I did the DCP from May 2010-January 2011 and it was one of the best experiences of my life. So great, in fact, that I returned for a second program in January 2012, extended in July, then converted to a part time position once my CP ended. I would end up going full time later and ended up meeting my future wife while working for the company. It’s so amazing to see how the program has evolved since my CP days, y’all really lucked out with the new housing complex. Glad you’re enjoying the opportunity!!!
I'm only 13 atm but I want to be in the dcp so much! It just seems so much fun and I've loved Disney ever since I was younger. I go kind of often and it just givds off such a cool vibe
I think it would be interesting to learn which roles are the best. And I ask this because we are talking about a full-time job. And while some roles may be fun for a week or two, they may not be as fun after a month or two. Which roles do DCP participants most often extend? Which do they never extend? Which roles are usually around 9-5 with two consecutive days off? Which roles feature lots of activity with fewer periods of down time? Which roles feature varying responsibilities and challenges with no two days being exactly alike? Which roles feature more time spent with happy guests and less time with grumpy guests?
hi! these are amazing questions! 1. my friends in ALL different roles are extending next program! i'm sure there is a better statistic that i do not have access to. they are a majority food and bev, but that is also because a majority of this dcp is food and bev. 2. i am not sure what roles are 9-5 with 2 consecutive days off... i know there are a lot of people who work in the parks who get earlier shifts that are out around 4. however, a couple of my friends that work in the parks only get 1 day off a week. 3. i don't know about other roles, but mine (children's activities) is non-stop. i know that lifeguards are also on the go constantly. some of my friends in food and bev. say that they get bored at work. 4. i know in my role, every day is different! since so much of what i do is based off of guest interaction, i have to tailor my activities to the kinds of guests i am working with. example, trivia for adults. relays for older kids. group games for smaller kids. etc. 5. roles at the resorts get guests at their most relaxed since they are just chilling by the pool or in their resort room. any role at the parks gets more guests that are a bit more stressed and on the go.
Me too and I just found out on Monday that I was accepted! I’m in awe and was not expecting to happen to soon, so hoping there is a way to extend at least once
I was so set on doing the DCP, but my parents said I can't during college so I was so excited to hear that you can still do it after graduating college if it's within two years!!!! I am definitely going to do it after I graduate. I love your videos. :)

Do you know anyone in the DCP that got the role of Entertainment this year? I know you have to audition but I’m not sure if you can say that you’re auditioning on the application or how that all works. Thank you! This was really helpful!

Do you have to graduate from college before you go? Or can you graduate high school attend a college for a couple months then go into the DCP? I just need clarification. Thank!
hi jojo! enjoy the rest of your high school years! they were some of the best ones of my life!
to answer your question, to be able to do the dcp, you must have completed at least one full semester in college! so no, you do not have to be graduated :)
Could I still even if I go to trade school?
i'm not sure! i would try to contact a disney recruiter/ check the dcp website!
Is dcp just in Disney world or in Disney land and Disney world
it used to be in both parks. it ended in disneyland because of covid. hopefully they bring it back to disneyland soon though!
do you know if theres a specific dcp info website and or a phone number/email for people to contact about questions?
the disney programs website has all the information on that!! good luck!
I’ve been hearing you have to have a 2.0 gpa to apply. Is this true?
yup! you have to have a good standing in school. it is an internship after all!
i put my arrival date as january 10th and accidentally my departure date as november 17th. if i get accepted, what do you think my departure date would be because i thought your program can only be 5-7 months and i was hoping for 6 months due to school and work opportunities opening back up for the summer
if you get here in january, you will most likely have a departure in june regardless of what you put in your application!
@@TheCaitlynRose123 i got accepted and arrive in march!! thank you so much for your reply!! 🤍
