This was a great reaction. You have a good ear for many of the little details that Floor puts into her performances and, crucially, *why* they're there. The large variety she uses in dynamics, vocal colour, phrasing, and vocal effects (breathiness, fry, cry, vibrato, etc) are all used to aid in storytelling and in conveying emotion. I think Floor's musicianship in deploying the huge array of things she can do in a way that works well in conveying the intention of the music is somewhat under-appreciated relative to people being awed by her vocal power and other technical gifts, so I'm always happy when I see anyone actually grasp that Floor puts every little detail into her singing with a purpose.

I have been a huge fan of Houston, Adele, Gaga, Franklin, Carey, Sia, Aguilera, Warwick, Holiday, Fitzgerald, all of which are experts in their genre and beyond. With that all said, the tonality, dynamics, modulation, pace, pauses, and delivery Floor brings to music is far ahead of the greats forementioned. Her genre versatility is off the hook as well. But here's the part that she doesn't have that the others do, recognition as perhaps (without debate IMO) the finest well rounded female vocalist of our times.
this song might start a little slower but yo when this picks up and then picks up again some very cool rhythms and transitions between parts of the song and the stamina and power that she has in abundance sounds like tina turner up there with those very cool higher registers in her voice they just take you somewhere else
@Aaliyah Capili: If you want to hear Floor do straight operatic vocals, I have some tracks for you to react to: 1) Shoemaker, Nightwish. This song is about Dr. Eugene Shoemaker, who died in 1997. He is the founding scientist on the idea that craters on Earth are caused by meteors and asteroids. He also helped discover the Shoemaker-Levy-9 comet. Most importantly, he is the only person to be buried on a celestial body outside of Earth, having been cremated and his urn launched to the moon's South Pole. 2) Christmas Truce, Sabaton. Sabaton is a band that sings about military history. Floor's husband, Hannes Van Dahl, is Sabaton's drummer. Christmas Truce is about the "Christmas Truce" of World War I, in which French, German, and British troops had an impromptu cease-fire on Christmas Day. Floor supplies operatic vocals at the end. 3) Phantom of the Opera, Beste Zangers, 2019. Beste Zangers is a Dutch TV show where different singers sing songs for each person taking part. Floor dueted with Henk Poort, who has played the Phantom in numerous shows. When the video was released in 2019, it had the most views in 24 hours of any video released that year, and to my knowledge, no video has yet broken that record.
Floor said in an interview that the sustained high belting just above her natural range made it the hardest song for her to sing. I think your natural voice is probably around the same pitch, this would probably be uncomfortable for you to try. Lovely reaction.
But these belts aren't above her range though. In the last section she belts many times F5 which is completely in her range. Her belting range goes up to G#5. The most difficult thing is probably how she has to belt that high phrases without getting strained.
You have a new subscriber! It's great to have a younger woman, that is being classically trained, listen to, and enjoy Nightwish and the Valkyrie Queen! Yes, Floor has been classically trained! If you want to hear her sing a little more classical song, check out Floor singing on a German Show, Beats Zangers 2019. Here she is with Dutch singer Heck Poort singing: The Phantom of The Opera! ruclips.net/video/plCScjvDOJM/видео.html
Dutch singer Floor is rocking the place all over. As I'm Dutch recommend you another Dutch mindblowing 'fairy tale' gothic metal band called Blackbriar. One of their stunning songs is Deadly Diminuendo: ruclips.net/video/G6YFa05L2A8/видео.html Also 'Snow White and Rose Red' ruclips.net/video/n9iAU3Vsz9Y/видео.html and also super: Weakness and Lust: ruclips.net/video/dcNCIewWhBs/видео.html
If you measure yourself against Floor do it only where she was at your (age) or point in career. To attain what she has is as rarefied as TB12 reaching 10 SB winning 7. This only happens to the most incredibly talented and fortunate people. Floor is a Goddess pretending to be a mortal. We receive endless blessing from her.
I appreciate your perspective on way Floor sings. I don't really see this as a critique of the way she sings. She and the band have been doing this longer that you've been alive. I look at your reaction as a learning experience for you. That is not disrespectful to your opinion I think you do a great job of breaking it down.
Don't apologize for pausing the video... This is your reaction - you stop when you want and people listen to what you have to say. Because that's what "reacting video" is all about. And if someone doesn't stop and comment - it's better to listen to something else 😛😛 Thanks and best regards. 😆
I like that you pay attention to 'minor' vocal details. They are important, emphasizing the lyrics, the emotion. Also stopping and going back is just fine, helping you to make the point you want to make. Very enjoyable reaction, thank you!
Exactly the stopping is only a problem if you don't go back 5 seconds or so, because when you go a little back it helps with the flow of the Song.
Thanks so much for your feedback, i truly appreciate it. Have a happy week🌺

