Nice. I just bought myself a WE Drakon. Very similar to that knife and I love it.
My first We knife and I love it so far.
It's a beautiful piece and an absolute bargain! I have to watch your 4K videos with a bib.
Fantastic... WE is simply smashing the competition, at this price point.
The bladeshape is just not for me, but wow what amazing finish work. WE just keeps on getting better.
That polished stonewash Ti is 💯
That's crazy for the price fit and finish WE nailed it
Lane Howard they REALLY did!
Totally!
I've got #74 - my first We knife, and I'm not disappointed. Fantastic action, fit and finish are just gorgeous. Thanks for the great review, man
Some people might mistake it for the snazziest Spyderco Byrd ever made. The blade ramp is odd, and I’ve only seen that on Bark River fixed blade knives. Having said that, you and your fans know what it is, and it’s pretty cool.
I picked up their 702 and it’s very stout! It’s price makes it easier to EDC, compared to the other 400+ integrals. Thanks for the review. It look like a very nice pickup.
i cant get enough of that integral
First knife from We that doesn’t make me think Mystical Ancient Chinese Ninja Warrior.
Thanks for the heads up! I picked up a burple. The ano job is the best I have seen, it has a firey opalescence with the red/pink fleck in the finish. The CF inlays are seamless. My first WE is quite impressive.
Doc,looks like a winner! Just ordered one.I was not going to buy a knife this month but could not resist. Thanks for another great video.
I agree with you on how the handle looks, stupendous
Great video. I'm loving mine. I just wish they put a chamfer where you disengage the lock bar. Now I need to pick up the JACK and then I'll be done buying knives this year.... hopefully lol.
Simply beautiful, thank you for sharing it with us,,
I love the larger We Knives and really wanted this one but could never get my hands on it. I wish they would release a mass produced version. I carry a 608 daily and love it, and this is about the same size.
Doc look up Zelrick on you tube he has a video on how to disassemble the pivot on the 702 it's actually quite simple. Good luck.
The titanium has a finish of galvanized metal!
Besides my WE707 this is the only other model I would buy. I guess I have to hurry up.
WE’s designs aren’t particularly my thing but Damn, they can machine and have nice fit and finish. Thanks Doc.
This is the first WE I have been excited about in a very long time... I'm very seriously considering selling a couple knives to fund one of these. Probably in the grey as well.
I just bought 94/150 in the Blurple finish at We Be Knives at Pier 39 in San Francisco, they had both colors but I just couldn't take my eyes off the WE, I ended up picking it up instead of the Rike 1508 that I went to the store for
I saw your IG post initially. I am not a Chinese made knife fan. But, I was very impressed with the 811B. They were obviously priced at a bargain IMO, so I ordered one. While looking, I saw they were sold out at a couple locations. Looking forward to getting it. Great review!
Paul Magor I hope you like it! It's an amazing exercise in manufacturing for WE!
Definitely the coolest finish I've seen on a WE knife, although the overall styling doesn't quite do it for me. And that lockbar insert DLC coating is a misstep IMHO. Why not treat it the same as the pivot cutout? That was one of the things I _loved_ on my 702 was the matched milling and subtle finish on the cutouts. WE has always been the Infiniti to Reate's Lexus so it's interesting to see them flirting with higher end production for house designs. Then again, they were asking (and getting) $300 for everything they made not 3 years ago. With companies like Holt doing what they do for $550ish, is the ceiling for Chinese production knives $500? Great time for knife enthusiasts anyway! Look forward to your final diagnosis.
slidetek totally right. Was wondering the same thing about the lockbar insert. But perhaps it is a D2 insert and now it's DLC coated and even better. There must be a reason.
slidetek also, the dropping prices of integral designs is a wonderful thing for us all. Thanks for your thoughts as always Tony!
awesome video. I love my We 702. I might just have to pick up this one.
Can’t wait to get my blurple 811!!!
Thanks for a great video. I’ve become a fan of WE Knives. I have a blue one arriving today and can’t wait to play with it. 🖖
ronfaircloth I think you'll be impressed
Tempting Doc, very tempting! I have not purchase a We as yet. Trying to wait for the Reate JACK, but ....
This knife is Awesome and I like mine a lot .
Just bought the last one on Blade HQ. Says they're sold out now HA. I'm very excited :)
Have a similar knife (the new 819A); just wondering if you noticed that the ceramic detent ball has a deep groove along its contact area. It's easily visible with a magnifying glass. Could be it's just on mine and as such a manufacturing defect.
this is fkn dope....to bad im still to adverse to spemding that on a knife, im still sticking to 150 and below. Man that finish on the titanium is dope. Icewash.... .you just coined a new term bro....i like it
Very nice Thanks for the Great Video
Love you videos. Keep um coming!!! Where did you find the fancy handle that hold your torx bits?
