaught and we can witness Storm and Marvel Girl full Omega Level Powers and this will also bring in the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man. I also seen Vulcan so hopefully his Omega Level status be announced by a sentinel like with Storm and Magneto

The definition of omega level mutations is always changing but currently the established definition is that the person with the greatest iteration of that power is omega level. With that in mind, since there are other telepaths that are considered stronger than Charles he isn’t omega level
Because his powers have a limit without the assistance of Cerebro. He is an Alpha level Mutant though with help from Cerebro an Omega level Mutant. He is still the greatest telepath in the universe basically
Charles isn't actually an exceptionally powerful telepath. What he is is incredibly *skilled*, which, unless you're completely outmatched, counts for a lot more when it comes to telepathy. For example, Rachel Grey is more powerful than Xavier, but she's been beaten, easily, when going mind to mind against Emma Frost who is probably one of the five most skilled telepaths on Earth. Jean is both skilled and insanely powerful.
Bring back BEAU DEMAYO as a showrunner and writter. Season 2 will not be the same without his genius. Who cares about his OF page and being "hard to work with" whatever that means in this Gen Z snowflack era.

That's why the Adversary was telling her to "believe the lie" so that she could keep feeding off Storm's misery. Forge was also able to visibly see Adversary because his mother was a Shaman and he is magically inclined even though he favors technology over magic. I think Storm triggered her mystical ancestry because she comes from a line of African sorcerers, hence the transformation. She should be even more powerful than she was before now. She got the mysticism (which deepens her connection to the elements) and the omega-level muntant gene combo now.
