here is a new vlog (filmed prior to the fire). in this video i share my sister & brother-in-law's new apartment in downtown dubai, a trip to the hairdressers, a cinema date night & being reunited with my family! we visit the dubai mall, watch the dubai fountain show & go for an all you can eat brunch at bubbalicious.

So I’ve seen this before but I just rewatched it… I love how you support Kel and Nath with their dreams (so proud of them and so thankful they have you & Adam there too 🥰), loved listening to you chat in front of the mirror & how you phrase things, loved yours and Adam’s singing, loved your hair 😍 but LOVED LOVED LOVED seeing you all together at brunch & dancing in the sea! Hi, can you explain a little
More please why you have to go to Oman and back in for your dubai visa? Are you staying there on a tourist/visiting visa? I’m asking as I am considering a move to Dubai. Great vlogs 👍🏼😊

Hey Sabah! thanks so much for your comment 😊
yes sure, so because I was going in and out of Dubai frequently over the past year to visit england, I never got my 'residency visa' in Dubai until very recently. therefore it meant I had to "renew" my visa every 40 days because I was technically a tourist. i essentially had to leave the country and come back again to get a refreshed 40 day visa.
a lot of brits who move to Dubai will have to do a 'oman visa run' because the turn-around time of securing a job, getting a residency visa, and an emirates ID - usually takes longer than 40 days.
but I should add a few things:
- most people only do one.. maximum two visa runs
- until very recently, you could use a 'visa run' company but they have now stopped. if you need to do a visa run at any point, you'll need to organise your own way of getting there. you also can't use a hire car, unless the hire company are willing to give a 'no objection certificate' which is unlikely!
- i get given a 40 day visa because i'm from the UK (well it's actually 30 days but you also get given a 10 day grace period so 40 days). but a lot of other nationalities get given a 90 day visa which is fab - and hopefully means they won't need to do a visa run at all.
- if you ever want to check when your visa is expiring, you can use this link: smartservices.icp.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/default.html#/fileValidity
p.s - this footage is from 2 months ago, i am now classed as a 'uae resident' so i won't be doing anymore visa runs 😊 hope that helps and if you do decide to move to dubai, i hope it goes smoothly & you love every minute! take care x