Great reaction. You should listen: ghost love score live at wacken, story time live at wacken, poet and the pendulum at wacken, the greatest show on earth live at Wembley, romantiside live at wacken, phantom of the opera Floor Jansen ft Hank port. Enjoy! :)
PS. Floor is a vocal coach :)
Thanks so much Magdalena for all of your recommendations, i truly appreciate it🌺🌺🌺

Thanks so much for sharing🥰🥰🥰
👍👍😎😎🤘🤘
this song might start a little slower but yo when this picks up and then picks up again some very cool rhythms and transitions between parts of the song and the stamina and power that she has in abundance sounds like tina turner up there with those very cool higher registers in her voice they just take you somewhere else
Thanks so much for sharing💕

♥️♥️♥️
have you reacted to Devin Townsend EMG TV Kingdom? It's actually mandatory that all RUclips Reactor's react to it. :)
Thanks so much Mr. Oscar, i will definitely check it out too🤗
@Aaliyah Capili: If you want to hear Floor do straight operatic vocals, I have some tracks for you to react to:
1) Shoemaker, Nightwish.
Thanks so much Mr. Isaiah for taking the time to share, I will check out your recommendations😍🥰have a wonderful day🤗
You are good
Thanks so much Mr.David
Floor said in an interview that the sustained high belting just above her natural range made it the hardest song for her to sing. I think your natural voice is probably around the same pitch, this would probably be uncomfortable for you to try. Lovely reaction.
Thanks so much for sharing🥰🥰🥰
But these belts aren't above her range though. In the last section she belts many times F5 which is completely in her range. Her belting range goes up to G#5. The most difficult thing is probably how she has to belt that high phrases without getting strained.
@@jokuku3669 I added "natural" to range. In the interview Floor said what he said.

It's great to have a younger woman, that is being classically trained, listen to, and enjoy Nightwish and the Valkyrie Queen! Yes, Floor has been classically trained! If you want to hear her sing a little more classical song, check out Floor singing on a German Show, Beats Zangers 2019.
Here she is with Dutch singer Heck Poort singing:

Dutch singer Floor is rocking the place all over. As I'm Dutch recommend you another Dutch mindblowing 'fairy tale' gothic metal band called Blackbriar. One of their stunning songs is Deadly Diminuendo: ruclips.net/video/G6YFa05L2A8/видео.html Also 'Snow White and Rose Red' ruclips.net/video/n9iAU3Vsz9Y/видео.html and also super: Weakness and Lust: ruclips.net/video/dcNCIewWhBs/видео.html

Thanks so much🌸
If you measure yourself against Floor do it only where she was at your (age) or point in career. To attain what she has is as rarefied as TB12 reaching 10 SB winning 7. This only happens to the most incredibly talented and fortunate people. Floor is a Goddess pretending to be a mortal. We receive endless blessing from her.
Yes she is truly one of a kind and very inspiring🌸🌸🌸thanks so much for sharing🌸🌸🌸
I appreciate your perspective on way Floor sings. I don't really see this as a critique of the way she sings. She and the band have been doing this longer that you've been alive. I look at your reaction as a learning experience for you. That is not disrespectful to your opinion I think you do a great job of breaking it down.
Thanks so much Mr. George, I am really learning a lot from all of them, they are truly inspiring😍😍😍
*Still waiting for that 2nd video reaction of Christina Ramos I sent you before*

Can I request Dreamcatcher's Dejavu reaction here? Dreamcatcher is a K-pop group that haves rock sound.
Hello thanks so much, i will check them out too🌺
Don't apologize for pausing the video... This is your reaction - you stop when you want and people listen to what you have to say. Because that's what "reacting video" is all about. And if someone doesn't stop and comment - it's better to listen to something else 😛😛
Thanks and best regards. 😆
Thank you very much for your kind understanding♥️😍♥️regards and have a great day always💕

@@AaliyahCapili she has dope songs. Are you named after her?
@@Tylan0l my mom said that when she was thinking of a name for me, she knows of a singer name Aaliyah, i guess it inspired her to name me Aaliyah🥰🥰🥰
@@AaliyahCapili that's awesome. Your name in Arabic means "The Highest, Most Exalted One, The Best" 👍🏾
To start reacting Nightwish old songs, it must be done with original opera singer Tarja Turunen. Only after you can react to cover😂
Thanks so much, i have some reactions on them too, their amazing
