I am excited about these, but would have loved all the Dinobots to be Leader Class size to replicate their Gigantic Awesomeness like in the 80s Cartoon.
Also, Optibotimus, you were wondering about the Prime armor, if you fold in both of the "thumbs" on the armor, there will be a couple of slots on each side of the 'dactyl head for it to tab into.
I remember not liking the missile launchers on the original G1 Swoop. Mostly because none of the other dino modes had mounted weapons. But with this new figure, I miss them. He doesn't fully look like Swoop without them.
I think combining Dinobots is an amazingly awesome idea I think that they should have been a combiner in the original cartoon to go up against Devastator. Even though they can kick his ass without combining. Them badass Dinobots.
The Fist 'Prime Armor' can be attached on the backside to form a backpack of sorts instead of using it at the chest/using is as a shield (which both looked ugly in my opinion) using pegs in the thumb(s) pegging it on the wings whose peg holes were designed to hold his legs when he's in his alt-mode.
I am so happy about this new Swoop! Not to mention that we will finally get a Dinobot combiner! (Volcanicon BTW) Swoop looks very nice in both modes, I'll be looking forward to getting him and all the other Dinobots, just amazing!
I always loved the idea of the Dinobots combining, they just seemed out of place, what with Defensor and Bruticus and Computron and those guys. The Autobots were always at a disadvantage, sadly.
It’s a shame that these figures are coming out now that Botcon and the Collectors Club is gone. They would’ve had fun with making new combiners, and could’ve made a proper Combiner Wars Terrasaur and Fractl
From what i have seen in other reviews...there should be either two pegs or tabs near or on the alt mode head that the thumbs fold in and attach to for the chest armor...in arm mode most reviewers tend to rotate and fold up which ever thumb isn't being used along the inside of the fist...in either combined mode those two slots on the wings you mentioned actually fold in and attach to tabs on his small robot mode arms or torso...oh yeah and for Swoop you don't need to use the Clobber (Grimlock) titan master in the armor, just use the Ptero (Swoop) Titan master in his hand slot instead...lol
I'm surprised you didn't complain about the dino head/beak not connecting or tabbing to the back of the head in dino mode. A lot of other reviewers have complained because theirs are loose.
I thought i did mention that it doesn't tab in. Either way, it doesn't bother me because as you can see, it's not very loose on mine, so it's not really somethign that obviously bothers me

Earth Wars released Strafe into the game well over a year before this guy was even revealed. In other words, Earth Wars Strafe wasn't based on the Power of the Primes deluxe Swoop or if it was then it would've been extraordinarily early concepts.

Just got my Swoop and am slightly disappointed by the fact that mine has a minor design flaw in the right knee. It doesn't sit right in dino mode. Oh well. Still love the figure, though.

for 17dollars i rather get the ko dinobots g1, i bought swoop and slug, slug is jst not up to expectation, cheap plastic, small dino mode, hole on the chest.
Well seeing how this bots feet are a little longer than the G1 version I don't think it would look right - everything being the same they would stick out too far.
In fact, I'm going to correct your correction :P Pterosaurs (including Pteranodon and Pterodactyls, etc) were NEVER considered Dinosaurs, not scientifically. It was only ever poor public perception that looped them all together. They're a related, but separate reptile branch on the family tree. As are other misconceptual "dinosaurs" like plesiosaurs, mosasaurs, dimetrodon, etc...just because their ancient reptiles does not mean they are dinosaurs...Birds, however, are scientifically considered dinosaurs as they come straight down the therapod family line...so Lazerbeak is more of a dinobot than Swoop :P

Prime armed has a port on the altmode head next to his eyes I think where the two tans on the thumbs go into