Looks like galvanized steel. I would buy this thing but I want the pleroma and double helix more. I may get it later though. Hmm already spent 1400 on knives this month so gonna wait and see if I still like it later.
f22shift 300 made
The Jack what a beautiful piece. Thx for sharing Doc. Not a fan of We designs and esp colors but this one seems decent.
oh so beautiful.
Sucks that they are already completely sold out. The Reate Jack is massive, or else that would be an option.
Quick update: I just ordered mine today. Knifecenter had a few more that they got in. SO happy to be getting my first integral.
Great review, awesome cool knife
….impressive ! ...have a great week...
Thoughts on the We Drakon 819?
Though also integral, looks smaller, lighter, with a thinner blade/very fine edge. The fancy milled scale pattern looks awesome too, though I imagine that it might add unwanted friction against the pocket clip....
Hope your day is going well!
I really want one, but with a different blade! It just isn't quite the knife for me.
Damn that is a good looking knife! Thumbs up as usual! Now I want one.... Shit!
I would call it a polished granite finish
Do you know anything about the upcoming We "Anodyne" - a smaller integral - and when it might be coming out?
officialandproper I do not
Ah well, I guess I'll just have to be patient, eh? :)
It definitely shows production prowess and ability, but the design doesn't do it for me, personally. And the WE logo pivot is sort of a detractor from all their knives in my eyes.
Ahhhh! Found me an 811B son! Whitemountainknives.com re-stocked them today! YES!
Atilio Escobar did you use the discount code "7redi" for 10% off?
um...discount code?!? did u say this in your vid? cause, DAMNIT!! =/
Atilio Escobar sorry no, but I posted on my IG. The code applies to any purchase, maybe next time.
I regret passing on this now.
Funny that ZT things that a 0450FCZDP is worth the same as an M390 Integral. The 811 doesn't seems to be available here in Europe, which is weird, or maybe just hasn't arrived yet? Given how much marketing they do with the Bladestock Show and the EU Distributor basically around the corner from me.
Not sure. I'll ask!
My friend want that knife with serial number 073. Could you sell or trade for similar one?
Hmm- 811 or jack or Koenig Arius? About to drop the $ on one and can’t decide . . . any input?
Nice blade.. 💚💚💚💚
… 7/10; 1:00 cst...unless someone has a special hidden stash, there are no more 811B(silver) in stock...a 'few' 811A(blue) are still out there...they may release more later if available....have a good day...
JCB 67 In stock again as of today
...thanks....I think they're just teasing folks :-) ...have a great weekend...
JCB 67 Kind of seems like it, huh? I guess only 150 of these exist in the world, though, so they're bound to be scarce. Hope you have a great weekend too!
Your IG post made me buy one.
Jay Lim same here
how would u compare this to the plemora?
Another one for the list! ;-)
I dig it
Looks absolutely incredible. Thank you! (Or perhaps not thank you - if my wallet loses today's argument with me...)
What's the "sliciness" compared to the 702? I see that they have the same blade thickness, but this grind looks like it might perform better. Is that true?
I have the 702 and really like it, but must sometimes concede that it's not the best cutting certain types of things with that blade thickness and grind.
Would you consider making a comparison video with the two?
officialandproper this blade is more slicey but won't beat a PM2.
Doctor Frunkey thanks Doc!
Cool, but nqr design imo.... hope you enjoy doc!
Yummy mirror stonewash handle... 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Holy shit that's alot of knife for $350!!!?!!?!?!!!
Effin sold out..=\
pre-order it from knife center, they might be shipping more in
Yea! I was thinking that, but was a little hesitant because I've never done a pre-order thru them. Has anyone done a pre-order with them here in the comments? Quick! Help! Ha.
I pre-ordered Tyche 811B last week and after 2 days they told me they will be shipping serial number 75 to me! they have fast and responsive customer service, you can just give them a message if you have any doubts.
I'm not a fan of most we knives... But they do have some nice models. I won't be buying anymore though. This knife looks nice though. I've had varying issues with some of there knives. They aren't a terrible knife company but I don't have any more interest in them at all.
Id much rather have any reate over we knives. Way better products.
Also they say USA grade titanium but it is not as it anos way differently. So false advertising.
With all the effort put into this knife, I can’t believe they didn’t put a relief cut on the lock bar for your thumb. Huge oversight IMO, and actually going to be a deal break for me.
Ryan I that's too bad
all things considered still too much for the asking, from a china knife..
How so exactly?
just a few dollars more you could buy Chris Reeve's, Hinderer etc lifetime guarantee for your knife. Also American. This at $300 would just make more sense I think for WE and the consumer.
Those are knives are very different than though (and not just because they're made in the US). Integrals are always more expensive and $300 is only $50 more than a lot of their other popular regular knives (or the same price as a WE 702 which is an integral but much more plain). For $348 WE was (they're sold out everywhere now) offering a limited edition large integral with a pretty nice, unique finish on the titanium, hand finished satin blade, and polished carbon fiber inlays.
by all means go ahead I won't stop ya, just doesn't make sense for me.
